The colour of shirt he wore, the jeans, the shoes, and the tidiness of his hair...well she liked it messy.
"Try it out. You might enjoy. He's better than that Sameer atleast." A voice in her mind piped cheerfully.
"No way. Can't risk going with your enemy. Who knows what plans he's hatching. It could just be a simple prank." Another voice adviced.
"Well, you two always play pranks on each other. You played one on him, recently. Remember? He fell flat on your foot? So there's no harm facing a prank by him. It will be fun." The cheerful voice chirped.
...
"Let's Go." She said.
"Where?" he asked, pretending not to know.
"Don't pretend. You know it." She replied.
"You are actually agreeing to go on a date with me? Aah. Guess you couldn't miss the chance, huh? Good girl. Finally proved yourself to be intelligent, by not missing a change to go out with me. But what about your dear fianc?" he asked, chuckling.
"Shutup. I am going with you because I want to get rid of him. My fiance? You're the one who asked me out. You think of how to cancel my date with Sameer." She said, firmly.
"Well. I knew you weren't so intelligent after all. That's okay. I will figure out a way...with my Rank No.1 brain. You better get dressed well. Just because I am giving a bimbo like you, a chance to go on a date with me, I don't want to be seen with a typical saas-bahu-and-homescience girl. So please dress decently enough to be seen with me, the Rank No.1 hottie." he smirked.
"Oh hello. You're the lucky one here. I'm wasting my first date...with a jerk like you." She said proudly.
"First date? Wow. And you're wasting it with your enemy? Oh god. I pity you." He said, cackling with laughter.
"Whats there to laugh about? Besides, you're not my enemy. We are not each other's enemies for tomorrow, remember?" she said.
"Yeah okay fine. Bye. Meet me tomorrow outside the hostel, at 6 pm." He literally ordered.
"6 pm? We are going in the evening?" she sounded shocked.
"Yeah why? You want me to bunk my lectures to go out for a lunch date? With you? No chance Farzi." He smirked again.
...
"You proved yourself to be a heart stealer today Randhir." She said as they walked into the Dhaba.
..
"We are on a date. This is your first one. Let's make it the way it should be. The best." He'd said.
She felt his gaze over her as she stuffed a spoonful of raita, into her mouth.
"What?" she asked, when he did not avert his gaze even after five minutes had passed.
In response, he just lifted his hand up and dragged it across her pleated hair, bring it to the front.
His fingertips brushed across her neck lightly.
He pulled off the rubber band holding her pleats together.
She stared into his eyes questioningly.
She placed her hand above his, to prevent him from pulling off the rubber band completely.
He stared into his eyes, before removing her hand from above his and pulling off the rubber band completely.
He then ran his hands through her pleats, ever so slowly, untying them.
Her hair now lay unpleated.
Unpleated and open.
Dragged across one side of her neck.
Leaving her back exposed.
He noticed.
He noticed the low cut back of her suit. And the loose dori.
He also noticed the various cheap creatures in the corner of the dhaba, eyeing her.
He pulled her hair back, splaying it across her back.
His hand brushed across her neck again, sending electricity waves throughout her body.
She closed her eyes, arching her back unintentionally.
He pulled his hands back.
She missed his touch instantly.
She opened her eyes gently, to see him staring at her.
She blushed.
So did he.
And furiously too.
...
"Good Night." He said having dropped her off at the Girls Hostel safely.
"Randhir wait." She said as he turned to go.
"It was fun having dinner with you today. Umm...Thank you...for such a lovely evening." She said, hesitating a little.
"No problem Farzi. And same here. Today you were tolerable." He joked.
She punched him lightly on the arm.
"Okay Okay. I enjoyed your company ma'am. Can I have the pleasureof going out with you again sometime?" Randhir asked, smiling genuinely.
His smile. She really loved it. Although it was rare.
"Well yes you may. But are you sure you, the Rank No.1, won't mind being seen with a Farzi, once again?" she joked.
"No ma'am. Cause if you continue going out with me, you won't remain a Farzi anymore!" he laughed.
"Arghh. Randhir!" she pouted.
"What? Sach humesha kadva hota hai Aggarwal!" he said winking, and walking away.
"Randhir." She called out again.
"Ab kya hai?" he said, turning to face her.
"Are we to forget again...that we are enemies?" she asked.
"No. We aren't to forget it. We are still enemies." He replied.
She kept mum. She looked disappointed.
"But we are dating enemies now." He added.
She looked up and stared into his eyes.
A toothy smile spread across her lips.
A goofy grin spread across his lips as he waved Bye to her and walked away.
