OS: Fallen faces

The newly found lovers came down to dinner at the same time and were noticed by the family except Rashi who was in the kitchen doing her last bits of decorations on the dishes she prepared with the help of Hetal. Ahem took his place at the table and Gopi went in to help Rashi to bring the plates and dishes but Rashi told her to only take the plates and lay them as she will do the rest and then later she can help serve. Gopi did as told and went to lay out the plates but avoided glancing at Ahem as she felt his gaze on her and she does not want to show the effect he is having on her to the family. As she came to place his plates, he deliberately brush his hand on her thigh making her to jump and crashing the side plate to the floor.

" Gopi bahu what is this... where is your concentration...now go and bring another plate and ask Meethi to come and clean this mess and also tell Rashi if she intend on us starving for the night and what's taking her long to bring the food." " Woh Maaji Rashiben has cooked your favourite foods today and..." " Gopi why you lying" Rashi interrupted her and moved to put the food on the table. Gopi looked at the dishes in shocked as they were not her maaji's favourite but Kakiji, Jigarji and Kakaji's favourites. She looked from the dishes to Rashi with disbelieve and then looked down as she felt her maaji and Ahemji's eyes on her questioning. Then Rashi added "you see today I decided to cook Jigarji's favourite and papaji and then thought it's been long time mamiji favourite is not cooked so that's why." Everyone was unhappy and it was Jigar who spoke " Rashi why just us, why not the whole family, why the seggregation, why not Ahem bhai or kaka.kaki or even baa." "Woh Jigarji last night kakiji prepared Ahemjiju's favourite and we all ate that so why not yours." Jigar was about to argue more but it was Ahem who defused the situation and said "Jigar do not look at it that way and besides I like kakaji's dishes and mum and kaki have the same taste so let all eat." Gopi sense Kokila's displeasure at Ahem's interference but was quiet and thought it best but also was sketical as to why Rashi decided to cook motabhabi and family's favourite.

After dinner, all left for their room and only Rashi, Meethi and Gopi were left in the kitchen to clean up." Meethben you take rest as you had along day today and tomorrow will be a busy day for you as well." " Are you mad Gopi if she leaves who will clean up all this." " Rashiben you don't worry I will do it..." Rashi was about to leave when Gopi called her name making her turn " ...woh Rashiben why did you not cook maaji's favourites today" " Ohh that, Gopi I was going to but we do not have enough of the ingredients to cook kakaji's favourites that's why but I forgot to tell you but next time." She left a hurt Gopi who thought she lies to her maaji once again and hurt her in the process but what to do now. She continue with her work in silence

In Raji's room, Jigar was still not happy with her today and intended to clear his conscience and when she walked in smiling made him angry " Rashi can you tell me why you did what you have done and don't lie to me...last night you said you want to forget about the past and start a fresh so what was that at the dinner." " Jigarji I was going to cook kakiji favourite as well but the ingredients finished that why...you can ask mummyji...or" " Okay but do you have to cook maa and papa's today and why you call Gopi bhabi a liar." "Jigarji but she was lying to kakiji and I had to stop her." " Rashi she is Ahem bhai's wife and therefore deserves respect from you too and there are many way of correcting a mistake without calling them a liar...may be bhabi thought you prepared kaki's dishes and that's why...anyway next time talk to her with respect and remember through bhai, she is older to you...even if she is your sister." He ended and went to sleep

It took Gopi a long time to finish her chores and went up looking exhausted when she reached her room only to find Ahem lost in thoughts in front of his opened laptop. she came near him and lightly and nervously touched his shoulder bringing him to present and giving her a weak smile. "Ahemji are you okay...I mean you look stress...do you want any thing else" " Gopi to be honest with you am not happy with what happened at the dinner...I mean Rashi should not have done that as it looks bad and divided and the strength of this family has been the fact that we are united and it should stay that way...so explain this to Rashi and I will talk to Jigar." She only nodded and went to the wash room to change and knew that talking to her Rashiben is not to be as she saw they had enough ingredients to cook for maaji as well so why did she lie to her and why ask her to take her maaji out so that she can surprise her. There must be another explanation...may she had too much to cook. " Gopi do you intend on sleeping in the wash room." She quickly changed and went to the room and place all her jewllery on the drawer and saw that Ahem has shifted to the bed and now was in a dilema as where to sleep.

