Has Gopi CHANGED over the years?

I think she's still a terrible push over and too innocent however...if you have been following Saathiya from the total beginning, I think Gopi has come a long way. For example, she stood up against Koki and told her she's not backing down and leaving her child behind. The old Gopi was so obedient, it was just odd.

Also she does ocassionally voice her opinions loud and clear, she does stand up and get into "rage" mode when needed (the time she threw Radha out of modi bhavan for insulting Koki)... before she never even spoke properly, she just mumbled and whispered 😆 and let everyone insult her like crazy. Yes she's still naive and trusting like that but she HAS improved somewhat and has developed a back bone.

So friends, do you think Gopi has changed over the years? Any positive or negative aspects to her character development?

Hmm.. A very good post👏

Here is what I feel IMHO😊

So let me first get the most irritating aspect of Gopi's character out of the way.

To me, Gopi's constant tears, her crying has not changed. She cries often and does it at the drop of the hat. I wish she does not do that. That is one thing that has never changed. Gopi's tears😭😆

The stupid naivety in her character is something that used to be hilarious at times.. Like when Rashi fools Gopi that Ahem is a chicken or when she went behind Anitha's ghost🤣 The Gopi from yesterday is not that stupid anymore. She still makes mistakes. But she is not stupid. She has grown to be someone who has learnt to think.

Her inherent trust in people and their goodness though has not changed over the years. She does not suspect others, even if they have a track of letting her down. She loves her family dearly and forgives them, no matter what they do to her. I think that has remained throughout. Gopi's love for her family...She hurts when they hurt. She hurts when they hurt her too but she does not complain.

She has become stronger. I am happy that Gopi was able to survive for 8 years with basic education and no worldly experience but I am not surprised. Gopi always seemed to have inherent strength. She was the wife who marched to Bhuj, 9 months pregnant and saved her husband.. So it is no wonder that she saved herself for Vidya.

But oddly Gopi still remains a doormat to Ahem and Kokila. She remains easily manipulated by others. She gets emotional when people request things out of her, however unsuitable and unsavory it may be.. Gopi considers doing it only because the other person requested. I wish that had changed.

There is however a long way to go for Gopi. She has to understand that life is not just within the walls of MM. She has lived away from her home and has seen the outside world. I wish she would use that as a positive experience and not become embroiled in the mess that is MM currently

Thank you and WOW very strong points!!

Remember when Rashi convinced Gopi to "wash" Ahems laptop so its clean? 😆 I also agree about the tears, we could probably have made a swimming pool by now with all of Gopis tears over the years 😆

I hope she doesn't melt down to Ahems sweet behaviour so quickly lol. I think this time, they better show a great resolution where Gopi finally gets respected and she learns to respect HERSELF as well. I also hope Radhas punishment is really harsh, what she did was just disgusting. Shes so blinded by Umangs "love" that she was willing to murder an innocent child to get even. 🤢 🤢

Radha needs to be punished and it should be shown.. She is a psychopath who takes pleasure in a child's misery.. Leave alone Gopi, she knows about Meera and she is playing with a defenseless child's life because of her 'love' and who is Umang really? 😡

Radha should be taught a very severe punishment. They should show her being arrested and convicted and the judge pronouncing a severe sentence. She should also know that Umang was a lying, cheating bas***d..

When I see Gauri, it is really sad. A child left alone to defend itself inspite of having loving parents.. Meera did not deserve that

I just wonder that Gopi got educated to the level of becoming an Art teacher- and might have picked up English tobe able to communicate along with communicating in Hindi. Surprising she did all this by herself when alone, and pregnant, and being a mother; not to mention how she took care of herself in monetary ways when alone and now all she can do is cry and be submissive again. I know she needs time, and is cautious at present so that those injured are not further injured, but the serial CVs need to knowthat we audience will not take any irregular depiction just very naively. They need to back it up with appropriate back up story and a consistent character portrayal.

I also feel that now Vidya will give Gopi more confidence, she will support her mother and fight for her. Vidya is such a firecracker, I love it 😆 😳

I do think she has changed, maybe not to the degree we would like, but if people think about Gopi's character from the very beginning of the show to her character now, answering back to Radha very cleverly, there is a definite increase in her intelligence and wisdom. She does cry too much and remains a doormat in front of her immediate family, but at the same time she has learned to stand up for what is most important in her life (ie Vidya). She is still a pushover but not as much as before, so yeah there is improvement.
