Written Update 20/04/11

Hello all hope it's been a good day!! 😉

The episode begins with Laxmi opening the container where the chicken Tandoori is kept. Jenny gets excited and says 'Mera Chicken Tandoori'. (Reaction shots of all the family members showing shock/disgust/disappointment 😳) Dadi gets up angry the rest of the family stand up too. She says about how in this house meat has never entered & she brought it in. She walks off with the entire family following including Parag. Jenny just stands there with her mouth opened. They all gather in the hall where Dadi says to Parag why didn't you tell her meat is not allowed, I have pain in my feet & don't buy the medicine because it contains fish oils. Parag stands there with his head down as does Laxmi. Hurshuk tells her to calm down & dada says how can anyone be calm, this isn't a small matter. Just then Jenny walks in looking annoyed. Parag tells his granddad that he will tell Jenny that she's made a mistake & he'll explain it all. Jenny says that she made no mistake 😲 & that they all are making mistakes (full family reaction shots )… Jenny says this house doesn't seem like a house, it's more like a prison & storms off. Dadi curses her as Parag tries to call her back.

Dadi goes up to Laxmi and says had you lost your senses, you pray with us & know the rules of this house & you brought a dead animal into it. Suraj looks on in shock, whilst Meenaxi… (Thanks for the name taral83) has a smug smile on her face. Dadi says Jenny has no Sanskaar, but you have, is this what you learnt from your maternal home?! Kaveri sticks up for Laxmi saying if she knew that it was meat she would not have brought it here, the rest of the family members have a look of agreement. Dadi says to Kaveri are you her mother in law or her lawyer because whenever I hear from you, it's in her defence. The rest of the family look on, Dadi says if I said Laxmi made a mistake it means she made a mistake & that's the end of it (what kind of reasoning is that 😕). Laxmi says it is her fault she should have asked the restaurant what type of food was ordered, the rest of the family shake their heads in disagreement. Dadi says nothing changes by you excepting your mistake. You will have to pay for your sins with a severe punishment. Parag tries to reason with his Dadi but receives the 'talk to the hand' gesture. Then Dadi says that no one shall interfere & that Laxmi has to wash & do a Pooja first. Then hold her ears & apologise, then she has to clean the whole house with a cloth & soap to purify it, the family look on upset, but Dadi isn't finished and says that for two days she isn't allowed to eat either. Everyone speaks up & Dadi says fine I'll do the punishment & won't eat for two days instead (emotional blackmail at its best!😆). Everyone goes quiet & Laxmi agrees to do all the punishments. (Full family reaction shots again )

Next scene Parag angrily goes to Jenny and says for your mistake Laxmi is getting punished & Jenny is still adamant that she made no mistake, saying that she didn't tell Laxmi to open the container (the woman has no sense in how to respect other peoples traditions & rules 😡) & she goes on about how could he stand there and let Dadi show so much anger on her without doing nothing & that he made the mistake! 😲

Next scene shows Minny, her brother their parents talking about how they eat none veg out the house & the father says but they don't get caught. There's a big difference in eating in the house & out the house. The Son (don't know his name sorry!) goes well then Jenny didi should have gotten the blame and punishment not Laxmi didi as she had no idea what was in the parcel, he storms out with Minny saying why are you getting angry for, no one told you to go hungry! Meenaxi talks to her husband about how she's happy Kaveri's children have not lived up to anyone's expectation & the daughter in laws are in the same boat!.. . She says she knows that he is never happy when she is.

Scene shifts to Laxmi sitting in front of the mirror saying 'Sanskaar Laxmi' & how the family have given her so much respect by calling her this & now she has hurt them all & it's all her fault.

The scene shifts to Hurshuk saying he knows it not Laxmi's fault but everyone knows the rules of the house & the anger towards Jenny was justified. Kaveri says she's worried about Laxmi as her intention was to have the whole family sit & eat together & now she has to stay hungry for two days.

