I haven't seen today's episode yet but I was able to catch up on Friday's episode. The way she emitted being hurt by Ahem's words and the way she jumped to defend Gopi and her unborn child were extremely touching.

At first I also wondered why she got so angry at Ahem that she took Gopi away from him. It seemed extreme but then I realized something... did Ahem in that moment remind her of Parag? Did she suddenly get tensed because she had a feeling that Ahem would turn his back the same way Parag had done in the past? Remember in Friday's episode she told Ahem that if she could raise her children on her own, then she can raise her grandchild as well. When she said that, you could notice Parag become a little uneasy and guilty looking.

@Bold. .What an awesome take👏
So true.. Did Koki see Parag in Ahem when he said he did not want the responsibility of a child? How frightening for Koki to see the past come back and haunt her again and this time with the added burden that the person who would suffer will be Gopi, a girl who is not as strong as Kokila Modi was..
Amazing.. The play of emotions and feelings.. A superb take⭐️

@Bold, this is a very big possibility and judging by Parag's guilty look and his free minded outlook on life I wouldn't be surprised to hear that Parag took this exact stand that Ahem was taking making Koki take responsibility of her children and became the way she is with Parag.

So true Shilpa.. And can we blame Koki for being this way?
A father who decides that responsibilities are too much of a burden.. Whatever the reason.. For Parag, it may have been his poetry and for Ahem it is his possessiveness and selfishness.. But are their actions justified?
How hard is it for a woman to maintain her dignity in a house where her husband contributes nothing much.. It is easy to say that he is pursuing his dream but at what cost?
Those who want that will and should make a conscious decision not to involve other lives in their life.. If not dreams are broken, spirits turn bitter.. Nothing like a dream that breaks.. Especially about a life partner..😕
And now the way Ahem took his frustration on Gopi!! He may not have meant those words but those feelings were there somewhere in his heart and those came out in the moment of anger. Whatever his regret, he is guilty of thinking only about himself and his needs when another life is involved.
I think Koki is justified in her anger and her actions😊

Just have to say that I loved each of the comments you all had to make!!

Kokila's character for me has had an amazing journey from the first time we saw her to now. She's always been a strong character with strong opinions to match but the way in which she has changed as a mother has been amazing. Her love for Gopi has brought new dimensions to her. Ahem has always been the one she has trusted, felt the closest to and had the most love for and although she has scolded him and been disappointed with him in the past it has usually been behind closed walls. This act by Koki was needed for Ahem to realise exactly what is important in life and it is exactly the correct moment for Koki to do it. The new found closeness between Gopi and Ahem is going to make the separation unbearable for Ahem and force him to think deeply about his actions.
Ahem may have fallen in love but he needs a big kick up his bum to get him out of his complacency and force him to think about things as they relate to the wider picture rather than just him.

Awww that's so sweet!!
I always think I'll have more time at the weekend but it's never the case!! And today my mum disappeared all day because her sister came over for a night so they were out and about!!
But I thought I'd check in tonight! Even if it is way past bedtime!!

Shilpa, I agree with you, Kokila Parag Modi is a just and sound woman. She will not let her dikra, torture her daughter in law.
Behind the stern exterior, there lies a beautiful mother who wants only the best for her children.
Oh Kokila Parag Modi, let all mother in law's be like you.

Well, the timing for the separation is just right - Ahem with his newfound love will squirm a lot and this is a great punishment for him.
But then, Kokila doesn't read Swasthi's 'Ahem and Love', right?😉 Isn't she a bit late in looking for justice and better treatment for her DIL? I mean off late Ahem has been way better than he was in his first year (I haven't seen those episodes but heard enough on this forum) and nobody (including Koki) said anything then. That makes me think that maybe Koki loves Gopi more because of her pregnancy.
