Actress Rucha Hasabnis, who plays antagonist Rashi in Saath Nibhaana Saathiya, is set to quit the show.
The actress, who has been a part of the show since its inception in 2010, is currently serving her two-month notice period, which will end in July.
What's the reason behind her quitting the show? "Rucha wants to get married to her long-time boyfriend by this year end or next year beginning. Being the only child of her parents, she wants to spend quality time with them before she ties the knot. She had put in her papers long back but was continuing because of her relationship with the channel and the production house," says the source. So, will her husband Jigar (Vishal Singh) get a new Rashi? "That's not confirmed. There are chances that they will show Rashi dead and Jigar will be a widower," concludes the source. Rucha didn't revert to our text message.
