Oh i read it now. You should update the title and page no. Hmmm u dont know what u ve written Its just a story for u but it touched me.i agree that once a gal loves someone she might be with someone else have a peaceful existence make love to him have kids but her heart will always beat for the man she loved.great update!!

OMG ... That was quite a reunion of Ahem with Gopi.

Do update soon. What will happen next? So will their annullment be forfeited? Or is this too late? How will she overcome her situation.

Gopi rang the bell of her house and Ma opened it. Gopi entered with her eyes looking down, Ma asked her if something went wrong at work but all Gopi could say was no. Her mind was busy trying to understand the situation she is in. She always referred to the house as "our home", she loved the house and the fact that it was she who truly made the house a home after Rati's death. Now the house no longer feels like hers and she had already started viewing the house as Nalin's house.

Gopi almost slumped on the sofa and all the incidents that happened today played out in her mind. She knew that she had to make a choice but couldn't gather the courage to do it. Nalin is so good to her, Ma treated her as if she was her own daughter----and what about the kids? Chirpy Yash will be emotionally scarred and little Prachi will never forgive her- Never.

When she break the news to Nalin? how should she go about it? What if Nalin fails to cope with it? Death snatched away his Rati from him and now she is leaving him ...Gopi wondered whether she had any right to punish Nalin this way. What was his fault ? Is it his fault that he is a gentleman? Surely it isn't, then why is thinking of leaving him for a man whose behavior with her till now qualifies him to be called a jerk. Gopi decided against telling anything to Nalin as of now, she would cross the bridge when she comes to it.

The door bell rang and Yash started shouting Papa Papa...Gopi sat still as she wasn't in this world, she cme back to senses when Ma shook her and said Gopi are you ok?Why aren't you opening the door.?

Gopi nodded and did as she was told. Nalin smiled to her but her guilt didn't let her smile back. Nalin asked her if she is sick? she said no..Nalin's next sentence shook her - that's because he whispered in her ears- You better not be because you are going to be my post-dinner snack". He went inside flashing a devilish grin.

Gopi was far from being amused...she was overcome by a sense of dread. She was Ahem's only Ahem's, she won't let Nalin touch her...but how long can she run away from his touch? she has to do something soon.

Gopi talked very little at the dinner and then went into her room and tried to appear asleep. Nalin approached her and started to kiss her neck. Gopi didn't know what got into her- she pushed him away and shouted angrily " For heaven's sake Nalin control yourself, I am having a headache"

Nalin didn't know the reason behind her anger but tried to make light of the situation by remarking with mock sadness - " Oh! so now even my wife knows these excuses? Where did you pick it up from? Cosmopolitan ?" Nalin laughed aloud after saying this and pulled a blanket and went to sleep.

Gopi couldn't sleep. Her marital bed seemed to be made of thorns. Ahem had already messaged her four times urging her to stave off Nalin's advances and think of a plan to come to Rajkot soon.

Part - 12

Gopi smiled to herself as she took bath the next morning. She had discovered a hickey on her body and it reminded her of Ahem and his love. She touched the love-bite lovingly and started to dress up. She heard her phone ring- it was Ahem's call. He called to know about the decisions she made yesterday. Gopi refused to answer them as she was home. When she went out Nalin asked about the call.

Love just transforms people and Gopi was no exception, she had now perfected the art of telling lies. She told Nalin that it was a call from office telling that she must leave for Mumbai today in order to take care of a fashion show's preparation. She told Ma that she will be away for a week and then rushed to do the packing. She didn't tell the kids anything and once she was out she called her boss and informed him that she'll take a week off for personal reasons.

Her destination wasn't Mumbai as she told at home, It was Rajkot.. No,it wasn't even Rajkot ,her destination was Ahem.

Ahem's joy knew no bounds when he saw Gopi in Rajkot, he whisked her off in his car and took her to a resort. The journey was long but it was worth it and she didn't mind not going to MM because to her home is the place where Ahem is. She removed the sim from her phone to avoid being disturbed by her son and her son's father. Gopi no longer considered Nalin to be her husband, he was just the father of her kids.

Gopi called Nalin just once a day and spoke for a few minutes. Nalin did feel hurt but he rationalized her behavior by assumin that she is really busy.

Gopi and Ahem forgot the world and made love like long lost lovers. Ahem just loved the feel of her silken skin against his body. The week went by as if it was just a minute. While leaving for Bangalore, Gopi promised Ahem that she won't be away for long.

They met frequently and enjoyed the time they spent together. Days passed on and became months ...and one month she skipped her periods...Gopi had no doubt that the child was Ahem's so she was determined to keep it. She knew that she had to take a quick decision but she kept it a secret because she didn't want her kids to be hurt.

Gopi took good care of herself so that Aham's baby would be a healthy one... she admitted to herself that she loved the baby more than Yash and Prachi...but she didn't want to hurt them. Gopi knew that she must do something before the bump becomes visible but none of the options in front of her were acceptable to her...an opportunity came knocking when Nalin informed her that he has to go abroad for a year. Gopi appeared to be sad but in her mind had an idea.

Gopi had delayed informing Ahem about her pregnancy as she knew that he would throw good sense to the wind and take her away. She informed Ahem on the night Nalin left for U.S.A. Ahem was overjoyed and insisted that she come and stay with him. Gopi left her kids under her mother in law's care and left for Rajkot telling that she has to take care of her father's sister who is terminally ill.

On the day of her departure Prachi clung to Gopi and refused to let her go. Gopi was pained by this, she was afraid that Prachi might have sensed something. What Gopi was unaware of was that it wasn't just Prachi but also her Papa and Dadi who sensed something wrong. Nalin forbade his mother from questioning Gopi. He was too scared of facing the truth and hence went into a denial mode. Deep inside his heart even he knew that his wife was no longer his.

uuummm i dunno wt to say. the story is sure different n the title is wonderful

but i dont know bt i cant imagine gopi doiun this to her kids n family... i mean she has gone completely insane...wht abt her kids n nalin... also this illicit affair ... will it get appreciated by modis... the image of gopi as a dutiful n perfect d-i-l n wife wll b in tatterss...

why is she waking a sleeping monster that will destroy everything for her n ahem god he deserved pain n not gratification by gopi ...\

n gopi is she not guilt ridden at all... this momentary n selfish gratification i hv no words...

but

the story's great n i would love to see how it unfolds ,... keep updating

This is to all readers( please don't get offended Arista)

The story is my attempt to portray Gopi as a human being with feelings. My Gopi is not a saint, she is not immune to her feelings.

There would be no crimes of passion if there was no infidelity on earth. The moth gets attracted to the flame only to burn and die. Gopi is a sinner here , What she has done morally wrong but not legally wrong as she is still Ahem's wife. She was influenced by her elders into committing bigamy and she just tried to adapt herself to the new circumstances by burying her love.

Ahem hasn't divorced Gopi.Their marriage has not been annulled or declared void by court. This means that we are in a moral grey area.

I have read Tehmina Durrani's autobiography recently(I am not passing judgement on her) and it made me think of how mothers sometimes behave when they are in love. They want to protect their kids while trying to attain the love of their lives but sadly things don't go as planned.

Let's not forget that Ahem was Gopi's first love.

I dont know if i am evil but i dont find it wrong what she did. She loves ahem. She has loved him for years obviously ahem s kid will have more importance. Super like.

I share your views. This is the first time she took a decision about her life and it is a welcome break from seeing everyone impose their decisions on her.

Kokila took the decision to marry her to Ahem ( she didn't ask her opinion ) and in this story Hetal takes a decision to get her remarried( her intentions were noble but Gopi wasn't given a choice)
