A possible explanation

Well I cannot and will not accept a tainted Rajeev. So this is what I think must have happened though it is quite far fetched. Rajeev must have been involved in some accident in which he was rendered handicapped (although we do not get to see him limp these days. Maybe Suman's love has cured him!)

In this accident Zenab's husband may have got killed. She may have been pregnant then. Now either of two things could have happened. Zenab knows who Rajeev is and Rajeev would have volunteered to help her by acting as her husband so they can raise little Ruhi together. But this does not explain why Rajeev has not revealed his marriage to Suman and lies to Zenab that he has to be away on business. It also does not explain why she keeps calling him Parvez and takes him for Muslim prayers.

So this is what I think would have happened. Zenab may have been with her husband when the accident took place. While Parvez may have been killed in this accident, she may have lost her memory of how he looks like and believes that Rajeev is Parvez (or Parvez may have looked exactly like Rajeev). Since Rajeev feels guilty about the accident he may be playing along with this. He may have also discovered that she may not live long so he must have thought that he will take care of Ruhi when she is gone. For that Ruhi should accept him as her father. So he is acting like Parvez. This will explain why Zenab wishes that he will spend more time with them because she believes him to be Parvez.

Now Rajeev cannot tell the truth to Suman since he is not sure she can accept the fact that he is acting like someone else's husband. So he is covering up with his lies.

hi, i think that is a really good explanation. i mean, memory loss stories are so common in these serials that it could actually be true that she forgot what her husband looked like and maybe thought rajeev is her husband. But i don't like the way he is lieing to suman about everything..i mean seeing as she was so keen to tell rajeev her past. i also think that rajeev has become so used to living with the muslim family which is why he acts like the father so well. but anyway, i hope it all turns out good for suman :)

Little change, how it will be if it is like this,
In U r accident story--- original Parvez and Rajeev are friends. When they are traveling together they both meet with an accident. In a very injured condition they where taken to hospital in which parvez was killed and Rajeev was give with parvez face in part the treatment by mistake. In the same time zenab is pregnant so in order to save friends wife and child he is acting as such from past 6 years.
How is it if any one liked my thought please reply?

May be their family also about the accident, and plastic surgery and they are not aware of this Muslim family. Here even Rajeev is trying to solve the problem by him self.
