I just wonder that Gopi got educated to the level of becoming an Art teacher- and might have picked up English tobe able to communicate along with communicating in Hindi. Surprising she did all this by herself when alone, and pregnant, and being a mother; not to mention how she took care of herself in monetary ways when alone and now all she can do is cry and be submissive again. I know she needs time, and is cautious at present so that those injured are not further injured, but the serial CVs need to knowthat we audience will not take any irregular depiction just very naively. They need to back it up with appropriate back up story and a consistent character portrayal.
@bold: I looked at it this way. Yes, she managed to educate herself enough to become a teacher while still having to look after a child, house and finances but (and it's a big but), she wasn't a slave to first Urmi and Rashi (prior to marriage) then the whole Modi household. She's never really had a chance to spread her wings prior to this time. Without the constant demands of her family (minus Vidya) she may have had the opportunity to further her schooling and get a job to boot. Anyway, this is the only way I can justify the fact that a once uneducated girl was shown in the role of a teacher in just 8 years...
