Chapter 8

"Randhir...I needed to tell you something.." Said Jiggy...as both worked on a presentation ...

"Yep...whats it Jiggy..."

"You won't believe who came to see me today ..."

"Break the suspense and tell me...who was it..." Randhir said a bit impatiently

"Vidushi..." Said Jiggy

"What?? Vidushi??...how? is Parth also here?.."asked Randhir curiously

"Well...umm..Vidushi has come here for some office work and on an extended holiday...and err...Parth... I don't know...she told they had broken up.." Jiggy said

"Oh.." said Randhir feeling shocked...he became quiet unsure of what to say...

Jiggy was about to say something when he saw Kaustuki was calling him on his mobile...he excused himself and went outside the cabin to talk...he cut the phone feeling pleased...everything was going according to plan...he just hoped it works out...

He went back inside Randhir's cabin, with a wide smile on his face... "you wont believe what I just heard..." he said

"What??" asked Randhir, looking surprised...

"Kaustuki just told me...that even Parth is in town and so is Sahil...finally our whole gang is together again..." Jiggy said excitedly... "and I have a plan..lets all gather and have a small party...i mean , it has been years since we had all been together in same place...we need to celebrate...and Vardhan sir is also there..." Jiggy continued in one breath

"No.." Said Randhir shortly..

"But why Randhir? ...don't you want to meet Yoyo, Sahil,Vidushi and Parth again...?...they are your friends...Randhir, I get it ,you are depressed and hurt...but if you keep yourself in this shell, you can never move on...believe me ,meeting them will relax you...will make you feel happy again"

"I don't want to move on Jiggy...I will never be able to move on'..." Randhir said curtly..

"But Randhir...you cannot live like this...you will have to move on sometime..." Jiggy said trying to reason...

"Then I don't want to live..." Randhir said angrily

"Shut up! Randhir...don't behave like an idiot" Jiggy said feeling annoyed..."you need to try ... It will hurt a lot at first...but time heals everything..."

"Time heals nothing...it just numbs the pain Jiggy...you have no idea what I am going through...come what may...neither can I ever forget Sanyukta...nor can I ever forget the times I spent with her...or why I hate her so much..." Randhir blurted out...he felt those hated tears pricking his eyes once more...he did not want to cry infront of Jiggy...he did not want to show his weaker side to Jiggy or anyone...

Jiggy kept quiet...he wanted Randhir to take out all his pent up feelings...may be that would make him feel a bit lighter ...

"But I love her Jiggy...I still do...and ...I don't want to forget her" Randhir said softly, and this time he could not stop his tears from falling...

Jiggy, put a comforting hand on his shoulder ...and said in a quiet voice... "I can understand Randhir...but trust me...this gathering might just be what you need right now...i promise ...you will not complain.."

"Will she be there?..." Randhir asked looking up at Jiggy...

"Not if you don't want her to..." Jiggy smiled...

"No...it will not be right...you invite her too..." Randhir said shaking his head...

"Sure...I will..." Jiggy replied smiling at him...

"Jiggy..where the hell have you been...everyone will arrive in a few minutes..." yelled Kaustuki...as she rushed about arranging the living room...

"Kaustu...you only sent me to buy all these snacks...and now you are blaming me.." Jiggy replied sounding exasperated..

"Ok..fine...whatever...Sanyukta is arriving in 2 mins...she had called..." Kaustuki said...

"Do you think the plan will work?..." Jiggy suddenly asked

"I hope so Jiggy..." Kaustuki replied sighing...

The door bell rang and Kaustuki ran to open it...she saw Vardhan sir was standing

"Welcome Sir, please come in...the others will arrive in a few moments.." Kaustuki said...

"Nice house Kaustuki...you stay alone here?" Vardhan asked as he sat comfortably on the sofa...

"Yes sir ...but sometimes Sanyukta comes over...she lives just two blocks away from here..." smiled Kaustuki

"I am happy that you all are doing so well in your life..." Vardhan said smiling...

