Dear Diary.
Today was the BIG day; it was bhaiya's engagement today, with Sakshi. Preparations were going on, Ragini was on the stool fixing up the decoration, I saw her loose her balance She was about to fall when I got a hold of her, Ragini couldn't look at me, while I couldn't stop gazing at her. She was in my arms. Even though it was for a little while, but she was there, I knew she would be feeling uncomfortable; I slowly kept her down, even though my heart didn't want to, but I had to. Ragini still had her arms around me. Our eyes met with each others, until I hear someone say "sorry" I looked to see who was here to ruin this beautiful moment, I was Sakshi, Ragini has gone to attend her, until she realises that the garland she was trying to fix had fallen off and was around hers and my neck. Ragini didn't even once turn to look at me, I walked over to her and removed it, I didn't remove my eyes off her at all, while she slowly looked on at me, our eyes once again met. I really didn't want this moment to end; Tammy came running downstairs to meet Sakshi. Ragini asked Tammy to take Sakshi to gunni's room. I continued to look at Ragini, I don't know why but my heart wasn't willing to let me look any other way, it was set on her only. I just couldn't get over the moment, did it really happen? Was she really in my arms? I only came out of those thoughts when I saw Ragini who left to do other work. I stood there looking at her walk away. It was a short moment, but I could live my entire life in that moment.
Later during the day I was in my room checking out my sherwani, when I saw Mrs Rajvansh through the mirror. She looked tensed, it made me wonder. I asked her if everything was fine, she nodded yes, even though nothing looked fine. She asked me for Ragini, I told her that she was in Gunni's room with Sakshi. Mrs Rajvansh left without saying another word, I wonder what it could be. I never saw her so tensed. I was still wondering when Ragini came up to me asking her to take her to the jewellers as well as pick up Sakshi's Report from the Hospital. I always look for a chance to be with Ragini, so why wouldn't have I agreed?
Ragini and I picked up the Jewellery first, and then picked up Sakshi's reports, which mentioned that she was Anaemic. When we both reached home we saw Sakshi in the main hall room. Ragini was talking to her in a very serious tone, which kind of got Sakshi nervous. We laughed and told her that she ad iron deficiency, and that she was Anaemic Ragini promised to take good care of her diet from now on. I told Ragini to show sakshi her jewellery that she would be wearing at the engagement. Ragini left with Sakshi while i went to meet bhaiya. He was looking really dashing, as well as happy. I asked him to be sure if he was happy, this is when i came to know that he was told that saadhna would return if he married Sakshi. For a second I couldn't believe my ears, did Mrs Rajvansh really say this to him? I asked bhaiya again just to make sure it was Mrs Rajvansh, but bhaiya told me it was khushi. Khushi? How can a small girl have a thought like this? I mean I just can't seem to believe my ears. Why would Khushi say such a thing? I saw this nervousness on bhaiya's face. he asked me a question which I had no answer to." Would Saadhna return?" What could've I said to bhaiya to make sure he wasn't left heartbroken. I just hugged him and assured him that everything would be alright. I think this got bhaiya a bit relaxed. I left to get ready when I saw it's not long till the party begins.
I was just coming out of the bathroom when I saw Ragini sitting in front of the mirror struggling to put her necklace on. I offered her my help, I sensed a bit of nervousness on her face, was she scared of me? Was she uncomfortable? Ragini rushed putting the necklace on, was about to leave when it fell on the floor. I looked at her with a slight smile on my face. She was about to pick it up but I guess I was a bit quicker than her, I indicated her to turn. Ragini without saying any word followed my indication and moved her hair away, while I put the necklace on. I made sure not to touch her while putting it on just so that she wouldn't feel uncomfortable; and this is exactly what I am afraid of. I didn't look at her while I ws busy getting the hook on, but i could feel her eyes on me. I looked at her through the mirror. God she was looking absolutely gorgeous. I complimented that the necklace looked really beautiful. Wait what was I saying? I wanted to compliment her, she was looking stunning, and that her wearing the necklace increased the beauty of it, and I did. I had to, tell her this. She just silently listened to me and responded by saying "thanks". I gazed at her while she walked away. I immediately looked at the other way when she turned to look at me trying not to get caught gazing at her. She told me that she took my clothes out. I just wanted her to be with me, no matter what it took to get her to talk to me. I asked for my shoes, she told me she bought new ones for me. She was so perfect; she knew exactly what I need. I wanted her to be there with me for a bit longer, I saw my handkerchief lying there on the bed, but I pretended not to see it and asked her for it. She sarcastically replied telling me that it flied to the garden. Flied to the garden? Wait how does that happen? Until she mentioned that it was right there on the bed. I was caught, Ragini had caught me, I guess she kind of guessed my intentions wanting to keep her a bit longer. I tried to justify but she asked me if I wanted her to give it to me, but I couldn't say anything, I was embarrassed. I just couldn't help myself but smile. Ragini asked me if she has permission to go. What could I have said? I really didn't want her to go, but it wasn't like I had any choice. Just when she was about to leave I called out to her, I wanted her to stay, but then I just let her go by saying "thank you" Ragini just smiled and asked me to get ready. Wow it was amazing, for the first time she was normal, and I don't know why but that time I felt as If Ragini was smiling at this situation as well. She left to check on the arrangements while, I thought about almost getting caught, or maybe I was caught. I don't know, I really don't know, but I was happy, very happy. I quickly got dressed and headed downstairs.
Ragini and I were at the door greeting all the guests, until we saw ma ji arriving with vinu bhaiya and malti bhabi. I knew how happy ragini would be seeing her mom. We were just inviting them in when we saw aalekh bhaiya and Sakshi coming down the stairs. I took bhaiya to meet the guests. But I couldn't see bauji anywhere, I saw Ragini stand there so thought to ask her about it. But she was tensed; I asked her why she was tensed, what she was thinking. She told me she feels as if she's seen this waiter somewhere. Of course she may have as they are in every party. I got to the real reason I was there, I asked her about bauji, and she told me he will not come, as he hasn't accepted this proposal. I mentioned about ma ji not objecting about this proposal. Ragini looked on at me, I couldn't help myself but to look at her until her eyes followed to where Ma ji was standing.
The announcement was made for the ceremony. For some reason bhaiya wasn't happy. I saw khushi whisper something in Bhaiya's ear, this brought a smile on his face, it looked a bit forced, but he still smiled. I sensed a hesitation in both Sakshi and bhaiya while placing rings. I looked at Ragini, who was looking at bhaiya. Aalekh bhaiya wasn't happy, I sense it. Mrs Rajvansh had announced that the wedding will take place 3 days from today. Why is she rushing things? Well i just wasn't over my thoughts on this when a waiter shows up congratulating Sakshi. Sakshi looked as if she was caught, she looked scared. It put everyone else in thoughts, until malti bhabi scolds him. The ceremonies had taken place, Mr Rajvansh and I had gone to check out on the dinner arrangements.
I saw ragini and bhaiya coming down the stairs; I went to check if everything was fine, Ragini and bhaiya both smiled and nodded. Bhaiya still wasn't looking happy though. Ragini excused herself, while I waited there with bhaiya. I heard something break. Malti bhabi and that waiter had clashed into each other. Bhabi started scolded him, vinu bhaiya tried to stop the argument, while bhabi wasn't willing to listen. I had to do something, I told gunni to stay with bhaiya while i go to handle situations. Bhabi informed me how this waiter was around sakshi throughout the evening. I was shocked!
