Well this is a drabble,infact even smaller...just felt like writing something up,so wrote this one...do..revert how it was...😊
P.S. Its dedicated to my Ex-boss...😳
AEGIS - From The Heart
She was shaken by the sound of head banging on the table as he sneezed for the 15th time...yeah she had counted it,coz she knew him being egoistic,wont let her help him out so easily...
Sitting in the office cabin there was her boss,Randhir Singh Shekhawat,the hott n hunkilicious guy of the office on whom almost every girl in the office had huge crush...
n lucky me,sanyukta agarwal,who shared her cabin with him...yeah ofcourse he was my boss,a professional one indeed...We were on our marketing projects together...N him being my senior(plus boss) had the major load of work...he was mostly annoyed,kinda arrogant,n a bit egoistic too...we did had clashes,but sorted out soon too..but at times he did saved me from getting scolded from our main head of the company!!
Today he was not at all well...but as our project deadline was approaching,he had joined me in the office in such a painful condition too!!!
He sneezed for the 15th Time and his head almost banged the table...my heart skipped a beat watching him in that condition...I offered him the water-bottle that was lying there...but he denied it!!
He was not the kind of guy who would accept something a girl has offered him to eat or drink, out of her sympathy for him...He never even shared biscuits or fruits that we brought in the office,let aside anything else..
As again i saw him about to sneeze,i thought of something and caught hold of my bag...I searched n found some medicines for cold n fever...I waited for him to sneeze,but he didnt...I looked at him,n he stared back at me...he eyes were bloodshot-red...not because he was angry...but actually because he was in this miserable condition due to cold...plus the ever so low temperatured Air-conditioner was worsening his condition...
I silently moved the medicinal tablets' strip that i had kept on my side of table,towards his side,by moving them off by my hands,to him...he just glared them...n then me,...n then nodded a no...
my face frowned...but he was adamant...
He started doing his work on the laptop again...I knew he was unwell,but his arrogance wont let him do the right thing...So what if he was arrogant,i was determined too...Everytime whenever he felt he was about to sneeze,I glared him...he looked back,n the ceased himself from sneezing too...Finally when he couldnt control it,He got up and was about to leave the cabin...
I stood up instantly too...it was unexpected...both of us were a bit suprised by it...I was only a couple of inches away from him...I could feel his warm breath...could hear his fast-paced heart...I looked into his bloodshot eyes that had turned deep-brown by now, took his hand in mine...He was stunned...I could read his face,he was shell-shocked by this act of mine...
In my heart I knew he was my boss,yet I could stop continuing it...I held up his hand n raised it till it almost reached near our face...n then,still looking into his eyes,I placed the medicine strip on his hand...He was amazed...He clasped the medicine,n finally gave a light smile approving his defeat...of not accepting my care for him!!!!
I offered him water,n he dint denied now!!!gulped the medicine...but again he moved his handerchiefed hand towards his face,acting as if he is about to sneez againn..n i gazed at him being concerned once again,but he started laughing...I was puzzled at this behaviour of him...He laughed a bit more ,n then said "Well yeah I m bit unwell,but the latest one of me about to sneeze,was me faking it actually" saying this he winked at me n started laughing again...
I pouted,n said "As If I Care" and instatly looked away(pretending to be angry)...
n with a loving smile on his face,he replied "Yes u do!!"
From the corner of my eyes,I saw him smiling...n filling my heart with that care, I smiled back too!!!
