He had infact.
And he'd even appreciated her effort.
Oh no, definitely not.
He wouldn't come and praise her directly, ofcourse. He isn't Parth after all.
He has his own style...a unique one.
His eyes. His eyes told her that he was happy for her.
Well...not particularly for her. But he did appreciate her victorious efforts to prevent the resolving of the Dream Team.
God. He drove her crazy. Always.
One moment he'd be arrogant and chauvinistic. And the next, he'd go all jealous and hurt.
Especially when she was with Parth.
Maybe he thought she didn't notice it.
But how could she NOT notice it? Just like he noted every detail about her, she had gotten used to noticing every detail about him as well.
The colour of shirt he wore, the jeans, the shoes, and the tidiness of his hair...well she liked it messy.
Anyway. Noticing details didn't mean critically looking at his appearance.
It meant, noticing his behavior. His actions...they spoke masses sometimes.
But not greater than what his eyes spoke. They always spoke volumes...greater than his actions.
Tring Tring Tring.
Pulled out of her thoughts, Sanyukta quickly fished the phone out of her bag.
Sameer Calling it read.
Talking to her 'Beloved' fiance was the last thing she wanted to do right now.
She heaved a frustrated sigh and clicked the green button.
"Hi Sameer." She spoke bitterly.

"Chalo theek hai. Mai bhool jaata hu ki tum meri dushman ho. Aur tum bhi yeh bhool jaao. Let's go on a date."
She was still in shock.
Randhir Singh Shekhawat. Her worst enemy. Had just asked her out. On a date.
She shook her head vigorously.
"Sameer ko chodo. Randhir Singh Shekhawat ke saath date pe jaane ka mauka roz roz nahi milta."
She was really going crazy.
"Try it out. You might enjoy. He's better than that Sameer atleast." A voice in her mind piped cheerfully.
"No way. Can't risk going with your enemy. Who knows what plans he's hatching. It could just be a simple prank." Another voice adviced.
"Well, you two always play pranks on each other. You played one on him, recently. Remember? He fell flat on your foot? So there's no harm facing a prank by him. It will be fun." The cheerful voice chirped.
She shook her head harder.
Her mind was actually considering the possibility of going for a date with Randhir?
What more, it was encouraging her to say YES!
"Yeh koi mazaak nahi hai Dekho Randhir mai tumhe warn kar rahi hu. Varna mere saath panga lene ke baad tumhaari kya haalat hoti hai, pata hai naa?" She said, walking away with a rattled brain.
--------x--------x--------x----------
You can do this Sanyukta.
You can do it.
She kept uttering these words in her mind, looking at the phone in her hand.
Pacing around the room, she finally sighed and dialed his number.
---------x---------x---------x---------
"Let's Go." She said.
"Where?" he asked, pretending not to know.
"Don't pretend. You know it." She replied.
"You are actually agreeing to go on a date with me? Aah. Guess you couldn't miss the chance, huh? Good girl. Finally proved yourself to be intelligent, by not missing a change to go out with me. But what about your dear fianc?" he asked, chuckling.
"Shutup. I am going with you because I want to get rid of him. My fiance? You're the one who asked me out. You think of how to cancel my date with Sameer." She said, firmly.
"Well. I knew you weren't so intelligent after all. That's okay. I will figure out a way...with my Rank No.1 brain. You better get dressed well. Just because I am giving a bimbo like you, a chance to go on a date with me, I don't want to be seen with a typical saas-bahu-and-homescience girl. So please dress decently enough to be seen with me, the Rank No.1 hottie." he smirked.
"Oh hello. You're the lucky one here. I'm wasting my first date...with a jerk like you." She said proudly.
"First date? Wow. And you're wasting it with your enemy? Oh god. I pity you." He said, cackling with laughter.
"Whats there to laugh about? Besides, you're not my enemy. We are not each other's enemies for tomorrow, remember?" she said.
"Yeah okay fine. Bye. Meet me tomorrow outside the hostel, at 6 pm." He literally ordered.
"6 pm? We are going in the evening?" she sounded shocked.
"Yeah why? You want me to bunk my lectures to go out for a lunch date? With you? No chance Farzi." He smirked again.
"Yeah Fine Whatever. I don't wanna bunk classes to go out with you, either. Bye." She said, disconnecting the call.
------x----------x-----------x-------
Having disconnected the call, she walked over to her wardrobe.
As she rummaged through the clothes, she remembered something.
She remembered the time when she'd dressed up in suits, wearing anklets and fancy earrings.
She'd noted, even then, that he had always sneaked glances at her.
He had seemed to be admiring her...and that had definitely shocked the hell out of her.
"You look beautiful in them." A voice very close to her, spoke.
His breath lingered over her neck.
She turned around to see...nobody.
She shook her head and turned back to the wardrobe, now going through the suits hanging from the hangers.
"Dress in white. It suits you." The husky voice she'd heard earlier, said.
His voice...so near to her ear, sent shivers down her spine.
She turned around again. And saw nobody. Except ofcourse, a sleeping Vidushi. Kaustaki was busy talking to Jiggy in the washroom...her coochi-coo voice could be heard.
