SaharaOne can now boast of not one but two newcomers in their kitty. After Ami Trivedi's debut as the journalist Kituu in Kituu Sabb Jaantii Hai, it is now Neha Marde's turn in new show, Saath Rahega Always. Studies important
Marde, a Marwari, was raised in Kolkata. Along with shooting for the show, where she plays a bubbly teenager, Peehu, Neha is also appearing for her class 12 exams. "I have been shooting non-stop, but whenever I get a break, I sit with my books and study. My parents have told me it is important for me to complete my graduation before I take up acting seriously."
Refusing to divulge details about her show, Neha says, "I am not allowed to talk about it, but I can tell you it isn't just another youth show. I am playing the protagonist and my character is a girl who's confident and knows what she wants from life." I'm not Jassi
Apart from Saath Rahega Always, Neha will also be seen as one of the finalists in Star Plus's dance show, Kaboom. "I love dancing, and it was great fun taking part in that show. I haven't had any formal training in acting, and this show will mark my debut. I was called for an audition and they liked my look and performance. I don't want people to compare Peehu with Jassi, or any other character they have seen before. I want to create my individual identity, so others can follow the trends I set."
Produced by Behind the Scenes, Saath Rahega Always will debut end of this month.
