Korag chapter 3...
Chirag had just finished his meeting with his investigator and was stumped. The PI had just informed Chirag that his brother was indeed still in Rajkot and he had set up house with a woman named Mangla. Now it was Chirag's job to break the news to Koki and watch her heart break in a million pieces all over again. The first thing he did was call Hetal and tell her what he had learned. The second thing he did was go and visit his brother and find out how long has all this been going on. When he reached the address that his PI handed him...he knocked and waited. A woman about the same age as Koki answered and looked at him shocked. She said "Parag bhai aap yahaan?" He knew she was quite aware of him and his family. Which meant she knew about Koki. With all the patience and courage he could muster Chirag asked her to let Parag know he was here and that they needed to talk. Mangla asked him in and Chirag refused. He said I will wait outside on the swing...
Chirag was sitting on the swing lost in thoughts of how he was going to tell Koki all this and worse how he was going to handle his brother. Parag came to Chirag and said "Bhai app yahaan?" Chirag ignored the question and asked Parag what he was doing here instead of his poetry convention in Mumbai and who was this woman who answered the door? Parag said you already know all this so what is the use of asking? Chirag lost his temper and said how dare he do this to Koki? How dare he betray his own children and insult the family name? Parag said I did not do any such thing. I make sure Koki has everything and the children have my name. I also spend as much time with my children and Koki as possible. But I cannot help if I fell in love with Mangla. We met at an poetry convention eleven years back and tried for a year to forget each other but found it was not possible. So you tell me Bhai, should I have divorced Koki and throw her out on the streets or do as I have done? This way we are both happy and we both get to live our lives with respect. Chirag was shocked by his brothers cavalier attitude. He wanted to shake Parag and knock some sense into him. All Chirag did was ask Parag did you even think how I came to know about your other life? Parag said no but that was my next question. Then Chirag told him how Koki had spotted him at the store buying saree for his lover. Parag got the shock this time and dropped on the swing next to his brother. Chirag then told him it was his responsibility to come home and tell his family about his living arrangements and Chirag would not allow him to continue this way anymore. Parag got really angry and said how dare you throw ultimatum at me? I am old enough to live my life as I see fit. No one owns me. I am the master of my own destiny. Chirag was really fuming now and grabbed Parag by the collar and said Koki is linked to your destiny and she did not ask for this. So now he is going to clean the mess he created. He told Parag to be home tonite after the kids have gone to sleep and then we can talk. Chirag left there with Parag fuming in rage at being told what to do. He mumbled to himself I am going to make Koki pay for putting me in this position. He turns to go home and sees Mangla standing there and she has heard everything that was said. She had tears in her eyes. Parag went to her and took her in his arms and said to not worry he would not let Koki or anyone from his family ruin their happy life they have built. Mangla with a crying face looked at Parag and said why does Koki hate me so much that she is out to ruin me? Parag said I will not let that happen. We will ruin her and her family's reputation before I let them anywhere near you. I promise you. He lifted Mangla's face to his face and kissed her on the lips and said I love you jaan. Forget all these useless people and lets get back to what we were doing!!! Mangla took Parag's hand and led him inside and shut the door...She was smirking while closing the door and thinking out loud...now watch how I make this idiot sign over all his money to me and then I will kick him out of my house as well. Till then I am going to have to put up with his sexual and emotional demands. Part one of my plan has worked. He stood up for me in front of his elder brother. Now for his wife and his Bhabhi and Baa. I will make Parag so lathoo for me that he will only see me and my needs and everyone else can go to hell. She shut the door and led Parag to the bedroom saying let me show you how much I love you...
At the Modi Bhavan Chirag came home and announced that Naniji was coming to take the kids to the amusement park. All three kids were jumping for joy. Ahem and Jigar said we will leave Kinjal with Nani and we both will hang out by ourselves. Chirag said OK as long as Nani knew where to find them. He handed the boys two cell phones with Nani's number in case they got lost. The boys ran to their room and got ready. Chirag had called Nani and explained what he found out and asked her to take the kids for the night and to take them to school the next morning. Nani who had known what was going on trusted Chirag to take care of her daughter and agreed to take the kids to keep them away from all this hungama. After the driver took the kids to Nani's house Chirag called Koki and Baa. He relayed everything he found out and what he did after wards. He told the family that Parag will be coming home tonite to talk about all this. After dinner was over the family were sitting on the sofa nervously waiting for Parag. When the bell rang Mota Bhabhi herself opened the door to see Parag and Mangla at the door. She asked them to come in. Chirag said I did not know you would bring her. To that Parag said this concerns her future so she has every right. Parag went to his mom and said Baa please forgive me. I fell in love. That was the only mistake I made. Baa said I know you fell in love but what about Koki? Parag said I have always been good to her and I will continue to do so. But please don't ask me to give up my love. Koki could not even look at Parag. She was sitting with her head down holding Mota Bhabhi's hand. Baa said Koki I loved you as a daughter when you married my Parag and I still love you as a daughter...Saying that she turned to Parag with tears in her eyes and said I am very disappointed in you Parag beta...today you have done something that no one has been able to do. You have made Koki bow her head in shame. This family was her pride and now she cannot even look at my in the eyes. Parag got up fuming and said that is her problem. I gave her a home and two children. She has the run of the house and she has all the love of everyone here. What more does that greedy woman want. Kokial looked up crying and said I wanted nothing except the love of my husband...and then Koki ran up the stairs and went to her room. Parag took Mangla's hand and while leading her out the door said...I am still the beta of this house and I will continue to keep up my end of the bargain. But no one will ever ask me to give up my love. NO ONE!!! He left dragging Mangla with him. Chirag and Baa were left stumped. The did not know how they will manage with the kids. And Mota Bhabhi left there as soon as Koki left. Mota Bhabhi had to be with her Koki and take care of her Devrani. Chirag sat next to Baa and wondered whats next???
