Hey everyone..chapter 1 is up..

Haven't proof read..

CHAPTER 1

She stood in the balcony of her room looking at the stars in the sky.

"Hey mom, dad. How are you both?"

She remembered how her mother used to tell her when she was a child that once people died they use to become stars. She never believed in all this. But the day her parents had died she had gone to the terrace and tried it. And she actually felt better. It was like as if she could express and share her feelings with them like this.

"Everything is so new here maa. I miss you people so much. Its been only 4 days since you both left me and I left India, but it all seems such a distant past now. Why did you have to leave me?"

KNOCK KNOCK

Hearing the knock on her bedroom door she wiped away the tears from her face and went to open it.

"Oh.Hiee Randhir. Come inside."

"Hey."

He stepped inside the room and followed her to her bed.

"Sit."She spoke softly.

"Yeh. Thanks."

The next few moments were spent in silence with both of them not knowing what to say.

"So how have you been? " he asked casually trying to bring down the awkwardness around them.

"I am good. Thanks." She replied back formally.

"Nice. Umm actually I wanted to inform you that college starts in 3 days. I have got all the forms and everything for you. Just fill it up and in case of any query regarding anything you can ask me anytime.",saying so he handed her an envelope.

"Oh yes college. Thanks a lot for all this. " she said as she took out the papers from the envelope and started going through them.

While looking at them she glanced up to see Randhir looking at her with a slight smile on his face.

"What happened Randhir? Why are you smiling?"

"Umm..nothing." he answered as if getting out of a thought he was having.

"umm..no tell me." She insisted.

"Actually I was trying to count the number of times you have told me Thanks. But if you keep going at this rate I think I will lose count soon." He spoke.

They both looked at each other and together burst in a little laugh.

"Haha..i mean really you have said me thanks for the smallest of the smallest things. Gosh I wouldn't even care for such manners." He spoke laughing in between and Sanyukta couldn't help but laugh back.

Randhir looked at the girl sitting in front of him, even with all the traces of tears on her cheeks and the dark circles under her eyes , the smile that played on her lips made her look beautiful.

"Yeah..i ts just that.." Sanyukta tried to speak when she was stopped feeling Randhir's one hand shift from his lap onto her shoulder.

"Keep smiling Sanyukta. It suits you."

Taking a deep breath he looked in her eyes again as he spoke, "I know what has happened with you is terrible. I cant even imagine what you must be going through. But you need to move on. Life moves on Sanyukta. Your parents will be happy there if you are happy here." He spoke pointing towards the sky.

"Umm so ok..i think I should leave. Give me the forms once you are done with them." Randhir spoke finally breaking their eye contact.

Saying so he got up and went out of the room.

Sanyukta watched as he shut the door and then stood up and went to stand in front of the dressing table. Looking at her reflection she was surprised.

She was smiling. The 5 minute talk had somewhere actually made her smile and laugh. She hadn't done it since a week. But now she was.

Short..isnt it..😳
