Part 3
After winding up the kitchen, Gopi came upstairs to her room and saw Ahem sitting on the bed working on his laptop. She entered the room tired after day's work and looking after her Ahemji. He had recovered from his fever and had become normal after a full day's rest in the comforts of their room and her constant care and attention.
She went close to the bed and asked him whether he needed anything. He didn't look up as if he was really busy in doing something. She went to the washroom and changed her night saree.
It was 10:30pm, time to sleep and she moved to the bed and stood there. She was figuring out on how to sleep when Ahem was working there. Maybe Ahemji had just lost the track of time having slept half of the day. She thought of not disturbing him and looked sidewards only to find that couch was also missing from there.
She was confused and perplexed at what to do and where to sleep. Ahem looked up at her standing there in confusion, "Gopi! What happened? Why are you standing like this? What are you thinking?"
"Ji Ahemji! Nothing...I was just thinking to sleep. But you are working so I don't want to disturb you. Where has the couch gone? I am not able to see that?" she asked looking puzzled.
"Couch? I have moved it back to the store room. I had started getting backache due to it so I thought better to sleep on bed from now on." He replied her plainly.
"Ahemji, but I could have slept on the couch..."
"Why? Do you want backache? I don't want to put you in problem." He interrupted her.
She nodded her head and silently picked the pillow and a sheet from the bed.
"What are you going to do with that?" Ahem asked her looking mysterious.
"Ji! I will sleep on the floor. I am perfectly fine with it and now when the weather also has changed. You can comfortably sleep on the bed." She replied as naively as ever.
"Okai fine as you wish. I thought two people can easily sleep here on the bed. But if you want to sleep on the floor it's up to you to decide that. But maybe one or two cockroaches might come and befriend you and play with you in the night." He smirked at her trying to hide his smile.
She turned almost white hearing about cockroaches and kept the pillow and sheet back on the bed. "No Ahemji! I cannot sleep on the floor. I will sleep on the bed only." She didn't wait for his approval and sat down on the bed in no time keeping her feet up on the bed.
He was looking amused at her reaction. Gopi I won't let you put yourself in trouble anymore for my or anyone else's sake! This is my promise to you and to me from here on. I am going to be by your side forever and will see to it that you get the best in life. I have done enough to you and now I will do more than enough always to see that what I have done would be undone in your life. Thanks for being there always. Even when I didn't appreciate you, you always stood like a pillar by my side! Now it's my turn to become a foundation on which our pillar of trust and love created by you would stand forever!

Thank you guys for the support you have given me. I want Ahem to see through the past without letting her know what's going on in his mind. She also underwent all the pain and craving silently without showing it to him at any point of time. It is his turn to silently see and observe what she has gone through and feel the pain and then make everything to be the best for her, bringing ease and an element of fun in their life and love that she always wanted, which he has started longing and craving for now! But having said so he would have to bear the pain he has caused her for he cannot change it so only way is to feel it as he cannot just have it easily. There is always give and take for everything I believe very strongly and he is yet to deal with his wrongdoings though intentional or unintentional.
This would be his true repentance to undo everything what he did without ever giving her a single moment of pain and healing her with his touch for only he has got the power and responsibility to do that.
