I've had girl cousins married off at early ages, even though their brothers had the opportunity of going to school, pursuing their careers. That's not enough however. There's plenty left to do. 😃

ave seen that too, few girls getting married at an early age
Nt to frgt to mention my oqn aunt married age of 17/18..
Thank god this all dnt exist in my family now than it used to 19/20 yrs back

Case 1: Mohd Nazim:

he is doing a punjabi movie.. not any TV reality show in a rival channel and his obscene photos .. i think no one would make a comment on those and highlight them.,. instead they would let them die their natural death .. people almost forgot ..

Case 2: Barun Sobti:

He was once again doing a movie and not a show on the rival channel...so they adjusted his dates and changed the script.. it solely depends on the relation between the PH and the actor ..there were many actors who did movies ..while acting in a serial.. Prerna.,.Parvati ,. they all acted in movies by still being the lead role in their shows..

Case 3:

well we have discussed this many many many times .. i have nothing to say here...

the only thing is each actor will be given a separate set of clauses in their contract . there will be a clause for bollywood movies.. a clause for regional movies and a clause for the actor's participation in a reality shows on the channels of the SAME consortium and also a clause for the actor's participation in a reality shows on the channels of the RIVAL consortium

-hope i did not show any sarcasm or bash anyone.. these are my views as per my logic...

Rupal Patel was in jdj too but then I guess the CEO of sp will say it was not like she was participating or may be for that epi he believes it was his channel and not colors. Rashmi Sharma has another serial on colors in direct competition with star plus. These are games dear that they play and will play till they get away with them and people like us will see the whitewashed version. There are contracts but those contracts can be twisted for the CEO s convinience.

After a good night s sleep am back . Not going to talk about the tv actors but about normal gender bias. India thankfully is changing now.

My grand mother was the youngest daughter and she was never treated well. So in turn she made sure my mom and masi suffered while her sons enjoyed. When i was small i used to think that yes my mom was biased towards my brother but now i think its the opposite. I have been given atleast 5times more freedom than my brother. My mistakes are forgiven while his are not. All the important decisions in my family or my dad s side are taken by women.

My friends dad allowed his daughter to get married according to her choice while his son cant.

Today s middle class families have all realized that a son is a son till he gets a wife but a daughter is a daughter all her life.

On the professional front i guess gender bias must exist but nowadays women are finding ways to overcome it. Women are more multitasking and let s admit it we are more gifted than men 😛. If something has to be changed its the mind set up of rural india and particularly some cultures where women have absolutely no say..education is an important weapon and also exposure to the world. I think the next generation when they grow up the gender bias will be hopefully a thing of the past

Vibha yes a lot has changed my dear and we have a long way to go. The realisation has started in certain section of the society but if you remember the first episode of Satyamev Jayate, it was observed that the educated class was a party to large extent of female foetus homicide. We had all praised Aamir khan for bringing forth such a topic. Today if an ordinary person like me says Gender Bias exists then we all are claiming we have improved so much over the last generation. I ask is this enough?

Nothing can be enough ever. I can give you an example. Remember the molestation case which just happened some weeks back. There is another equally important case - a boy was murdered in a train going from assam to delhi. The boy s luggage including his degree certificates were stolen he got down reported it but then went missing for days. Later his body was found without the head. The reporters just casually had a report of assam student killed . Noone knows about this incident its not high profile at all while his family is still fighting for justice.

The problem is if something happens to a women half of the society blames her for it while if a man is the victim then he is the victim. The gender bias does not lie in the eye s of the parents of the child or i guess even the employers its the ridiculous society who poke their nose in everything. If a girl is roaming late in the night then she is called names while a man is allowed to do that without a second thought.if a girl flirts with men then she is automatically a s**t while a man is a player or a cassanova. All girls want to tame bad boys but no boy would want a bad girl. This is the actual gender bias which should be eliminated . I guess this might be happening in other parts of the world as well.

Vibha my heart goes for the parents who lost their son. Crime is rampant in India. Loss of life male or female child is heart breaking. Here we are confusing a criminal act with a socio economic issue.

Do not give me an argument that if a man losses his life no one is bothered.

my argument is not that if a man loses his life no one is bothered. My argument is news about women against women for women sell.that is the bias...facts are twisted accordingly. You and me wont have a gender bias but its created for people s benefit. A few years back there was a famous rape case a reputed news paper never took the victim s name but two days later her real name and photo was splashed all over the news channels. The news paper then printed a statement that they would use the girl s real name. My argument is that a gender bias exists but its more to degrade a woman and milk some sympathy by the people other wise they would not even be bothered about the same crimes and atrocities...a widow in her 50 s who wears colourful clothes eat s non veg is called all sorts of names is nt this gender bias while a man could easily marry some other woman even if he was 60???

I remember the media going all over and discussing and trying to find out and punish the criminals in cases like.. shivani bhatnagar, jessica lal, Aarushi talwar...naina sahni ( the tandoor case)

Rizwanur Rehman was killed for marrying a top notch businessman's hindu daughter... did the story get the equal coverage on the media as the above listed cases where the victim is a woman...

the media - i feel pathetic.. they try to garner ratings and weave a story and show it on prime time as only these stories get the audience to watch it..

while Rizwanur rehman's (male) news get a coverage for 5 minutes @11:30 am/pm ..

yes the media is completely biased and so are the audience.. if the victim is female .they watch it.. the media try to cash in on her death which is pathetic .. disgusting and horrendous... and on the other hand if the victim is male - there is less coverage and less news..

the media is biased and is cashing in on the death of a female victim 🤢

though not related to the topic.. i thought of sharing these bits here.. hope you don't mind...

^^ i agree. Long back there was a bollywood actor who was accused of molesting a girl he was bestfriends with another actor who had political backup the article was printed in page 4 or 5 the victim never came forward. I never read anything about it after.

A very famous and talented bollywood actor was sent to jail when the victim came forward. The person was never defended properly. He was pronounced guilty even before the trial...

Another actress was caught in a sex scandal she just did small roles in famous movies. The news channels kept playing this the entire day. We must have watched those movies so many times but dont remember the actress in question the media played her clips the entire day.

This is the bias. Why dint actor no one get any punishment???? He should have been sent to jail 😡