"Look here comes Yoyo and Parth..." Jiggy said...as he showed them in.. "and..err..Vidushi..is here too.."

Parth glanced at Vidushi, as Jiggy ushered them in... Vidushi gave a small smile at him, and said "Hi"...not quite looking into his eyes...

Parth nodded curtly and replied "Hi"...and walked off quickly in the other direction...Sanyukta who had just arrived and was about to go and greet Parth, saw Vidushi, standing there alone, as Parth walked off...she saw Vidushi having a sad look on her face...Sanyukta went to her and said... "Hey Vids, long time..how are you?"

"How do I look? Absolutely Fine..." Vidushi replied bitterly...

"I heard about it Vids...its life...sometimes things don't work out as we want them to...trust me all will be well..." Sanyukta replied trying to be comforting

"Yeah...sure...all be well...just like all is well with you..right?" Vidushi said... "I am sorry.." she added hurriedly as she saw Sanyukta's sad face...

"Its alright Vids...I can understand...no need to be sorry...we are all messed up right now..." Sanyukta said sighing...

Within an hour everyone got busy chatting,eating and drinking , catching up with each other...when, Jiggy took Kaustuki to a side ... "Randhir has not yet arrived...I called him so many times..he is not taking the calls...I hope he is alright.." Jiggy said sounding worried...

"What did you just say Jiggy?..what happened to Randhir?" ...Jiggy turned around and saw Sanyukta standing behind him, asking...

"Nothing Sanyu...just wondering where he might be...you know him right?...goes of somewhere without saying...his fluctuating mood..." Jiggy said trying to sound light

"Don't worry Sanyu...he is alright...and will come soon..." Kaustuki said, as she saw a worried look flicker across her friend's face...

"I hope so..." sighed Sanyukta...

Just then the door bell rang...Sanyukta said " I will get it..."

As she opened the door she saw Randhir standing there, looking as handsome as ever, in a deep blue t-shirt and jeans...

Randhir never expected Sanyukta to open the door...he looked a bit taken aback...his breath hitched as he saw her, looking pretty in casuals, a white cotton shirt and jeans...her curls falling around her face, just the way he liked ...feeling awkward he walked inside...and then hurried towards the living room to join the party...

Sanyukta knew he was trying to avoid her, and she did not press it...she followed him to the living room...

"I am sorry guys...I got caught up in some important work in office...so I got late.." Randhir said, he went to take his seat at a nearby couch, as everyone greeted him, ...Sanyukta saw that everyone is sprawling about on the couches and carpet and there was no space to sit, except a single spot...and that was beside Randhir...

She debated whether to go and sit...Randhir suddenly noticed her standing quietly ...he looked around and saw that the only place left was beside him...he glanced at Sanyukta, and their eyes met but once...for a flit second Sanyukta noticed that he gestured her to sit beside him...she sighed and went to sit there...Randhir shifted a little, careful enough not to touch her...so that not even his hands brush against her even by accident...Sanyukta also sat stiffly...she looked awkwardly in another direction, concentrating on a very stupid discussion between Sahil and Yoyo about some street dog...

Randhir looked around and saw Parth and Vardhan Sir discussing about something in low voices...Vidushi was chatting with Kaustuki...he was about to go and join Parth and Vardhan Sir, when Jiggy came and said "hey Randhir, can you come with me?...need some help"

"Yeah, sure..." Randhir said, feeling relieved that he can safely leave Sanyukta's side...it was getting really uncomfortable sitting beside her without talking...

Sanyukta felt a of sort of emptiness gripping her as she saw Randhir walking away...she could not help but remember her last encounter with Randhir...yep it had ended up pretty badly once again...may be she should not have brought up that issue ...it just opens up the old wounds once again...and both gets hurt yet again...

