I for one , won't criticise Gopi if she gives tea or cooks .

what if after the birth of vidya kokila will take care by giving like punishmen not touching her child and also in that matter ahem also wont support her mostly because they are the one accusing for child lose beacuse of gopi

Why should she stay there as only Vidya's caretaker in some corner when her daughter deserves much more . Why should Urmilaben's daughter hold the keys and loot the Modi tijori and give loads to her greedy mother and why should Radha become Modi bahu . It is also rightfully Gopi's and Vidya's . Vidya stayed in mediocre circumstances for years while Urmilaben rolled in money when all that money was rightfully Vidya's . All due to Gopi's impractical nature . Today all that stands in her way is the anger issues of those 2 . Let her set out to dissolve them in her own way and regain her place , its quite sensible in the long run instead of ego battles which achieve nothing and enable outsiders to win .

Gopi was a simple housewife and this was her dream life . Managing a big house and being adored by her immediate family , that is , her saas and husband , was her simple dream .

And why should one not have it . Why should one constantly stress the force of individual personality and give back squarely etc , why is giving peaceful love not regarded as the hallmark of the individuality of a certain character . As i see it , Gopi was and is like a quiet steady tree giving shade . Thats why Rashi always wants her in the background , coz she depends on her steady loyalty when her kalaakaaris run out .

Whatever Gopi has learnt in her independence phase as an arts teacher can be used to enhance her individuality later on , much to the aghast open mouth of Urmilaben . I am sure Kokila will insist on it once she thaws . Kokila insisted on her education once .

Gopi should have never left the house after the blame . She should have done what she is doing now , ignored and done chores quietly . Vidya's birth would have helped a lot . Ahem may have kept aside his anger and taken care of the mother of his child like he is going to do on the Holi burning day . Gopi missed out on so much , she made Ahem miss out on so much and Vidya missed out on so much too .

I don't see it as endduring abuse . I see it as a tragic phase . There r ups and downs in a marital life , well this is a down phase .

Madhuben is telling her , how u will live here , come with me . Come with me where , to Urmilaben's ? What better life will she go to ? Urmila ben whole day taunts them harshly , that is a better life ?

I say Gopi should not budge . Bcoz she left her position vacant so many looted and won . Radha , Rashi , Urmilaben . She should stay firm on her position and not mind the anger of saas and husband , ignore it not rudely but with mature understanding . She should cook meals till Kokila eats and even give Ahem his green teas . Let him reject them initially . She should cleverly use Vidya to get the 2 to come around .

For some of us gopi's servile attitude is difficult to swallow. But it seems gopi herself has no problem. Her soft nature is taken advantage of even by her own daughter, Vidya. If the mother is strong who brooks no nonsense, Vidya would not have dared to plot the marriage. Vidya wants to get happiness at the cost of her mother's self respect though unknowingly and with the innocence of a child.

Pathetically, gopi's worth is realised only when she starts saving lives. Saving Kokila from drinking that tea and saving rashi from being burnt alive.
We normal women are under no such pressure to save lives to get that place.

The problem is Koki has one set of rules for Rashi and one totally other set for Gopi. Rashi is allowed to get away because she is given the leeway of being 'childish' while Gopi does not have that option.

Even before Koki had no issues when Gopi stayed away from Meera when Koki accused her of separating her from her son. She went further and blindfolded Gopi inspite of her still taking care of Meera and her needs.

This time the only reason Koki relented this time around was because Vidya ran away and insisted on being with her mom. Kokila knows when she is defeated and she took Hetal's advice only because Vidya insisted. Otherwise, they had indeed brought Vidya home and kept Gopi out of MM.

Well, the difference is that Kokila is separating a mother from her child while she is a grandmother who still has her son attached to her pallu😉

And yes. Koki did make Gopi go blindfolded for days because she was as usual 'punishing' her. And Meera was nursing, perhaps a little less than a year old.
