Dharam searched high and low for Meera. He walked the streets and bazaars desperately seeking her. How could he be so stupid to let her go...he should have known she would never go home. My god where was she? Was she ok? How was she surviving? Dharam was frantic with worry but deep inside him he knew his thiki mirchi was a survivor, she was resourceful and she was strong. He just knew she was out there somewhere but where? Had she left town? What the hell was he supposed to do?

Head spinning Dharam sat down at a Darba. Slowly sipping on a cool cola through a straw he leant back in his chair and closed his eyes, Meera filled his mind, he remembered their first dance, how she had pinched his cheek, how something long dead inside him was awakened. He knew that was the moment he started to love her...he forced himself out of his day dream and leaving money on the table, continued roaming the streets aimlessly, showing strangers the photo of Meera he kept in his wallet. No one had seen her. His feet ached. The searing sun beat down upon him, beads of sweat were glistening on his face. Still he did not stop walking. Day turned into night. Dharam was exhausted and with no leads Dharam headed home. The drive home although not far was torturous.. Dharams mind drifted to Meera again. He remembered the time she had driven this car so effortlessly once. How she had taught him women were just as capable as men. If he and Meera ever had a daughter...he stopped himself right there..what stupid thoughts he was having. Dharam didn't even realise when he had reached home. He didn't remember any of the journey home as he was so lost in his thoughts. Gaura was waiting for him. "Where have you been"? She asked him. I have called you so many times. Dharam checked his phone. There were over 15 missed calls. "Sorry ma" he replied. He then explained why he was late. Gaura was shocked. She like her son had grown very fond of Meera. She had started to love her as her own daughter. All the past deeds were forgiven and forgotten and in Meera Gaura had found a loving needy daughter. A daughter she had never had. She learnt Meera had never really known a mother and wanted to give her that type of pure love she had given her own son. She was devastated when Meera had left to return to the Modis. He house felt empty without her giggles and childish nature. She looked at her son and saw a broken man. Her son she had always felt was invincible, the son who still acted like a big child, who never took anything seriously, who had a quick temper and lashed out. Gaura recognised that now at the age of 36 her son had finally become a man. Her heart broke for him for she felt his pain as only a mother could. However she tried to stay practical for his sake.

"Durga Devi" Gaura shouted, "bring my son son food". Durga came scurrying out of the kitchen, her head bowed and shakingly placed a plate of food before Dharam. Dharam did not acknowledge her but started to eat. The food tasted bland, he felt sick with worry for Meera. What if he never saw her again?

Durga returned with a glass of water for Dharam. This time he looked at her with contempt. He pushed his plate away stood up suddenly and stormed off to his room. Durga had already ruined his life once before he fumed in his room. Now he finally had a chance at happiness that had been taken from him too. Dharam felt a lump rise in his throat. He tried to choke back his tears. Dharam Suryavanshi doesn't cry he tried to convince himself.a tear ran down his cheek. Real men don't cry he repeated over and over but it was too late. The floodgates opened. Dharam sat on the edge of his bed overwhelmed with grief. He cried for Meera. He cried for the life he had wasted forcibly married to his brothers widow. He was no more than a child himself when he had to marry his pregnant sister in law. He cried for Shravan, the man he had raised as his own son who now detested him. Dharam hated himself for the way he treated Durga but he had never loved her, there had never been any relationship between them. Yet she remained good and pure. He felt anger towards her for this. Why didn't she give him a reason to hate her so much? She just bore his rages bravely. She didn't deserve any of this either. Both of them were trapped in a loveless marrage. Meera had brought hope and a true friendship into his life. Now she was gone too. He had lost everything

Oh my days Nina! Why didn't you tell me you were continuing the story?! I am only just reading it!
It's so so good! Love how Dharam has a photo of her and the Guara and Meera bound (you know how much I love Guara and Meera's relationship 😳).

