I think Koki is actually pleased, and doing very good job of hiding it. She does not want Ahem to know she is pleased by the way he is taking care of Gopi.

If she was annoyed at all she would have said something to Gopi, when Gopi asked to do some work, instead she very lovingly told Gopi to rest as she is not yet completely well.

No Koki's is not that insecure or selfish, and she knows her son loves her just as much, proof was there when she almost stepped on the broken glass. As for Gopi, she has no doubt that Gopi loves her also. She is very happy for her son and vahu. Koki is a very confident woman.

I am sure she wants Ahem to voice his feelings, because she could see he is still not ready to admit he has fallen in love with a person he used to call "Gawar"
