its all kokila's fault...😊

It is Koki's fault as she became emotional when Gaura said that she will part from her for Meera's behavior.

It is only for happiness, Ahem & Gopi spoke to Vidya to which she agreed after meeting Shravan.

I'm not too keen on the Dharam - Meera marriage so sorry to all you shippers out there and I will give you my reasons in due course but let me get to my first issue on this storyline:
1. Kokila. Her son and daughter in law brought two little girls into this world. As parents they have the right to determine their future. As a grandmother kokila should only be there to offer guidance to her children and grandchildren not run roughshod over their emotions and bully all to her will. Kokila is now atoning for her sins by laying her grand daughters hopes and dreams on the sacrificial altar. Modis form of panchayat where the sins of one family member are dealt out to another, mostly female member of the family. Vidya has not done any wrong except for being carried away by the situation yet she is most likely to suffer. Whereas Kokila will only see the relation with her friend and ignore Vidya's plight.

Gopi is seeing that something is not right but Kokila is not ready to listen despite the remarks made by Gaura. Gopi alone can't stand up to Kokila. Ahem should stop hiding behind Gopi's sari and become the man who stood up to his mother ten years ago. They are his daughters too and the dreams he had for them are his promise to them, instead he has handed guardianship over to his mother without a squeak. Time has now come to stop airing your concerns in private. Evidence is how Dharam and Gaura man handle Meera. A father would not just stand by and let it happen.
Ok, enough essay from me. I should be working. If there are any replies I shall tend to them this evening.

As for the Dharam and Meera thing, if the situation was different then I might have thought otherwise. The cat and mouse scenario is good but knowing Dharam's intentions I'm not going to ship them.

I think we are lacking growth in terms of the characters. There has been a distinct lack of growth in the characters since the show aired. Yes Gopi has become educated and more self assured but she was always able to stand up for what is right. Even when she was scared of her Urmila and Rashi she wasn't completely useless and in terms of how long it has been in the show, and all that her character has seen and done she should be much more than she is.
Ahem has had no growth. In fact he seems to have regressed. He was better at the beginning of the show. He made some decisions even if they weren't always the right ones. As a grown man, and a father of two young ladies he should be much more assertive and able to take a stand for his daughters, whether it is against his mother or not.
As for Koki I am the most disappointed with her character growth. You would have thought she'd have learnt from her mistakes and the past. She should trust her children to make the decisions for their own children. She does need to step meddling and let people live their own lives. I don't even think she should offer guidance - she is not the best placed at all.

I think the CVs need to remember that this show is not supposed to be about Kokila and her life but the life of a couple. Now that Rashi is gone the show should be about Ahem and Gopi coping with life together. So I want to see how they cope with their daughters and random people trying to marry them. Poor Jigar and his kids don't even get a proper look in.

Also... I LOVE YOU!!

Hey Simi 😃. Thanks for replying. Saathiya has always been women centric, hence the men are just spare parts. Reminds me of something else but if I spoke my thoughts I shall be in such trouble 😈 😆

@ bold 😲 *looks over shoulder* Me? 😆. Good to see you come out of semi retirement 😃. I've refrained from commenting on this story line as for me Saathiya was the Gohem of old and Gopi's initial new found attitude with Ahem after the leap. I don't feel connected to the characters anymore.

I don't know what the cvs expect of us when they butcher each and every character as they have done. Poor kristin will be beside hersel if she knew how Kokila is now. Tissues, cake and comfort on hand. She was such a big koki fan.

I couldn't help but liken what Kokila is doing to that of a village panchayat. Kokila is atoning for her sins by giving up her grand daughters without a thought to Vidya's feeling or her parents wishes and Gaura is executing her revenge by ruining kokila's grand daughter's life. I am now beginning to understand why she is targeting the children and not Kokila. But the whole thing sucks. This is bartering of a daughters/ grand daughters hopes and dream of the worst kind.

Somebody has said that Vidya is entering into this marriage of her own will and that she loves Shravan but think of this instead, how do we know that Vidya has not been subjected to some form of emotional blackmail. That Meera caused Kokila to fall in her friends eyes so Vidya does the right thing so she has been brought up that way. Don't know how as Ahem sucked at being a parent.

Also don't forget the silent bystanders who are Baa, Hetal and the brothers ChiRag. None have the guts or sense to stand up to Kokila and tell her that what she is doing is not right.

Furthermore, if everything goes tits up, sorry, belly up and Vidya is unhappy will Kokila do the same as she did with kinjal? That her in laws are her family now and she should adjust!

It's like nothing changes. The same mistakes are going to be made again.
I'm just disappointed that the show didn't move on. It should have. We should be seeing a united family, I don't think they need to be perfect but they need to be better than they are.

I would love for Ahem and Gopi to have an epiphany and say "Actually we've decided that our children aren't involved in all this crap and are definitely not ready for marriage. We want to grow as a family so we're leaving this madhouse. If you want to atone for the past do so on your own. We are out of here!"

I live in dreams.

Xarina, the reason why we're are saying that Vidya is in love with Shravan and is marrying him of her own will is that when Kokila agreed to this rishta, Gopi was against Kokila's decision. She didn't want Vidya to feel compelled to marry Shravan for the sake of Kokila's friendship with Gaura. Initially maybe Vidya did agree for this reason, but after she spent time with Shravan and while Gopi was still having doubts regarding this rishta, Vidya told Gopi that she really liked Shravan and was certain he was the correct life partner for her. From there Gopi decided to go along with the marriage for the sake of Vidya's happiness, although her instincts are telling her that something's wrong.

So Vidya didn't need to feel emotionally blackmailed into marrying Shravan for Kokila's sake because her own mother was vocal about her not having to do that and didn't even want this marriage to begin with. But if in spite of that she still wants to marry Shravan, then Gopi and us viewers are going to assume that she really is in love with Shravan and wants to marry him.

I agree with Nikki... No one compelled her to marry Shravan... Initially it was that.. Vidya was thinking because of Meera's misbehaviour she should, but later eveyrone said the final decision is hers..

Good point. I hope she would try to help Vidya as Gaura is evil. Dharam is a decent guy. But you never know with Kokila.
