Hi friend,
So I just read the HA update where RS is explaining to the mob of women about why Sadhna cannot lie under oath. Since then, I've been wonderin about this.
Is hiding the truth really a lie? What exaclty is the difference between the two?
Obviously everyone has a different view of what can be termed as a lie and what is not. For some, hiding the truth is not, for others it is. I would love to read about your views on this!
PS. This is not in ANY way a Sadhna bashing or any other character bashing thread, so please do NOT turn it into one. I do not want this topic to closed like the numerous others lately. I just want a peaceful discussion on the difference between lieing and hiding the truth 😃

Maybe....
Me thinks both are one and the same..Coz if you hide the truth you'd have to fill in the missing parts with lies...And even if you don't,Half truth isn't complete..Like they say,"Half knowledge is dangerous" and truth in this circumstance is nothing but knowledge about the whole incident..My POV..
And,like you said it depends on everyone's POV..It depends on Sadhna what she thinks about the difference between the 2!

@saniha @ kamurelee i agree wid both of them..........as for that if the intentions were right why the need to tell truth......if a lie can save so many lives ...........and even ranvir didn't did it intentionally.........he jst saved the bhabhi....if he was nt there than the incidence wil harm sadhna.........hiding the truth for gud purpose is nt bad as even god wil forgive for this...........

Well, both can be valid point of views.
But taking Sadhnas character into consideration, she has never been portrayed (uptil now), as someone who feels that the absolute truth is more important than the happiness of her loved ones.
She has lied about Alekh and the marriage, consequently she hid the truth from Ragini and Ranvir about each others identity, she tried to hide what Alekh had heard about Navin being behind Vinu going to jail from Ranvir (Alekh had been really mad).
The thing is that this time it is much more serious. Ragini is already in terrible shape and the tension is not supposed to be good for the kid. So, for her to now tell the truth keeping all this in mind would be out of character.
Otherwise in the current situation, if a person goes either way, you cannot judge them. There are strong points for both sides.
But everyone is doing things completely out of character in Bidaai.
