Urmila's role in Gopi thinking she is an orphan?

The whole premise of SNS from the very beginning was that Gopi was an orphan who was not treated very well by her mami, and who then got married and eventually found a loving family in her in-laws and the loving mother she never had in her mother-in-law. Now all that has happened but it turns out Gopi's parents are actually alive!

We all know that Gopi had a photo of her parents before, but she did not recognise the man with the long moustache as her father.

[Obviously the man with the moustache who is now her father in the show is a different man to the one in the photo before, because they just took a photo of someone and used it for Gopi's parents back then but now they decided to have her parents be alive in the story and so actually cast some actors in the roles of her parents.]

If the CVs actually remember that Gopi had her parents photo before and have her take it out of the cupboard and look at it again, I wonder if it will be the same photo she had before or one of the actors who are now portraying her parents. If it is of the new actors then it will be strange, because she didn't recognise her father when she saw him in person, whereas she has seen the photo before and she is supposed to have a good memory (although the CVs will and do conveniently forget when it suits them that Gopi has an excellent memory because she had to remember absolutely everything before she learnt how to read or write!). If they show the photo to us again then I think it really should have the same people in it as before - not the parents who have turned up now (although SNS does tend to defy logic at times!).

If the CVs actually remember that Gopi had a photo (and that is a big "if"!) then they will probably now say that Urmila gave her a photo of some random people and told her that the couple in it were her parents.

Articles have mentioned that Gopi's parents lost her in the Kumbh Mela, and her father hasn't cut his moustache since then and her mother has lost her mental balance. Urmila recognises the father, so she obviously has something to do with them.

Do you guys think Urmila took Gopi from the Kumbh Mela? Do you think they are even actually related? And if this "Gopi as an orphan" situation does involve some kalakaari of Urmila's then where on Earth was Jeetubhai back then? Was he on a seemingly-permanent business trip back then as well?

I guess it is possible that Jeetubhai's sister and brother-in-law (Rashi's aunt/fayi and uncle/fufa) actually died, but that Gopi isn't really their daughter. It could be that their baby died with them, but Urmila found Gopi somewhere and pretended that she was their baby, and Jeetubhai and Rashi don't know about this baby-swap job of Urmila's. If that is the case then maybe the photo Gopi has is of Jeetubhai's actual sister and brother-in-law,

Urmila could have done this baby swapping because she potentially wanted to hide her involvement in their deaths and/or the kidnapping of baby Gopi. Or it could even have been just so that she could have a little servant girl for free. (She wouldn't have to pay a relative and could make out to everyone that she was such a kind woman in giving her orphaned niecea place to live and "looking after" her, but if she hired a girl from outside the family then she would have to pay her, surely. And we all know how much Urmila hates having to spend money when she can avoid it!)

They also made it very clear that Rashi did not see the man with the moustache (she was not interested at all!). Perhaps he is her real uncle and she would recognise him? (If Gopi went missing as a one-year-old then I'm guessing Rashi would have been about two years old at the time, and she would probably be able to recognise people, just like one-year-old Meera can now.) This would mean that they never actually died and that Urmila has been lying to everyone about them being dead the whole time. In the past Urmila has refused to tell Rashi anything about what actually happened on Gopi's birthday, the day her parents supposedly died, so maybe they never really died at all?

Not sure if Dhaval actually saw the moustache man, but he is more distantly related to him (Dhaval is Urmila's brother's son) and he grew up in Mumbai anyway, and he is supposed to be a whole year younger than Rashi, so he would probably not recognise him even if he had seen him. Or he might - you never know with SNS!

If the CVs remember that Gopi had a photo of her parents before (at least, people who she thought were her parents!) then they should get Rashi to look at it and then we can see if Rashi is able to identify the people in it as her aunt and uncle or not.

And they should bring back Jeetubhai from his seemingly-permanent business trip now! His presence could help clear up the whole mystery! And if he were to look at the photo then he would definitely be able to tell if it was of his sister and brother-in-law, even if Rashi cannot because she was too young to remember them at the time they "died"!

Who knows what will actually happen in the show, but what do you guys think?
Any theories on Urmila's involvement in this whole "Gopi-thinking-she-is-an-orphan-her-whole-life-only-to-find-out-she-is-not" drama?

Of course it is possible that everyone, including Urmila, honestly thought that Gopi's parents really had died, but it turns out that they didn't and there was nothing sinister involved at all.

I would just really like to know WHY they are suddenly now changing the thing that shaped Gopi's character the most - her being an orphan.

Seriously, where are they going with this track??? šŸ˜•

Have mentally switched off from this show...honestly I cudnt care less..now even ahem seems different to me. .I see thid just csuse of nazim..but even his character has gone to the mad house. ..their relationship seems forced now..thetes no love..just the bond of parents. ..it seems like ahemji is in the marriage just cause of his daughter...very weird and gopi is getting weaker and weaker character wise.

you are right, they need to bring back Rashi's father before everything else. His absence is annoying the hell out of me.

wow you really have given this a lot of thought havent you!?😲...firstly what I have always felt that CVs have always been very hesitant to go back to events where Gopi was not played by Devo. It's like they want to start the story anew...many times I have felt that...there have been just 3 instances for me where the CVs had to go back
1. Gohem SD on Holi (They couldnt have ignored that and expected us to forget!)
2. Ahem remembering how he made Gopi sleep on the floor
3. the laptop washing scene (I dont know what purpose it served...the CVs forgot all about it again!)
Along with renewal of vows and Ahem apologizing for the slap I always wanted to see Gopi getting her parents picture out instead of hiding it in a cupboard...in fact the last time Gopi's bday was celebrated I was surprised that Gopi did not remember her parents at all!!!šŸ˜•...I guess the CVs were planning this since a long time šŸ˜†...so looks like that most wanted pic is going to remain hidden šŸ˜†
As far as Urmi and Jitubhai are concerned...I doubt if Urmi would have lied about Gopi's parents being dead...if it was so then why did she bring her father to MM? she would have wanted the truth to remain hidden. I had actually read in one of the spoilers that Urmi would try to hide this from Gopi. So was a little surprised to see Urmi actually bringing him to MM...
I was hoping that Gopi's parents would turn out to be frauds but then we saw in one of the offscreen segments that Jitubhai himself brings her father to Gopi šŸ˜•šŸ˜•šŸ˜•
I really am not looking forward to next week in SNS 😭

yeah you are absolutely right... but in real life miracles are rare and even if they happen really you cannot expect more than 1 miracle of this magnitude in a lifetime! but in Gopi's case miracles keep happening with alarming regularity and that's giving us all a little indigestion you see šŸ˜†

Yes, I remember that I read a real story some time ago about a little boy who got lost in a train, then has been to orphanage, then was adopted by some family in Australia and he grew up there, and after many, many years he managed to find somehow his real parents in India using Internet and google-map (he was too small to remember the village where he lived). Finally he reunited with his mother who was all this time convinced that he is dead. Very moving story.

its just a drama and dramas are more or less fantasy as amarapali gupta aka tannu from qubool hai said she said things that happen in serials are very rare that they happen in real life
