Good Vs Evil

I would like to relook into this age old comparison of Good Vs Evil. This is a strange game where the winner is always one...the good. Evil can never win over Good. The reasons for this is very simple..

1. Good has nothing to fear for they have not done anything wrong that might be caught
2. Good has nothing to loose because they do not expect anything from their acts.
3. Good endures suffering for they know patience is the weapon.
4. Good enjoys small gifts that life throws at them for they do not expect what is not theirs.
5. Good always stand by what is true for they know nobody can deny it.

Gopi and the Good.

1. Gopi never does any mistake knowingly. Even if she does unknowingly, she has immense moral strenght to accept the mistake. That is the reason she always have pleasant feelings towards others. Only fear makes you do wrong things. In Gandhiji's words 'Where there is fear there is Violence'.

2. Gopi never does anything to gain. She is selfless and does her duty. That is the reason she will not get upset when she does not recieve. The momentary disatisfaction that hit them dissolves in immense ocean of selflessness.

3. Gopi's biggest weapon is her patience. She know only patience and love can win over her husband because these two never harm anybody. A stone has to endure so much pain to getitself a shape that can hold water. Gopi endured everything from Ahem to get his love and now she holds his heart in hers. Never ever did she loose her self respect in the process. She never went to Ahem begging for love. She did her duties as wife and left everything for time.

4. Gopi always enjoyed simple pleasures that life threw at her. She never expected anything that was not hers. She was devastated when Ahem wanted to send her out from his life a year ago. She accepted and never begged to be back because she knows she can never get anything which was not hers.

5. Gopi stands by truth. She is now the phase of knowing the truth. That is the reason for her insecurities. Love brings negative emotions like possessiveness and jealousy. She is presently fighting them and hence recieving the pain. She is not sure whether her husband truly loves her or not. She is feeling dettached from his love. But once she gets a hint of the truth that Ahem loves only her, she will stand by it and there stars her path to victory. Nobody can deny her status as Ahem's wife and his love. She will fight for truth and wins in the end because 'Truth prevails'

Rashi/Anitha and the evil.

1. Even they get momentary success, they always live in fear that oneday they will get exposed. Rashi lives in constant fear of CD getting exposed. Anitha lives in fear that if Ahem knows the truth, she can never ever face him in his life. They dont have mental peace which make them to commit mistakes again and fear again. It is viscious cycle you know.

2. They do things with some motive. If they do not achieve, they will become restless and again plan for something to get momentary happiness. They again fall in point number 1. above.

3. They cannot endure slight discomfort and immediately find ways to set things right by hook or crook. They are several things Rashi out of her impatience which always landed her in troubles.

4. Their goal is always materialistic things which are easy to get and easy to loose. In the process they do not enjoy the precious things in their life. Rashi has wonderful husband who loves her. But, pity on her she always looks other than him. Anitha lost an opportunity today to get a family out of her stupidity. Life may not give her another chance. Here starts her suffering going behind something (Ahem) which is never hers.

5. They always lie to cover their misdeeds but when truth comes before them, they wil be hit hard, hard enough that it might take a life time to recover. All their momentary successes vanish in this tsunami called truth. Anitha is going to face the truth in the form of Gopi. She will see Gopi's strength when she starts protecting her marriage and her husband. Evil people are cowards, they blabber infront of everybody but when they face the real opponent, they folds their tails in thier legs and run away. 😆

Rashi and Anitha in the process of getting momentary sucesses lost their self - respect. They have stooped low in their lives.

So, for those who think Gopi is suffering, I say Gopi is fighting with kanahji beside her. She will definitely win and this time a big win.

PS: A long philosophical rant. I wonder, a fictional character makes you to analyze life's greatest morals. See we can get enlightened by seeing Soaps also. 😛

If only Ahem was able to put his feelings into words. .. just as he cud at the drop of a hat do in the dark days lol. . . Gopi does not know what he really feels for her. . whenever she has thought it was love. . life has lways landed her in a heap of problems and hurt. . . ONce Ahem makes it crystal clear to her. .. . enough of actions. . sometimes words are needed. . more than ever. . . GOpi will take a stand and will never back down. . . even if that means grabbing Anita by her hair and beating the hell out of her. . Gopi will do it. . .

Evil stands no chance. . but in SNS the hope that evil gets close to justified punishment is rather low lol. . . so I wont have any hopes up for that. . . but I am sure they will lose eventually

I love to see a positive Rashi . . but she today proved that she is still same old self. . saving her own skin . .and the way to do that willingly or unwillingly is help Gopi. . and sees only material benefits and greed . . .as you put as well. . Anita will land in a scrap heap anyway. . . but I got a feeling that Nilesh will have a rethink coz Anita's words might haev a reverse effect. . .he was angry but if he things agani/ gets to know the reality behind wedding breakk. . he will know that Anita's anger, , ,even if it was pretense by Anita . . that anger was justified adn nilesh was wrong. . so Anita might actually get a gud ending as well out of this. . . Anita will be on her knees begging for mercy .. . in a worse than pitiful state. . . Rashi will still be faking that she really wanted to help out and will pretend that all her help was genuine and from the heart. . whoknows though. . . they might be let off with a very tiny punishment yet again. . .I hopenot. . Urshi need to pay . . . BIG TIME. . thats when i will get some peace of mind. .

Since this is a TV show good will triumph over evil, but real life is not like that. Which is fine because the Modi bahus don't have a life outside of their daily chores anyway. Gopi would not survive in real life, and people would keep manipulating and walking all over her. I think Gopi is good but very dumb, good doesn't necessarily have to be dumb. Unfortunately our TV shows depict sometimes that good is being a martyr for the family. Eg. Toasty in SBS.

I do not think Gopi indulges in self pity at all. She cries, no doubt but the girl worries for everybody else and does not think about herself.

She cries for being the reason for the other's sadness because she has been brought up to believe that she brings only sadness and is unlucky.

Before blaming her for not speaking up we need to understand the girl's upbringing. She has been manipulated, beaten, scolded especially to make sure that she does not rebel. She cannot stand up to herself because of the very fact and that is what is being changed in the coming track. ow do you expect a 20 year submission to end in 6 months?

Gopi stands by her principles. She also protects the people she loves because she is afraid of losing them. She is an orphan and that is all the relations she has in the world.. She fights for them, hides and helps when she thinks that they were making a mistake and are repenting it.

Her intelligence is visible a lot of times. She is just a sucker for relations and other humans. That does not make her dumb. Plus it is obvious that this is reel and there can be no Gopi in real life but there are shades of Gopi in a lot of people and that is people connect with her goodness.

A lot of woman BTW are martyrs.. The extent varies. Not everyone is lucky to have a great family, good relations. There are women who fight everyday and they cry.. Crying does not make them weak. It is an emotion that some use as an outlet just like anger, frustration.. Crying is not weakness. And at no time except for Holi has Gopi cried for herself. Even yesterday her tears were for Ahem and his broken dreams.. My PoV.. 😊

For me, Gopi is a iron lady. :)

She is not a door mat at all. She is a woman with self-respect. Not even once she begged Ahem for his love or concern. Even now she will never beg anything for she has only immense love to give it to everyone around her.

I reiterate, a girl who works on her marriage with patience and compromise is NOT a doormat. Doormats are people like Anitha, who even when they are shown their place come clinging to the back without selfrespect. Just yelling at somebody and fighting like mad does not mean individuality. Gopi is silently fighting with herself and her fate. That does not mean that she is a doormat. She cries out to ease her pain and she shares her insecurities in the process to her best friend...that is kanahji.
