Devoleena Thanks Fans For Accepting Her As Gopi

Devoleena Bhattacharjee who plays Gopi in Star Plus' Saath Nibhana Saathiya is a multifaceted personality. No wonder apart from acting, she would love to take part in singing and dancing reality shows as well. "I am good in both crafts, whenever I do any interview, I am always asked to croon."

On the current crop of reality shows, this Bengali hottie from Assam says, "I love Bigg Boss. Though I have not been able to follow more than one episode but I would surely try to find time to check it out. I also like Sa Re Ga Ma Pa."

Here… Devoleena informs that when not an actor, she used to follow non-fiction formats.

"The only drama I would regularly follow during my school and college days was Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi."

Later…did she not watch her show Saath Nibhana, "It was early evening so I would be busy in classes."

Furthermore, Devoleena is very thankful to her fans for accepting her in place of Giaa Maanek (whom she replaced in the show). "The higher ratings (from 3.5 to 3.9 TVR) are proof of the same."

A relieved Devoleena confesses, "At first I was worried if I can win the fans' hearts, but everything has been easy. The channel and creatives also helped a lot by letting me play the character my way."

In closing…we ask her whether woman like Gopi exist in the society? "Yes… they do… hence we make such shows. You will be surprised to know that most of our fans are young teenagers. And they hope that their bhabhi is someone like Gopi." So what kind of wife would you be in real life? "A very devoted one to my husband and family, but yes I will not be clad in saris 24*7," she ends.
