"Sanyukta dear come down for dinner."

Sanyukta arrived at the dining table to find Mrs Shekhawat and Randhir already seated.

"Sorry. I got late." She apologized.

"Oh no dear that's fine. Come sit." Mrs Shekhawat spoke warmly.

As they started dinner Mrs Shekhawat told Sanyukta that all the college formalities had been fulfilled.

"Everything else is done. And we shall be getting your uniform tomorrow. " she informed her.

" Don't worry dear. The uniform has to be worn only on one day. All the other days you get to wear your casual." She continued.

Sanyukta laughed politely but in reality what she would be wearing was the last thing on her mind right now. Here she was at a new place, with all new people around her , she was to go to a new college in a foreign place with no friends. Umm.maybe she could count Randhir as one. Or maybe not. After the interaction in her room she hardly saw him forget talking.

"have some more. You are having so less." Mrs Shekhawat served her more rice.

"Thank you." Sanyukta spoke.

At this Randhir who had been silent the entire time chuckled. Sanyukta raised her eyebrows but then it dawned to her and she couldn't help but suppress a smile.

"What happened? Some joke I am missing?" Mrs Shekhawat asked.

"Oh no aunty. Its nothing." Sanyukta smiled.

Mrs Shekhawat got back to her meal. "Looks like they are getting on well." She smiled.

"All right so we are done with all the shopping. Now lets have something before we head home. "

"Lets go to Burger King. Its nearby." Randhir suggested.

TRING TRING

"Hello. Yes . ok.ok sure I will be right there." Mrs Shekhawat hung up the call.

"Sorry kids. Some work has come up. You guys carry on. Give me a call when you reach home. Stay safe. Randhir take care of Sanyukta . She is still not familiar with the neighborhood." Saying so she left.

"Okay so lets go. " Randhir started walking with Sanyukta behind him.

They walked along the pavement. Sanyukta looked around. It was all so new and beautiful. The big glass window shops, the gardens in between.

CLAP CLAP CLAP CLAP

The sound of clapping and music made Sanyukta stop. She tried to locate the source and walked over there. A martial arts specialist was performing on the road and had a crowd surrounding him. Sanyukta was awestruck with his moves.

"This is wonderful. Randhir. Randhir? Randhir??"

SHIT

She looked around but there was no sign of him.

"I dint even get my cell. What am I going to do." She started running around frantically.

"Randhir! Randhir!" she called out his name out loud. People around gave her stares but that was hardly the matter now.

"Mom. Dad.help me out. " tears rolled down her face.

"Calm down Sanyukta. Lets just calm down. Think about the best possible way out now. Yes. We were going to Burger King. Maybe he is there. I just need to get the directions and I will be there. yes. Lets do it. Ask someone."

She looked around and approached a flower shop.

"Excuse me. Anyone here?"

"Yes dear. How can I help you? an old woman with a smiling face approached her.

"Umm. Actually could you tell me the way to Burger King? I am not very familiar with this side of the neighbourhood."

"Sure dear."

10 minutes later Sanyukta found herself standing in front of Burger King.

"But where is Randhir?" maybe he was looking around for her and she hoped he would come here too.

"I will wait for some time otherwise I shall have to think up of another plan. " she decided.

Deep in her thoughts she turned around and bumped into someone.

"What the..shit!!!!

You just ruined my new sweater. You bitch!!!"

Sanyukta who had hit the ground due to the impact of the bump raised her face up to see a girl all dressed up in rich clothes glaring at her. The strawberry shake in her hand was half empty as it was spread all across her sweater.

Getting up Sanyukta spoke " Look I am sorry. It was my mistake. I admit that. But don't call me a bitch."

"Yeah right. First you ruin my stuff and then tell me how to behave. You wouldn't know the worth of this sweater." The girl spoke looking at Sanyukta disapprovingly from top to bottom.

"Oh come on! How much could a sweated cost? "

"I will pay you up. " Sanyukta spoke.

"Really. How? By selling of all you got." The girl mocked her.

"I don't think she will have to sell anything. " a voice came from behind the girl and they looked over to see Randhir standing there.

"Randhir." Sanyukta felt so relieved seeing him. He had found her.

"Are you..you.. Randhir Shekhawat?" the girl stammered .

Sanyukta couldn't help but notice the way the girl features change. She looked almost awed.

"Yes. So how much is this cheap cloth for? "

"What cheap? No. I mean...its all right. It was just a mistake." The girl spoke battling her eyelashes.

"You sure? All right then. " turning towards Sanyukta ,"Lets go. I am hungry."

Saying so he caught her wrist and started pulling her towards the eatery entrance ,leaving the girl fuming behind.

Sanyukta looked at where they made contact and couldn't help but feel safe. She could feel that he was angry but right now but she couldn't care less. She was happy cause she was safe.
