wonderful post Aparna...worth thinking..
I feel Vasu was a dominant character from her childhood. I wont say she was bad, but she definitely had a superiority complex about herself, which led to all these. This complex might have been in her, and also our society and family sometime become responsible to increase this complex. The surroundings of Vasu from her childhood might also be equally responsible, as instead of putting her to right track and checking her habits, they probably pampered her. It is not a very rare scene in our society, where someone beautiful is always pampered and parents have blind affection towards a child.
Also, I dont think its very logical for Vasu to marry a guy, who has rejected your own elder sister's proposal , just because she was dark complexioned and wanted to marry Vasu just because she was fair and more pretty. This also gives some wrong ideas about Vasu's character.
Next, with my thought that Vasu was dominant, this might have resulted in Indrajeet's and Vasu's widening of gap post marriage. No marriage can survive by control, rather marriage is where both partners share and show their understanding side.
Vasu minus her ego and her rude behaviour, is an ideal character, for me. If Vasu's personality can be acquired by any girl wihout that ego part, I am pretty sure, it will be great.
I hope Vasu's parents had rectified her, because childhood is the only time when someone can be moulded easily.
Thanks Bani 😊. Your right, the way Vasu is today has lots to do with her upbringing and the society. Remember CM had said that since childhood Vasu was given more preference as she was the youngest and whenever CM used to like something, their parents used to ask CM to give it to Vasu as she is small. So their parents themselves would have unknowingly made Vasu feel that she is supirior to her older sister (even though their intention was to pamper Vasu just cos she was the youngest, but Vasu took it in the superior sense). Then again, since Vasu was fair and CM dark, automatically Vasu would have always got more preference in the society, like everyone would flourish compliments only on Vasu (mainly due to the difference between the 2 sisters). So all these things during the growing phase would have contributed towards Vasu's superiority complex. Maybe the only reason y she was treated suprior was in comparision to CM, no other sense, but Vasu would have generally presumed herself to be supirior than all.
Vasu definitely has a dynamic personality, and is defiitely high calibered (the way she handles business, the way she maintained the goodwill of Rajvansh, both in the business world & society). But I guess its a package deal with the ego and pride. Maybe if it wasnt there, the aggressiveness to achieve whatever she has achieved till now might also not be there. From the way she always challenges everyone that she will only win eventually, we can make out this lady has always achieved whatever she has set her foot to and has hardly faced any failures in life (from materialistic POV).
Regarding Vasu agreeing to marry a man who refused to marry her sister, I think by then she had already taken it for granted that everyone prefers Vasu over CM. Maybe she was used to seeing CM always rejected and Vasu given more preference since childhood, so she wouldnt have considered this proposal also something different. She would have viewed Inder's proposal also in the same manner.