After what happened between them, Ahem had no intention of sleeping on the sofa any more and waited patiently for his wife to join him but smirk seeing her state of concern but did not move or say anything only enjoying her discomfort and what she intend on doing. " Ahemji...wow...do you need ...anything else..." He caressed her from top to bottom and top again with his eyes making her close her eyes and his mere look is sending her floating and licking her lips." Gopi! we need to sleep as there is puja here tomorrow so what are you waiting for." He said hoarsely as her action of licking her lips has turned him on and he knew they both are not ready for anything further but it's going to be hard not to give in to her luminious body. He opened his eyes when he heard a squick only to see her taking the sofa and was annoyed " don't you think I can sleep on the sofa but Gopi I thought after what transpired between us is our love for each other and I thought that may be by sharing the bed our discomfort will be reduced and slowly but sure we will be able to share our love in all respect...am not ready for the next stage but wil want you near me... sharing our bed but you can do what you feel is right and comfortable for you...and am not mad but will understand." He turn off the bed lamp on his side and waited, prayed and hoped she will join him.

Gopi sat on the sofa unable to move and not knowing what to do next...yes she loves her husband dearly and he is offering her place on the bed with him but she does not know how to reciprocate his open love for her. She got courage and went and switch off the bed side lamp on her side and slowly got to the edge of the bed and lay there quietly facing the window. Ahem smiled at her move and bid his time until he sense her even breath and proceeded towards her and moved her closer to him and kiss her on the forehead and slept hugging her.

The next day at the puja, all arrangements have been done and guest arrived and them the first pandit came followed by the second. All were shocked and both Hetal and Kokila looked at each other with disbelieve. " Motabhabi did you also call pandit but why when you know that I always handle that part." "Kokila I thought you did not call our pandit and when I tried calling him the line was busy and as many people will request pandit so ask him to come." " Hetal bahu you should have asked kokila first before calling another pandit but any way our puja will be more glorious having the two bandit here...isn't it ..." Baa intervene and both pandit agreed and the puja was a success leaving two fallen faces sulking at their failed kalakari.

After the puja, Hetal found Kokila in the kitchen putting things in the fridge " Kokila am sorry I should have consulted you and found out...my intention was not to hurt you and Rashi thought..." "Rashi! motabhabi we have lived together for 30 years and not once did we have any arguements and now you are being dictated by Rashi as to how to run the household..." " No kokila it not like that" " It is motabhabi...it is... you have easily forgotten what Rashi has done and now she is using you as a pound to bring feud between us...I know motabhabi whatever I tell you now you won't believe it...I have always respected you and has no problem if you want to take over the responsibilities of the house...but taking Rashi's help is wrong to trust her so easily...we have always stayed as one family and now thing have started to be split in two...first dinner,then puja ...what next lets see...anyway it was baa idea for me to run the house but if you want then I can hand it over to you..." "Why would you do that...Hetal bahu was wrong in bringing another pandit without our knowledge...if kokila is busy, then you could have consulted me...listen you two this family has been one and I want it like that and no repeat of these incidences...now both of you go to your room...it's late."

"Hetal how could you be so irresponsible, do not let this happen again...baa has handled today but let this not come up again and tell Rashi too."Chirag told her before going to bed leaving Hetal in tears for hurting her family and thought that they were all right...she let her emotions to take over her decisions and she should have consulted Koki first as she has never in the 30 years of marriage forgot to handle her responsibilities. I know where the root of the problem is now and intend on sorting it before it's too late...for her whole family and for her son's happiness...she need to put her in her place as a bahu and guide her.
