The realisation of what would have happened to his Gopi angered Ahem to no end.
He was disgusted and appalled by Anita's behaviour against his Gopi. He swiftly brought his closure and guilt of his past to an end by losing every shred of remaining respect had for Anita. He reverberated clearly that he was not in love with her but was happy with Gopi.
His revelation brought much relief, excitement and pleasure in the faces of his family, leaving Gopi awestruck. His raging anger, vehement words in his emotionally packed speech left Ahem charged with renewed energy.
For the first time with these words said, he felt clarity in his mind, enough to even hold Gopi's hand as she handed him the book he angrily threw on the floor. He looked on at her with reverence and felt he needed to explain his thoughts of the past. Gopi's response astounded him, leaving him awestruck.
He wanted nothing to do with the departure of Anita but with Gopi's simple understanding of the world he was left thinking that perhaps something has to be done, but what?
This day is not over yet. There is the final part to it. How will it resolve itself?
