Well, caught up with the last 2 episode's live updates and posts. Also, saw the new promo.
I completely sympathize with Ahem at the moment. If he feels he's not ready, it means he's not ready and great that he's letting it out (as per the article). And neither is Gopi - seriously, the girl is delusional as she trusts Rashi and not Ahem, has no confidence and is still a child-woman. But the way CV'sare portraying pregnancy is so distorted - nothing is stopping Ahem from getting close to Gopi (except a little nausea) and all that sleeping separately is plain silly.
Since it's indian soap, I don't think his outburst will serve any purpose as such (no abortion for sure) except create more mess and more misunderstandings between Gohem. I hope the CV's handle it in matured way - the way they handled Hopi revelation to Ahem. I don't think he will even suggest abortion - he might just explode over something and admit he's not ready before everyone causing a lot of heartburn for Gopi / Koki.
I also don't understand what's the resolution for this track - except Ahem's acceptance or compromise. I mean with Anita / batwara /separation, there was always a logical end to the track. What's the end for this one? It's a point of no return unless Rashi or nature plays a bad trick.
What do you guys think - where is it headed?? Also, how long will this track last - I hope they don't drag it for the entire pregnancy (which by SNS calendar would last for an year as least - i.e. is SNS stays for that long)

In real life Ahem would be able to say something like that to his family without it being a big drama!
But this is serial land so it'll be a big thing!! Dhamaka!!
My friend's fiancee got pregnant and they'd been together for three years and he was really happy about the baby but as he started getting a little knowledge ie realising how much life would change and how much that baby would depend on him he started to stress out. So he told his friends how under prepared he was and that he needed more time. His fiancee understood as well when he finally got round to telling her.
Being a parent is a big deal!! And I'm glad that SNS are showing the doubts that a guy could have. It's not like he wants to get rid of the baby. More than anything he's doubting himself!!

I think that at this point both Gopi and Ahem can help each other. If Ahem just tells her that he wants to spend more time with her and that he's not ready mentally to be a father, I'm sure Gopi will understand that. Even yesterday, Gopi had said that she just wants Ahem to be happy, so if the baby is causing him to be fidgety, I'm sure she can help him through this. Ahem, on the other hand, also has to reassure Gopi of his feelings. I feel like that once he reassures her, he'll also reassure himself that he won't be the only parent to the baby and that, Gopi will be there with him every step of the way. It's like killing two birds with one stone.

I agree that an outburst will not do anything, but if that gets Ahem's feelings out, then I'm sure the ball will get rolling towards a resolution.

From the precap, it looks like Ahem is irritated that his laptop broke (I would be too! Kids!) I think he'll want to yell at her, but he won't. Gopi might apologize, but I think she'll be terrified first because she's been there before--with him being angry at her for ruining his laptop (when she washed it). At the same time, however, I remember what that elder employee told Ahem. He needs to spend more time with his wife. Will he listen? He knows that his employee is right because even he feels that way. It all boils down to the extent that Ahem is willing to make himself vulnerable. The more he lets out, the vulnerable he feels and I think he's not comfortable with sharing his feelings with Gopi yet. (Remember, he hid the rose from her) He's more comfortable sharing his feelings when he knows she won't know and when she's not aware of it.

Sorry for the long-winded answer! I hope you feel better Ruchi! Congratulations!

I got an idea where this storyline could go. I have the 'perfect' direction for it. For Ahem to come to terms as a man and for Gopi to realise her self respect and dignity. Pm me if you would like to know.

I feel for Ahem too. Him and Gopi barely get to spend time together. Everyone is always talking about the baby. I was hoping when Gopi would go the doctor they would find it out it was just false alarm...and she just had food poisoning or something. They don't even share their feelings with each other, how are they gonna be parents?😕 Not just that, they did it before the actual confession, while he was under the influence of bhaang and didn't even remember doing it😕 This just wasn't the right time for the pregnancy track...but oh well too late to change the track now.

Like u said, it's an indian show...so def no abortion. I think ur right...Ahem will just have an outburst...and once he lets out all of his feelings, him and Gopi will work things out. Just hope they don't drag it for too long.

Great post.

I don't understand why Gopi isn't taking anything for the nausea if it's that bad? Did no one think about this? Anyways I digress...

I think Ahem's process seems so natural, and it's interesting to see this in an Indian drama since most of the focus is usually put on the woman. He went from being really confused, to happy, to loving, to concerned, and now annoyed and jealous (when he wants Gopi to himself, he realizes he's going to have to share).

This track is good to see. It actually mirrors what many couples go through. OK maybe they don't have the doubting love element but so many couples go through weird adjusting periods when they first get pregnant.
And in many cases especially in arranged marriages girls are pregnant before any deep relationship with their husbands can be formed. At least Gopi knows Ahem and Ahem knows Gopi.
The CVs will have devised something good that will come out of all this angst.
