I don't agree with this "no one has forced meera theory

How old is she ? Is it not the parent's repsonsibility to stop their children from ruining their lives. Marrying someone like 30 years elder to you would be a cause of concern for most families. Just because she is legally a adult, does she not need her parents guidance?

She is completely alienated in that house ... its like they don't give a damn

The family don't know what she's up too so how could they stop her? The Modi family treat her like a naughty school girl and Gopi treats her like a baby with her annoying voice when she calls "meeerrra" ugh!

Don't say he's 30 years older!!! Let's say 20 years
😆

I admit they could have treated her better for her not to rebel. She grew up without any family for years and then was separated again from her family and left to be raised by those idiots Ahem and Maansi! Poor girl didn't have a chance. But... How old is Meera now? 20? 21? She is old enough to know better. Maybe she is marrying Dharam to save her sister. In which case that shows great maturity and foresight. What's happens has happened so I'm just gonna sit back and enjoy the Dheera nok jok. It's gonna be great fun.

I disagree with this because no one did actually force her. She's not a kid, she should know better than to take this huge step even if it is to save her sister. Plus, she also had a choice of telling Kokila everything about Guara at the Sangeet but she didn't. So it's not like anyone could stop her cus noone is aware of her decision.
However, I do feel that it's not entirely her fault cus she was isolated from everyone else hence this choice in haste and desperation.

Amar is 20 years older, not 30. Not that adding ten more years would make it wrong or anything but still 😆

Actually you can't blame Meera at all! She was so desperate to escape the idiot Modis she first tried to marry Sanskar! When that plan failed she moved on to Dharm!

Yes, more than Kokila, it should be her son & DIL who should be guiding their children. Ahem's POV is to make them independent before getting them married. Even Gopi wishes the same. However, Ahem gave into Gaura's demands only for the sake of Kokila's friendship with Gaura.

He was not happy when Koki & Gopi considered Gaura's proposal for Meera. He said that Meera should complete her studies & be independent to which Gopi said they won't proceed without Meera's consent.

Ahem did the same in Vidya's case. Both Ahem & Gopi are sacrificing their dreams for their daughters for Kokila's friendship.

Though Vidya is intelligent, she needs to know the world more. Her parents should guide her. Kokila should stop being after everybody's life.

EXACTLY!!! I AGREE 😕

Actually, no one isolated her. First of all, she has got hatred towards her mom, which distanced her from the family.

Even after the truth was told to Meera about Radha, she chose not to believe.

She is basically upset about Ahem reuniting with Gopi. Meera is a brat. No second thoughts about it. However, the Modis didn't fully tell her about Radha. They didn't tell her what Radha did to her when she was a toddler.

Otherwise that would have made a difference. She wouldn't have misbehaved when Gaura brought the proposal to her or created tantrums in Vidya's engagement or sangeet.

She should have helped Gopi to get the proof against Gaura & stopped the wedding instead of taking such a huge step.

It was Meera who isolated herself.

Her and Gopi's relationship is irrelevant at the moment. Yes she's at fault but her family also have a hand in it. That's why I said it's not entirely her fault.
She was isolated because everyone was turning against her. They didn't listen to her when she tried to warn them, they locked her away etc Although, Gopi was supporting her sometimes, Meera didn't see it. She always heard and saw things which made her feel left out and not part of the family.

Meera was being looked upon in a bad way since as she insulted Gaura & broke Dharam's leg. Kokila is the main culprit. She cannot see anything beyond her friendship with Gaura. Meera could see what others didn't. Besides Meera, Gopi and Urmila could see that Gaura is hiding the facts from the Modi family. But Kokila is not ready to believe.

Meera is also looked upon in a bad way also because of her previous misdeeds.

Unfortunately I have to disagree with you both. Sorry. Probably the way that I am seeing it and have experienced for myself. Emotional blackmail can be full on in your face or so subtle that you don't notice until much later on. Compulsion was there otherwise why not get engaged and wait to get married instead of jumping right in. Someone of 19 has not seen the world yet, nor had time to mature. She was without her mother for so many years and that bond was never given the chance to flourish.

Meera is a brat but she is the product of Ahem's ego and inability to tell her the complete truth of why Gopi was absent for so many years. He lied to both girls and to this date has not sat down with Meera to dispel her misconceptions about Gopi.
