Thanks for the replies!

@Dipsy80 and ANJ4: Thanks for the compliments! 😊

@Sunnyahem: I think we can all understand your frustration! 😕

@nalini89: No one is blaming the CVs for anything. Of course miracles can occur and long-lost people do find each other at times, just like the lovely story Mrs_Ojha wrote about. No one has a problem with that at all - the weird thing is why they are doing that in SNS now.

Maybe I am over-thinking things but I would really like to know why they are now changing the very thing that influenced Gopi's character and entire life - her being an orphan. The very premise of the show was an orphan girl finding the loving mother that she never had in her mother-in-law, which has indeed happened with Gopi and Kokila, but now instead of actually concentrating on making Gopi continue to become a stronger character, they are bringing back her parents who everyone thought were dead! I just hope there will be a proper reason for this and that it will not lead to more heartbreak for Gopi! 😊

@Dipsy80: The purpose of the laptop-washing has already been served.

Meera washed someone's phone in a bucket of water and then told Ahem about what she had done. Ahem thought it was really cute and then told Gopi that Meera was just like Gopi, because Gopi had washed his laptop with soap and water, and now Meera had done the same thing with a phone. Ahem meant it in a harmless manner but it affected Gopi greatly. She didn't want Meera to be illiterate like her (or in her mind, stupid like her!) and so that is when she decided that she needed to teach Meera things like numbers, colours etc, and then that is why she pushed so hard for Meera to go to playschool. So revisiting the laptop-washing was necessary for this, and it has served its purpose. 😊

I don't see how the purpose of the laptop scene memory was saved in the last track...the memory was never a problem with Ahem to begin with. Agreed he probably finds it cute now but for Gopi it was a shameful memory...so what has happened now to erase that shame? I see no relation between Gopi's insecurity about Meera's education and the dwarf incident which put an end to the track Confused

I have been giving this some thought. How do we know that Urmila knew that Gopi's parents are alive? Or have I missed something. If she knew that they were living, would she have kept hold of another mouth to feed? And how come the government continued to pay Gopi's father's pension?

exactly and I find it a little hard to believe that Gopi's parents could not find her..it was not as if she was out there alone..she was living with their relatives! even if they thought that Jitubhai and Urmi too perished in the flood..still they would have made some effort to find them! it's not as if they have changed their identity and hiding. I don't know I am getting the feeling that Gopi's father has put more effort in growing his moustache than in searching for his daughter! 😕...and why is Urmi so determined to get Gopi reunited with her family? time and again we have been witness to her hostility towards Gopi...why is she suddenly going all sweet on her??? 😕

@ bold 🤣. So inconsistent but we can't blame cvs. I have been visiting another forum 😳 and this illness knows no borders. All the cvs are suffering from it.

oh I am sure these Kanhaji chamatkaars and glaring loopholes happen in all the shows but somehow SNS had managed to remain pretty consistent for a long time...but since a few months I can see that the CVs are working real hard in trying to push the story down the drain...yet we morons don't give up! 😆

I actually felt a little sorry for Urmila in yesterday's episode! For once she actually seemed to be trying to do something good simply for the sake of doing it, and not just to cover her tracks or rectify something bad that was her fault. And of course no one believes her! (This is why you shouldn't cry wolf!) But I felt the most sorry for Gopi and for her father.

Perhaps there really is nothing sinister and everyone genuinely thought Gopi's parents were dead, but it turns out that they aren't. (Xarina, we don't know that Urmila knew Gopi's parents were alive and you haven't missed anything - I was just speculating about possibilities.)

I agree with Xarina and -Dipsy80-, there are so many inconsistencies - the pension, Gopi's parents not trying to find her or the Shah family (seemingly they lived in Rajkot the whole time). the photo of her parents that Gopi had, and it goes on!

I do wonder why they are doing this now and seemingly trying to redeem Urmila in the process. A lot of the time, the villains start going straight when a show is getting closer to wrapping up. It is very possible that SNS could potentially be wrapping up sooner rather than later, and so they are rushing to get this done, maybe get some of the loopholes closed, and have one big happy family at the end.

And -dipsy80-, yes, I agree there wasn't really a need to bring back the memory of the laptop-washing incident. But for some reason they really wanted to bring Gopi's insecurity about education to the fore and then have the whole playschool storyline happen, so they showed that again. I'm still not sure why they bothered with the playschool storyline at all! I guess it highlights the necessity of being vigilant about where you send your kids to playschool/daycare etc and some of the bad things that can happen (I have heard a story in reality about teachers drugging little kids to get them to sleep), but they didn't need to have it. Meera is only one year old, after all!

These days it does seem like SNS is rushing lots of little storylines to get out as many social messages as they possibly can. Maybe it is about to end? Rashmi Sharma is apparently coming up with a new show for Star Plus that will begin shooting sometime in August. It might not be, either. Just a thought!
