It feels like a love marriage'
Back after a short (but blissful) honeymoon in Goa, the newly wed Jay Soni tells us things couldn't be more perfect.
"We had a mini-vacation/honeymoon in Goa, and being so close to the beach made it perfect!" Jay says. "Our official honeymoon will be around April, the destination, however, isn't planned yet."
Ask him about his wife Pooja, with whom he had an arranged match, and Jay says, "Pooja and I are very comfortable and happy with each other. Our love is pure. The courtship was exciting and it felt like a love marriage! Yes, it was an arranged alliance, but I fell in love with her."
Jay was considered among TV's eligible leading men, but he always knew that marriage was n important step that he would take at the right time. "I wanted to settle down and do everything in its own time," Jay explains. "Marriage made me feel complete. I recommend marriage to everyone. It's very important to have stability in one's professional and personal life. Marriage mellows down a person."
Ask him how his female fans have responded to news of his marriage and Jay says with a laugh, "Well, half of them sent messages saying how happy they were, and the other half asked me not to get married."
Jay's mother, Kiran Soni, of course,is happiest now that her son has settled down. "My mom played shaadi ke songs every day till the wedding," Jay laughingly informs us.
Jay and Pooja had a haldi and sangeet on February 16 and tied the knot on the 18th. All of his friends from his two popular TV shows " Sasural Genda Phool and Sanskar Dharohar Apno Ki " attended Jay's wedding (at which he wore a white nawabi suit).
Ask Jay about who he thinks the most ideal couple he's ever come across is, and he replies, "I think every couple has their own charm and happiness. But, overall, I've always looked up to my parents as the ideal."