The scene shifts back to Laxmi who is washing the floors of the dining room with a bucket of water & a cloth, she looks tired but carry's on working. Parag enters and tries to apologise for everything that happened, but Laxmi stops him and says it was a mistake & there's no need to apologise for a mistake… Laxmi says that Pooja is done to clean the soul & so cleaning the house is a necessity too, someone would have done it eventually so it's not a punishment. Parag says thanks & turns to find Jenny standing watching him from the hallway, she walks off, he walks off, Laxmi continues cleaning. Mahen is watching her clean from behind the pillar.

Mahen walks up to Suraj and says Laxmi got punished. Punishment was wrong. Suraj walks off with Mahen behind him repeating the same sentences. Suraj says that he tried to talk sense to Dadi but Dadi doesn't listen to anyone but herself & says to Mahen why don't you tell me what to do, Mahen says help Laxmi (👏Love him for that!) Suraj looking distressed sits down and asks how can I help. Mahen says by supporting your wife like a husband should & he's wrong by not doing it. Mahen walks off leaving Suraj thinking.

Scene shifts back to Laxmi cleaning, Minny and her mum are on the balcony laughing saying we have to praise Laxmi today she's cleaning so well… shall we get rid of the servant. Meenaxi says that Kaveri's family has gotten into the habit of putting themselves in the firing line, just then Dadi comes up behind them and they scatter. Dadi watches Laxmi with a smug look on her face. A hand grabs Laxmi's hand and Dadi's expression changes. It's Suraj he takes the brush off Laxmi and starts cleaning. Dadi shouts from the balcony that Suraj you've never worked like this before & now a days men listen to their elders less & wife more and she calls him a Joru ka gulam & walks off. Suraj takes this opportunity to tell Laxmi to leg it 😆… but she says it's a sin & grabs the brush off him. He grabs the bucket of water & starts helping her. Laxmi has a big smile on her face as she looks at him.

The next day Dada is praying & Laxmi comes with breakfast, she asks if anything interesting is written in the newspaper & Dada says 'yep that the news Laxmi hasn't eaten anything has reached the newspaper'. He sees Dadi & gestures to Laxmi to stay quiet. Laxmi gives Dadi breakfast & Dada says that he should also fast like Laxmi as something bad has happened in the house and so he should do something about it as well. Dadi asks Laxmi if she's eaten anything she says 'no' and Dadi tells her to eat something (very clever move by dada😆). Laxmi says but Dadi you told me not to eat & Dadi says I now told you to eat, and you should eat otherwise I will take your words & shove them into your stomach. Laxmi sits to eat & Dadi says to Dada the food you've hidden eat it quickly or else it will get cold & don't think I got scared by your fasting ploy, I have a brain to. Dada says but you didn't just use your brain you used your heart as well.

Scene shifts to Shalini, Meenaxi & Minny talking about sewing clothes. Suraj walks past and Shalini says she's seen him, who is he, Meenaxi says he's my nephew. Shalini says she saw him 8 days ago and many times after that with his wife. Meenaxi looks confused. She says he must love his wife a lot, he's always taking his wife out to restaurants & nice places (And she knows how??…stalker alert 🤣)… Meenaxi still looks confused & says that not possible he doesn't like & then Laxmi comes with tea. Shalini asks who is this. Meenaxi says the one you were praising Suraj's wife. Shalini says I wasn't talking about her I was talking about a different woman the TV actress Ragini. Meenaxi looks shocked & so does Minny. Shalini says he always buys jewellery for her from my shop… so she must be his girlfriend. He keeps one at home & takes the other one out (hate her already instead of looking shocked she seems to find it amusing that her friends nephew is having an extra marital affair 😡) … Meenaxi seems to be plotting as she thinks to herself I need to get this secret of Laxmi's out in the open.

Precap: The family all barge into Suraj & Laxmi's bedroom shouting 'surprise' both Suraj & Laxmi are sleeping on the floor, they quickly get up, & the family look surprised. … (Who does that??... barges into a married couples room 😕… what if they were sharing some *cough cough* quality time together😃… that would be an seriously Awkward moment 😆)
