Part 2: As the night continues

Gopi: Oh, Sorry Ahemji. Please come in.

Ahem looks around. There isn't much to the room. Only a bed and a little cupboard thing where I think she puts her clothes in.

Gopi is nervous and is looking everywhere except at Ahem. Ahem gave her a "whats the matter?" look and curiousness got to the best of her.

Gopi: Ahemji, you... you say something?

There is suddenly a knock on the door. It was mamaji who had woken up to get water in the middle of the night when he heard something in Gopi's room.

Mamaji: Gopi, are you ok? Why are you still up?

Gopi gets frightened. Oh no! Mama ji is up and Ahem ji didn't want to wake up anyone. Now both of them are going to be mad at me.

Seeing a frightened Gopi, Ahem bends down and whispers in her ear,

Ahem: tell Mamaji that you just finished and that you are going to sleep now. Then turn off the lights.

Gopi looks up with a confused face. He's not mad at me, Gopi thought. Ahem nodded his head in agreement as to tell her to do as he says.

Gopi: Mamaji I'm fine. I'm just about to go to sleep. You don't worry yourself. I'm going to turn off the lights now.

Mamaji: Ok beta. Goodnight and off Mama leaves but with a smile on his face. He had saw through the window when Ahem had come and how he went up the stairs to Gopi's room. The boy has changed. He does love his niece a lot. I hope they get all happiness in their life. With that, Mama goes off to bed.

Ahem in a whisper: I don't think I can tell you what I came to tell you without the house waking up. Mom told me to pick you up in the morning. If you don't have any plans in the morning, we can go somewhere private to talk.

Gopi: But Ahemji, you have a meeting tomorrow morning. You said it was very important.

Ahem chuckes: Yes, it is important. That meeting was with you. I was going to surprise you but you ran off here before I was able to tell you when I came back from work.

Ahem notices a slight blush in Gopi's checks. Oh god she looks so beautiful. I cant believe I never noticed how beautiful she was, and not only from the outside, but from the inside out her beauty is blows my mind away.

Gopi: Oh... uhh... I don't have any plans, but I should talk with Maaji before I come with you.

Ahem: Don't worry, I already told Mom that I was going to take you out. But are you ok with coming with me?

Gopi looks up in surprise. This is probably one of the only times he asked me about my feelings. This makes her blush a bit more. She nods her head in agreement.

Gopi: You should go before Maaji gets worried. She maybe waiting up for you. You should go.

This girl always thinks about his mom. It makes me wonder if she loves my mom more than me. Of the words that come out of her mouth, half of it is Maaji. I should really do something to make my name come out of her mouth more often. Talking about her lips. They look heavenly. I wonder how they taste. Oh no, not now. She just started talking to me without hesitance. I don't want to scare her away.

Ahem then hears Gopi chuckle softly. I wonder what she's laughing about.

Ahem: What's so funny?

Gopi looks down. oh no, he's going to get mad for laughing at him.

Ahem notices how her happy smiling face turned into sorrow. This is what I've done to her. I can even let her be happy for even 5 seconds. I hope after talking to her tomorrow, everything will be changed.

Ahem holds her hand like he did when he gave her assurance when trying to save Rashi.

Ahem: Gopi, I want you to promise me something. Will you do that for me?

Gopi: Sure Ahem ji, whatever you want.

Ahem: I want you to promise to tell me whenever I say or do something that will upset you. I'm not perfect, but I'm willing to learn. If there is something I do or say, I will try to change myself so I don't hurt you. I want to get back to you about this, but for now, can you tell me why you laughed?

Gopi looks surprised again. He wants to know how I feel and is willing to change if I don't like something. How can I not like something he does. Even if he is angry, it makes him look kinda hot. Oh my I have such bad thoughts.

Gopi gets out of her thoughts when she hears Ahem chuckle. She looks at him with a confused look.

Ahem: You want to know why I laughed?

Gopi nods her head

Ahem: Well, you still haven't answered my question, so I won't tell you till you say why you laughed.

Gopi says quietly: When you were thinking, you made a funny face. That is why I laughed. I am sorry Ahem ji. I won't do this again. Please don't get angry.

Ahem: Hold on Gopi. Why are you saying sorry for. You didn't do anything bad. It is human's nature to laugh when they find something funny. To tell you the truth, I laughed because you had a funny face as well.

Both look at each other and smile. Both just admiring each other, wishing that this moment doesn't have to end. But Gopi ends the silence.

Gopi: Ahemji, I really think you should go back home. Maa ji is going to be worried.

Ahem: Can I tell you a secret Gopi?

Gopi nods her head

Ahem: Well, I didn't technically tell Mom that I was coming here. I snuck out of the house. Don't worry, I made the pillows look like a person is sleeping in my room.

Gopi looks at Ahem with amusement. Ahem ji is surprising me by the minute.

Ahem: But I should be going. I don't want your mama to wake up again.

He moves towards the back door and Gopi follows him to lock the door. But before he leaves, he turns around and lightly kisses Gopi on the cheek and says

Ahem: Goodnight Mrs. Gopi Ahem Modi. Don't forget I'll be here early to pick you up

He winks at her before he leaves.

Gopi looks shocked. Did he just kiss me. Gopi blushes and smiles. She locks the door and goes back to bed thinking about what had just happened. She gets comfortable in bed when she hears a knock on the very door her Ahem ji just went through a few minutes ago.

I wonder who that may be.
