Ok so I am also a trained kathak dancer in the Lucknow gharana, and it was very disappointing to see Sara/Parul dance today. Both lacked grace, one of the key components of kathak. Also, their movements were definately not up to par.
But to be to be fair to them, I believe they don't get that much time to practice, and neither are trained dancers in the first place so it's probaly very hard for them. I mean let's face it, if my guru told me that I have to perform in 2-3 days, even I will find it slightly difficult and would be very nervous about the performance, which is probably not going to be my best.
Also, we have to realize that this dance track isn't very realistic in the first place, so it's kind of futile to expect amazing dance moves from both.
Hopefully, the final performances are much better!

the quality of dance shown on bidaai is the same as the quality of advocates and lawyers on the show.....i bet the lawyers feel the same way the dancers are feeling today.....same goes for doctors......have u ever seen lawyers act the way they act on the show.......the whole show is fake....nothing makes sense.....all scenarios and their consequenses are wrong....if this was real life things would be different.....if this was real life both ragini and sadi will be out in the 1st round...so bear it....😊

let me clarify,

if you read my post, I am in way trying to demean Sara or Parul. I am just talking about the show and the flaw of the show.I dont know why it has always to end up with the comparison, if I really compare, then I would say both are pathetic dancers.

Music is said to be in people's blood. My niece from 3 year old could sing classical songs flawless and she was audiioned by no other than Guru Rashid Khan and taken as the disciple.

What I wanted to say is if there is a dance competition, why not train both the girls fo at least a month under a good choreographer and when the production house has such a dancer like Komolika Guhathakurta, just train the girls for a month under her and one can make out the improvement. Like the "nara" or thread tying for Sadhna is one of the best things that they could show. An artist has to have a proper guru and its a formality to tie a "nara" before accepting someone as a disciple. An artist without a guru is said to be a child without a father in the music world...this is reality I am speaking of.

Regarding Parul's movements, the character has problem with leg, not shoulder. First of all, in case a step is not done properly, the choreograoher should omit a step and give a step which suits the actor, and make it more pleasing to the eyes.

and whatever motif it is, if the production is showing a biggest dance competition, people need to feel while watching the show that indeed it is a big dance competition.

Sadhna again is learning Kathak for the first time..so mayb thats why that perfection was not thre..😳
And again its a small screen..we cannot expect everything to b picture perfect hereπŸ˜†πŸ˜³
Friends one request plss restrict your discussion about Sadhna and Ragini's dance moves only..don't bring in personal comments about Parul or Sara's dancing skills sinse they r just following the choreographer's steps..so lets stick to the characters and not judge the actors here😳

hey Jyoti, I was really impressed with your credentials and you are ganguly and I am ghoshal...😊

coming to the point, there is something called pleasing to the eyes..noone can be picture perfect unless you do a "Sadhna" of the art. otherwise, every other day, one great dancer can be born and years and years of practice will not hold true.

I just want to say, let Sadhna and Ragini do simple steps, but do correct...

Bani, we don't know! We might be pleasantly surprised. They may have trained Sadhana with Komolika already which they are not showing. Already Sadhana gave us a jhalak in the kitchen. Who knows there's more to come!!! I am a wishful thinker.. πŸ˜†πŸ˜†πŸ˜†

as i said....u are a trained dancer and from your prespective both characters are doing a bad job at dancing.....in the same way.....a lawyer watching the show during the ranvir case would feel frustrated too......i dont think the writers worry about the technical part.....dont u think alekh s recovery without the help of a trained psychiatrist is funny.....i mean the whole serial is filled with nonsensical stuff.....so no use loosing sleep at night.....just laugh it off😊

you are right...just laugh it off...but since I love Bidaai a lot, I want it to be the best, at least close to perfection.
