Aaannnddd today's episode begins with Vidya hugging the goat and crying that she will not sacrifice it. Gaura forces her to do so but she refuses. Gaura then tells Shravan that if anything bad happens in the family it will be the fault of his wife. She also tells him to take Vidya away.
Kokila stands on her soapbox and like a fishwife extols the virtues of her grand daughters. Gaura then asks Meera to do the deed. Meera is hesitant but due to Kokila's high end lecture she agrees to do it, saying that she no longer has any love for human or animal.
The servants form a barrier between Modi's. Meera raises the sword but cannot carry through. She drops the sword and cries, apologising to Gaura. Kokila again starts on her sanskaars and Gaura shoots her down. She decides that she will have to carry out the sacrifice. Modi's pray to the idols.
Gaura brings down the sword. Kokila opens her eyes, sees blood on the floor and expects to see the headless goat. The headless goat is there in the shape of Gopi who has grabbed the sword and we watch blood dripping to the floor. Modi's are shocked by this.
Vidya and Kokila step forward. Kokila pushes the sword aside and Vidya dresses Gopi's wound with Shravan's hanky. Kokila lectures Gaura and tells her to change her ways. She make reference to Vidya's face being blackened, the goddesses blessings and more stuff.
A crowd enters and protests about Gaura's decision to sacrifice the goat. They threaten her with police intervention. Urmila and Kinjal are among the crowd. Ahem steps forward and says that it was due to Gopi's text which he had forwarded. The man praises Gopi while she simpers. Ahem sees Gopi's cut and shows concern.
As the Surivenshis do not change their stance and Gaura once again orders Vidya to give up the goat, the men confine Dharam while the women throw what seems to be water balloons at Gaura. Gaura plays a mean game of dodgeball but still gets covered in ink. Meera was to be targeted too but Gopi stops them. Kokila backs her up. The ladies then start beating Gaura.