She slapped herself mentally for imagining Randhir's presence, and rummaged through all her suits all over again.
She came across a white one.
Something told her she should wear that one
------x---------x--------x-------
6:05 his watch read.
"She's always late." He thought.
"Sorry?" she said, reading his mind.
He looked up to see her, standing right before him.
Well the waiting had been worth.
She was sporting a white anarkali suit. The dupatta was chiffon. And it suited her. Red little flowery designs, adorned her anarkali. She'd tied her hair in a loose pleat. Dangling white earrings hung from her ears. Her neck lay bare, allowing a good view of her milky skin.
"You look gorgeous." He said in a daze.
Her mouth dropped wide open.
"I mean. You look decent enough. Atleast you followed my order. You are late though." He said, rectifying his slip of tongue.
She'd noticed the light shade of red that had crept up his cheeks.
She couldn't help but smile.
"But I am just 5 minutes late. Anyway lets go." She said, following him out of the college gates.
-----x--------x--------x------
"You aren't thinking of going on this bike are you?" she asked, surprised.
"Ofcourse. How else are we going to go? In a Maruti Suzuki 800?" he grinned.
"Not exactly. A Safari maybe." She said, trying to smirk but failing miserably.
"Well you aren't worth that. Besides. I thought you'd like a bike ride. Aren't you always bold and adventurous. And don't you say girls can do everything boys can? Well then come along and hop onto the bike." He spoke, hopping onto the bike himself.
She reluctantly took her seat behind him.
He started the bike, placing his helmet onto his head, and handing out another one to her.
------x---------x----------x-------
A sharp break told her that riding a bike was pretty dangerous.
She lifted her hands and placed them on his shoulder, clutching onto it tightly.
His proud smirk was visible in the bike's mirror.
So were his ogling eyes, she noted.
He kept staring at her face...in the mirror.
And their eyes met.
---------x-------x------x---------
"You proved yourself to be a heart stealer today Randhir." She said as they walked into the Dhaba.
He simply smirked, saying "That I am."
He'd brought her to a Dhaba.
To the same Dhaba that she'd come to, looking for Randhir, several months ago.
The Dhaba was a special place for her. And looked like it was the same for Randhir.
They'd had their share of memories here.
They sat on one of the tables, facing one another.
That was, before Randhir got up and came to her side, taking his seat beside her.
Now they sat side by side.
"We are on a date. This is your first one. Let's make it the way it should be. The best." He'd said.
-------x--------x--------x--------
She felt his gaze over her as she stuffed a spoonful of raita, into her mouth.
"What?" she asked, when he did not avert his gaze even after five minutes had passed.
In response, he just lifted his hand up and dragged it across her pleated hair, bring it to the front.
His fingertips brushed across her neck lightly.
He pulled off the rubber band holding her pleats together.
She stared into his eyes questioningly.
She placed her hand above his, to prevent him from pulling off the rubber band completely.
He stared into his eyes, before removing her hand from above his and pulling off the rubber band completely.
He then ran his hands through her pleats, ever so slowly, untying them.
Her hair now lay unpleated.
Unpleated and open.
Dragged across one side of her neck.
Leaving her back exposed.
He noticed.
He noticed the low cut back of her suit. And the loose dori.
He also noticed the various cheap creatures in the corner of the dhaba, eyeing her.
He pulled her hair back, splaying it across her back.
His hand brushed across her neck again, sending electricity waves throughout her body.
She closed her eyes, arching her back unintentionally.
He pulled his hands back.
She missed his touch instantly.
She opened her eyes gently, to see him staring at her.
She blushed.
So did he.
And furiously too.
------x--------x-------x-------
"Good Night." He said having dropped her off at the Girls Hostel safely.
"Randhir wait." She said as he turned to go.
"It was fun having dinner with you today. Umm...Thank you...for such a lovely evening." She said, hesitating a little.
"No problem Farzi. And same here. Today you were tolerable." He joked.
She punched him lightly on the arm.
"Okay Okay. I enjoyed your company ma'am. Can I have the pleasure of going out with you again sometime?" Randhir asked, smiling genuinely.
His smile. She really loved it. Although it was rare.
"Well yes you may. But are you sure you, the Rank No.1, won't mind being seen with a Farzi, once again?" she joked.
"No ma'am. Cause if you continue going out with me, you won't remain a Farzi anymore!" he laughed.
"Arghh. Randhir!" she pouted.
"What? Sach humesha kadva hota hai Aggarwal!" he said winking, and walking away.
"Randhir." She called out again.
"Ab kya hai?" he said, turning to face her.
"Are we to forget again...that we are enemies?" she asked.
"No. We aren't to forget it. We are still enemies." He replied.
She kept mum. She looked disappointed.
"But we are dating enemies now." He added.
She looked up and stared into his eyes.
A toothy smile spread across her lips.
A goofy grin spread across his lips as he waved Bye to her and walked away.
We are dating enemies now.
The words rang in her ears repeatedly.
She sighed and shaking her head, went up back to her room, to slip off into a dreamy sleep.

I can never write drabbles.
*Sigh*
I was supposed to write a short drabble.
What I wrote instead, turned out to be a 8 pages in Ms Word, long OS.