She tried to distract herself by getting engaged into the discussion between Sahil and Yoyo and was soon joined by Kaustuki and Vidushi...she suddenly felt thirsty and excused herself to go and get a drink...

The wind blew from the open balcony of Kaustuki's house...and Sanyukta began to feel relaxed as the cool breeze hit her face, as she stood there drinking water...it might have been the peaceful atmosphere of the night..or the weather, but suddenly she felt her eyes becoming moist...and without warning, memories of her and Randhir began to come rushing inside her mind...she wiped away the tears and turned to go when she saw Vardhan sir standing...

"Sanyukta...are you alright..." he asked looking concerned...

"Yes , sir,I am perfectly fine..." she said... gulping down the water hurriedly...

"I know Sanyukta you are not fine...and its perfectly alright, if you are not...may be things are not going according to what both of you had thought...but that should not stop you from moving forward...life does not stand still...try to move on" Vardhan said, patting her lightly on the shoulder...

"I...I am...trying Sir...believe me...but its hard...I still do love him...and its not easy to let go of someone you love..." she said , her voice quivering...

"Then try to work it out...have a heart to heart...clear the misunderstandings...may be its not the end..." Said Vardhan sir,

"There is nothing left to sort out sir...sometimes things go so far that there is no point in turning back..." Sighed Sanyukta...

"I only wish there can be a way to fix this...I hope so..." said Vardhan... "well..i came to say goodbye...i have to go now...its really late...you people enjoy...I will catch up with you later" , he smiled at Sanyukta..

"Bye Sir...it was really great to see you again..." Sanyukta said smiling at him..

As Vardhan turned to go , he saw Randhir standing there...

"Oh...here you are...well was just saying bye to Sanyukta...I will take leave now..good night..." Vardhan said..

"Good night sir...see you around.." Randhir said smiling at him...

Randhir waited till Vardhan went...he then quietly walked up to stand beside Sanyukta...

Sanyukta was still looking out of the balcony, engrossed in her thoughts...when she felt someone's glance fixed on her...she looked around and saw Randhir looking at her silently...

"How are you?"she asked softly breaking the silence...

"Never been better..." he said sounding bitter...

"I...I am...sorry...I should not have brought up that issue..." Sanyukta said hesitating a bit...

"Well...it should not matter anymore...this issue will keep popping up...we can never really forget that can we? ..." he said sadly..

"I suppose so..." Sanyukta sighed...

"By the way...you are looking really pretty tonight..." Randhir said trying to divert the topic...

"Umm...you too..are looking good..." Sanyukta replied awkwardly...a sudden gust of air blew across her face and her unruly locks of hair tumbled across her face..

Involuntarily Randhir's hands went towards her face... He gently removed those locks of hair from her face...his fingers grazed across her cheeks...he softly caressed her cheeks with his thumb...

Sanyukta was taken aback in surprise... his touch made her go all weak...she closed her eyes, feeling his touch...

Their moment got broken by a loud voice saying, "hey...you two...I have something to say..."

Startled they turned around and saw Sahil gesturing towards them...they quickly stepped back from each other, and feeling a bit embarrassed and hoping they were not caught by Sahil, they went to join the others...As they took their seat ...they made sure that they are not sitting beside each other...

Sahil cleared his throat and said " well everyone...the night is still young...so why waste it...lets play a game..."

"what game?..." Parth asked...

"Let's play truth or dare..."

unres. omg after long time u hv update this ff. it was an awesome update dear. so jiggy n kasautaki is trying to reunite samdhir. they have organized a party in which whole dream team n virdhar sir too comes. sandhir r feeling awkward with each other they r avoiding each other. but deep down in they love each other unconditionally. there is too much mystery still in this ff. what happen in past that both rd n sanyu that they want to seperate eventhough they love each other beyond limit. plz yaar revail dis mystery. now all r playiy truth n dare. I think this ll lead to revail some mystery of sandhir past. do update soon don't take much time dis time. n thanks for d pm.
