No what I'm saying is she could have made her life hell by always taunting her in one way or the other, but she didn't do that!
That's why I said she deserves some demi-credit for that!

and ignoring what ever that character has done. So thats like a classic example of how people tend to forget the main idea after seeing the 'face of someone' and ignoring the many atrocities he might have done. But then I thought Bidaai forum needs this topic as well cause that is the main jist of the whole story and people here are more balanced from what I have seen so I could generate some positive discussion.

Suchitra, you and I think quite a lot...may be like Bini and Eva, we can be partners😛

actually, I was about to take an example from Pratigya....about Kesar and Pratigya...both are bahus, and there was a dialogue wich was very insulting in the sense...that said Kesar comes to the room, and it becomes dark even with the brightest light...and then Krishna said that when Pratigya will come, her fairness will light up the room.

actually, your topic most suits the Pratigya forum...because although Bidaai's theme is on complexion, but the final question here is where really a fairer-skinned girl is luckier than her darkskinned partner...

But we are happy that you posted it here and gave us a chance to discuss...

OH MY GAWD. I thought i was the ONLY person to think like that lol😆 SO Glad i m not the only one. I was really liking that show in the beginning but as as soon in one episode krishna adviced a guy to "snatch" his love at any cost, be it throwing acid on the girl's face, immediately i changed the channel🤢 But i love the actor though, but not the character.

Sorry mods we r discussing other show here but we just needed such a classic example.

And i dnt think fair girls are luckier than dark girls or vice versa either. Somebody's happiness depends on their luck not their colour.

actually, after the initial problems, post Ragvir marriage, Vasu never taunted Ragini for her complexion....and I dont remember any other person also...Rather, DB took Ragini's side and troubled Sdahna,..just because Sdahna was gori....

Vasu was good to Ragini post marriage

GUESS WHAT, i fall for handsome guys too😆 It's fine if you fall for somebody cuz of their looks but personality matters the most. I have these really hot guys in my school, when i i see them from far far away, i drool but as soon they come close i m like ewww ITS THEM? uglyyyyyy lol. You know why, cuz their ugly personality just hides their beauty. So we shud get to know a person realllyyyyy well so tht we can realize if they are really beautiful or not.

I have no problem ppl disliking certain colour actually. I mean we can never argue why we like a certain colour rite, in the same way ppl probably like the "fair" colour & some ppl like the "dark" colour. My issue is that, just cuz its not ur favourite colour, dnt treat it UNFAIRLY. Equality & equal treatment is what i want.

Hahaha,I know-In other terms people should be able to differentiate between crush&love!
I(I guess everybody)obviously want my crush to be my love as well but when those people aren't good(Personality wise),all that hotness/beauty disappears.
I mean one can really not like a person with an ego.
I have seen many movies where the heroes are totally lattoo behind the girl just because she's pretty/fair etc and try to woo her as much as possible even though she doesn't give a bhav to any of them!
My question:-Why be behind a person who doesn't give care a damn about you even though she's all pretty and fair or whatever????
But well, that's the movie world and eventually the heroine turns out to be one of the nicest persons on earth!😆

But that's a wrong way of showing it actually!!It's junoon not pyaar!

Off topic:-I think both Romeo and Juliet are hopeless!😆

Yeah whatever!I think at the end of the day it's the personality which matters!

And about the colour issue--I really think people can like whom ever they want to--But wrong is wrong even though it isn't written in the law. They ARE morally wrong for discriminating a person.
Fair or dark--It's the same God which has made both of them!

The main problem in today;s generation is most people run after "hotness" and not values ...the character Krishna post marriage is shown to be in love with Pratigya but before marriage, I felt he was just obsessed. I was thinking that what of he had forced himself onto Pratigya, what would have Pratigya done, because the SS family will never come to her help.

Absolutely agree with you here.
If we could only practice what we preach then 3/4 th of the problems would be solved.

I am not sure if people here know the story of the creation. Many may be aware of it (those who come from the Islam, Judaic and Christian tradition)
That When God created Adam , Satan was jealous of Adam.

God commanded the Angels (creation of God Made of light) and Jinn (creation of God made of fire , to which Satan belongs) to prostrate before Adam (not to worship) and Satan (iblis, that was his original name) refused. He said

Oh God, I will prostrate before you but I will not prostrate before Adam.
I am better than him,
You have created him from Mud and Created me from Fire.
God said then , Oh Iblis you disobey me? there is no place for you in paradise and he was thrown out.

Scripture analysists have said that the Racism started from here. From the very essence and beginning of creation

Satan's problem and the reason why he disobeyed GOD was he thought he was better. Where as when Adam was created Angels questioned GOD that why are you creating a such a creation that will cause fasaad and Fitnah ( killings, trials , tribulation ) on earth. Then God said you do not know what I know , from them ( the progeny of Adam, mankind) there will rise pious men who will preach the oneness of GOD and they will be better ..

In other words...

This fight has been of "ego, I am better ... attitude" vs. Goodness and piety from beginning.

Thus one has to realize that if one endorses the feeling of "i am better he is following the footsteps of Iblis (Satan) who was thrown away due to this " and in the SIGHT OF GOD, the one who calls people to GOD and to piety and goodness is better and that is what elevated Mankind and differentiates mankind from all other creations so much so that , even Angels were asked to prostrate before this creation (i.e. Mankind) So if one lets go of his " I am better attitude, he becomes better than the Angels"

Sorry but I never liked these 'Love at first sight couples'..I've always believed in 'Lust at first sight'.
That's one of the reasons I love the Bidaai couples--They're so unique from all of the other!😳
NakSh too!

I can give you my example..my mother is dark, while my father is as fair as an European or any fair foreigner....although my mother has very nice features, but she had to always live with the impression that she is ugly, courtesy our society////
