Nina why would you even compare Amar with Nazim?
Not trying to be mean but Amar is better in terms of experience and acting ability both.
In short time, he's already made a place in Saathiya fans like me so imagine after he's been on the show the same time as Nazim 😳

No there are fans of Ahem which makes sense since he's been the main lead from the beginning but most members only appear when there are polls or topics like this ;)
You should have made the topic Ahem vs Dharam, this would've made more sense then.
But acting wise, I find it strange to even compare Nazim and Amar, they're on very different levels tbh

I would like to vote for Nazim (aham)
Few years back I shipped him with Gia, and I really wished that both should date in real life, but later I came to know that he was in a committed Relationship.

Oh well

But, I really don't like him now. It's been so many years, he could have left the show at one point of time. Not like he has some important character to play like koki or Gopi. He could have signed some other show with more screen and equally important character or take part in few reality shows or episodic serial. Versatility is equally important.

He is an average actor. He used give arrogant look when this show started, it's been 6 years and he has been giving same arrogant look. There is no development, and there can't be any developments, this show has no scope for male actors. For growth, improvement and development as a actor, you need to go places and attempt so many things and deliver the performance. On the other side Devoleena has improved a lot, I remember when she replaced Gia, lot of pressure was there. In beginning she looked so bland and blank. No expressions, no emotions, dialogue delivery was pathetic, no confidence, used to speak lines like reading a chapter of text book. But, she improved because she got a chance to improve, most of the tracks revolved around, she was centre of the episodes and still everything is about her and koki.

Coming to Amar

He is an experienced actors and attempted so many things , but who said that experience is equal to good acting? Katrina has completed 10 years in industry, but she is the same wooden kat, can't emote and can't actually act to save her life.

Same I feel about Amar. I saw him in kyuki when kyuki was repeated on star utsav, he is an average actor, after few years he appeared in kasauti, and then in big boss house. Thats it i know about him. He might have done so many things, but he failed to make it big or noticeable. That's the biggest loss.

Achievement of an actor is not just keep doing things, he/she has to deliver the performance, nail it and walk away with praises.

He left kyuki becoz he didn't want to play an old man character, but ghum phir ke he is back to play the role of an old man. Even today he is know as 'Mihir Virani'. He might have refused to play older character because he was young at that time, but that's what we call acting. Didn't 28 years Anupam Kher nailed the character of an old man in saaransh? That's what we call acting. Sometimes you have to act much elder than your age like Kher and sometimes too younger than your age like Aamir in 3 idiots or SRK in fan, but take it as a challenge if you trust your acting ability.

On the other side Ronit Roy who accepted the role left by Amar ended up becoming highest paid actor of television. His roles were not possible to ignore, his versatility was visible, he nailed all characters which he played. Supporting character Mr. Bajaj who overshadowed leads, accepting the challenge of replacing Amar as Mihir Virani and he did it, completely grey character in Kasamh se, The great lawyer K D Pathak and then big jump in critically acclaimed movie udaan and then sharing equal screen space with superstar Akshay Kumar in boss. He proved himself and Amar failed.

I find Amar and Nazim equal as actors, Nazim never tried to do anything except Aham and Amar tried but failed to make it memorable or noticeable.

But voted for Nazim coz I shipped for GiNa at one point of time.

Coming to Amar

Katrina kaif is another story altogether 😆 Don't even get me started. But even using her as an example, you can see how much experience can do. She is much better at her dialogue delivery than before to be very honest. Not saying she's the best now but she has improved for herself.
Experience always teaches you new things and helps you improve your talent imo.

In kyunki he was extremely popular because he made a place in peoples heart, many people still remember him as Mihir because it was such a great character and he portrayed it well. @Bold I've seen both shows and the way Amar has payed Mihir as the good boy and now Dharam as the aggressive and stern man. The fact people resented him at the beginning in saathiya (some still do), shows he is doing his job well. He's shown he's good at playing versatile roles which is what my point is. I personally don't think an average actor can't do that successfully.

As for the age thing, that was his personal choice not to play a role of an old man. This isn't a movie which will finish soon, it's a daily soap which goes on forever and if you're heart isn't into it then there's no point doing that job. Right now, he can play a dad because he's a dad in real life also. @Bold Though I agree with that point. The only problem I have with people playing older characters in shows, is that it looks unrealistic. At least in movies they make it look sensible where the supposed mother doesn't look like her daughters younger sister.

Amar failed? Really, that's unfair since he's still regarded as one of television's iconic faces. Even I could say ronit Roy failed since he didn't make it big in bw. But that's luck na. Anyways, I don't mind comparing Ronit with Amar as they're both very good actors. But with Nazim, I personally felt surprised. Even Devoleena would have been fine cus although I hate her character, I can't deny she is good at her job.

I find Amar and Nazim equal as actors, Nazim never tried to do anything except Aham and Amar tried but failed to make it memorable or noticeable.

Sorry but that's the biggest joke for me. Amar has proved he's good at whatever roles he gets whereas, Nazim is still where he was seven six years ago. Even Rupali has played the same old character for so long but I would call her a great actor because she just delivers her scenes naturally. Don't feel the same with Nazim tbh

If you think not making it big in bw is an example of bad acting then that's a bit weird. Katrina has made it big but she's not a great actor according to many.

But voted for Nazim coz I shipped for GiNa at one point of time.

This isn't what the poll was asking but that's my point.

@Blue is mine ;)