I think someone needs to show this to the cvs so they get some inspiration otherwise we will have to tolerate murder plots and ghost track and what not 😆

Mr Hari Kumar battled his way through the early morning traffic. The 60 year old business owner lived with his son and daughter in law in a middle class area. Alhough his business had always managed to do reasonably well it had never made him the wealthy man he longed to be. Still it was ticking over and he even managed to employ a small work force. His newest employee Meera Suryavanshi had him puzzled. Here was this pretty young lady was obviously married with her sindoor and manglesutre. Yet she lived alone in a shabby little flat. Looking at her saris it was clear her family were wealthy. Once he had dared to ask Meera about her husband. Meera had become visibly upset, he eyes brimming with tears and turned away. Mr kumar then vowed not to inquire again. It was clearly a situation that upset her very much.

Finally he arrived at his office looking hot and bothered. The portly man struggled up the flight of stairs to his office (the lift was broken). As he entered he saw Meera sitting at the reception desk looking most disinterested and bored. He smiled at her. Good morning Meera. Meera looked sulkily at him and managed to muster a tiny smile. Like the Mona Lisa, Hari chuckled to himself. "Hold all calls for 30 minutes" he instructed Meera. "What calls sir"? Meera asked him. Your lucky if you get five calls a day. Hari smiled at Meera. He was a jovial man who hated confrontation. He huffed and puffed his way into his office and closed the door. Sitting at his desk he watched Meera through the glass. She took out a nail file and started working on a manicure. He watched as she took out a pink nail polish and painted her nails, then blew on the nails and waved her hands around to dry them. Hari found this sulky girl fascinating. He felt quite protective towards her as she was alone and vulnerable but on the outside she was a tough cookie.

After work Meera ordered herself a pizza and carried it home. She looked around her bare flat, take away boxes littered everywhere, dirty clothes scattered on the floor. I suppose I should tidy up she sighed to herself and after eating she set to work. An hour later she was satisfied with her cleaning attempt. She want to shower and then lay down to sleep. Although she fell asleep quickly her dreams were filled with Dharam. Sometimes she dreamt of him shouting at her and then arguing, sometimes she dreamt of being held by him. She would wake up in the morning feeling sad and lost. However she would then pull herself together and live her life as if all was well. That was meeras talent. Hiding her pain under her attitude. This was how she coped with life and people could either like her or get stuffed. She didn't care.

The day's turned into weeks as Dharam continued his search. He had hired a private detective to track Meera down too but still no luck. Durga noticed Dharam was losing interest in his hobbies and work. All he thought about was finding Meera. This made Durga burn. That stupid immature ladki was making her husband suffer. That morning Dharam sat at the table eating his breakfast. Durga served him prathas which Dharam slowly ate without any reaction. Durga loved to watch Dharam eat. He always wolfed his food down and she knew he enjoyed her cooking. Lately he wasn't even eating properly. Durga felt this was a small price to pay to get her husband back. Over the last few weeks with Meera gone Durga felt she could enjoy her husband again. Even though he ignored her she liked being in the same house as him. She would cook his favourite dishes (although he never showed his appreciation). She would imagine one day he would suddenly learn to appreciate her. From that his love would grow. This was the one dream she lived with. It was what kept her going.
As usual after breakfast Dharam would read the newspaper before setting off to work. Durga cleaned around him whilst he sat in his chair reading. She wanted to be near him. However this had the opposite effect and an annoyed Dharam slammed his paper down half read and left for work. Durga sighed and went to pick up the paper. On the back was a colourful advertisement . Durga picked up the paper and carried it to the kitchen ready to throw it in the bin. The advert caught her eye as she was about to dispose of it. "Hai Ram" she exhaled. The advert was of a business "Hari Kumar enterprises". Hari was pictured grinning proudly into the camera. Behind him the office was empty...except for an attractive fair lady with red lipstick and curly black hair. She was sat at a desk behind mr kumar and was obviously annoyed at being photographed. Durga knew that scowl well. Durga took the newspaper. She hid it under her pallu and snuck off to her bedroom.
