Hmm.. A very good post👏
Here is what I feel IMHO😊
So let me first get the most irritating aspect of Gopi's character out of the way.
To me, Gopi's constant tears, her crying has not changed. She cries often and does it at the drop of the hat. I wish she does not do that. That is one thing that has never changed. Gopi's tears😭😆
The stupid naivety in her character is something that used to be hilarious at times.. Like when Rashi fools Gopi that Ahem is a chicken or when she went behind Anitha's ghost🤣 The Gopi from yesterday is not that stupid anymore. She still makes mistakes. But she is not stupid. She has grown to be someone who has learnt to think.
Her inherent trust in people and their goodness though has not changed over the years. She does not suspect others, even if they have a track of letting her down. She loves her family dearly and forgives them, no matter what they do to her. I think that has remained throughout. Gopi's love for her family...She hurts when they hurt. She hurts when they hurt her too but she does not complain.
She has become stronger. I am happy that Gopi was able to survive for 8 years with basic education and no worldly experience but I am not surprised. Gopi always seemed to have inherent strength. She was the wife who marched to Bhuj, 9 months pregnant and saved her husband.. So it is no wonder that she saved herself for Vidya.
But oddly Gopi still remains a doormat to Ahem and Kokila. She remains easily manipulated by others. She gets emotional when people request things out of her, however unsuitable and unsavory it may be.. Gopi considers doing it only because the other person requested. I wish that had changed.
There is however a long way to go for Gopi. She has to understand that life is not just within the walls of MM. She has lived away from her home and has seen the outside world. I wish she would use that as a positive experience and not become embroiled in the mess that is MM currently
