for me, i wasn't upset at the brothers' reactions, i was more upset at the fact that the girls had to ASK for their permission. i think the brothers' reactions were ONLY out of love and not out of pride or fear (of their wives taking over or something, like some men). i think ranlekh really care about them, and can't see them be in pain, physically, and let's face it, keeping a job is very, very tough work and on top of that house work; hence why they don't really wanna see their wives work...i understand ranlekh's feelings, cause i myself am that way with my mother. you see, i work (though my father is the breadwinner), and couple days earlier, my mom asked me to request my employer to hire HER as well, and because it was a very tough, TOUGH job, i didn't want her to do it. in the end, i did end up trying, like she asked, but inside, i was very, very sad about it cause i couldn't bare to see my mom work so, soooooo hard. i even had the same reaction when my mom worked once in her life. that was her first and only job so far, in her life, and i gotta admit, every time she'd come home from work, it would almost make me cry, thinking about how hard she worked!!! and the funny thing is, she didn't even need to work, as my dad earns more than enough money for our entire family all by himself; so that only added to my pain. so i understand where alekh is coming from. he just doesn't wanna see sadhna work too hard, and hence his reaction. but of course, he should never try to stop her either, like i didn't try to stop my mom( and even helped her find a job), if that's what sadi really wants. and i'm glad to see that he didn't. so IMO, alekh is right from HIS perspective, and i understand where he's coming from.
but this is what kind of upset me: the fact that they had to ASK for their husbands' permission. discussing about it, and asking for their husbands' inputs an/or for their suggestions is one thing, but asking for their permission, as if it was THEIR decision, just didn't seem right to me. it seems to me that, had ranlekh said no, the sisters would've then listened to them ultimately, and that's what upsets me...why would they allow their husbands to have complete control over such things...??? the way i understand it, both sagini are well educated, and well, it costs an INCREDIBLE amount of money to get your kids an education; so why did sagini get it, more importantly, why would their PARENTS work so hard for them to get it...? so they can just sit all day and work in the kitchen...? i don't think so...i'm not saying its a bad for an educated woman to be a housewife, but if you wanna work, then go for it.... why do you have to ask for your husband's permission? also, why only do sewing work, when you have a much higher education, and can find a job that pays much higher as well...???
as for the CTs showing such portrayals, i don't really mind that, especially when its sooooooo REALISTIC. yes, this DOES happen, a LOT in real life. so i don't think just cause the CTs have shown it, it automatically means they believe in it as well. plus, who could blame them, really...? i mean, this is show business after all, and you show things, the audience WANT to see, or else, you won't make any money. and let's face it, STILL, as of now, the audience is NOT interested in watching a central female character, who works and provides for her family. i have noticed this a lot with shows that are like that. whenever a show has a central female character as a strong, bread-winner of the family, it gets canceled very quickly. so really, can you blame the CTs, especially when it happens so often in reality as well...?

I've rly been irked by Ragini submissive attitude towards Vasu when the fact is that due to Vasu's game, Kaushi could have died. That was the CTs butchering of Ragini's character.
Then Vasu is mouthin stuff abt Mamaji and neither of the daughters stand up for him. Second time butchering happens.
Now the brothers' characters are butchered too.
Inderjit's was already horrible.. just now is he starting to speak up.

All in all.. i think the only characters the CTs have managed not to screw up is Avni, Naveen, Vasu, Malti, Mamaji, Kaushi, and munna..lol

The awesome foursome are disappointing every few episodes now. It's a shame.

I would rly rly rly like Sagini to get a job in their field of talent!!! i want them to grow into strong women! I want the foursome to achieve success on their own. I want the girls to stand up to Vasu and then Vasu have a realization and apologize for attacking them and the Sharma's. I want Vasu to apologize to her sons and bahus.

I don't care how the happy ending is brought about.. i want the girls to bring it up in a strong way.

also, i JUST thought of this: alekh was COMPLETELY fine working with mallika, a FEMALE, as his business partner, and he was also ok with her being a business tycoon, handling her dad's business. so i don't think he's prejudiced, at all. he just can't bare too see his sadhna working hard, when he's there, and i can understand that...😊
btw, anu, i see you liked my post. would LOVE to hear your thoughts on this, if you can post it 😊

@ bold I hate how Ragini/Sadhna have either forgotten or chosen to ignore that VERY important detail. But imo, Ragini's character was butchered much before with her dialogues in the rift track. Of course, the CT redeemed her, and then butchered her again. You're completely right when you say the foursome disappoint every few episodes. It's now almost expected.

@ pricey
I understand your point about Alekh and you're probably right about why he reacted the way he did, but I was still disappointed with his reaction. I think the scene was very poorly executed and the dialogues were just terrible. But don't you think it should be Sagini's choice how much they work and what they do? And not Alevir's. Seemed like Ranvir said you do a part-time job, and Alekh said make sure it's not hard. Personally, I found that to be very insulting. Alekh's reaction was more disappointing because he seemed more upset about teh idea of both working and Ranvir seemed ok with it. I think education might also explain the slight difference in reactions between Alevir also.
Sagini were disappointing to with their asking for permission to work also. This should be more of a discussion with your spouse rather than a permission issue. And it definately looked like had Alevir said no, they wouldn't have worked--which is just NOT right.

@pricey28
Very well said. I didn't find brothers reaction and dialogues offending to women. In fact they both seemed genuinely concerned about the girls. Did anyone notice that Ranveer looked at Alekh and after Alekh gave him a positive sign he said OK to the girls.
There was a slight hint of possessiveness( in a cute way) in Alekh's reaction. He has seen how tough it was for Sadhana to work in Mallika's company. There is also the mystery guy factor and Vasu factor. If Vasu can harm her own son when he was working at the construction company then bahus kya cheez hai. Vasu is on a revenge spree these days.lol
As far as the girls are concerned, they are not really keen in working or making a career. Otherwise Sadhana would have been looking for a job after Mallika fired her and Ragini would have continued dancing. I didnt like the way they were asking for permission to work. If they really want to help in making a contribution towards KN mortgage then Ragini can give dance training to girls and Sadhana can take up private tuition's. They are just graduates, its not so easy to find a decent job with that qualification within few days.
