I love your post!! I totally agree..Ahem has never given importance to his marriage..nd now when he cares somewhat..everything is coming to him too easily. Our Gopi deserves all the happiness after what she's been thru. Ahem needs to value Gopi..he needs to realize he's incomplete without her.

Totally agree with you all, in all our fan fics we have Aham working really hard to meet the standard that we feel Gopi deserves and he always, in most cases, apologises to Gopi, and in a recent episode, last week Friday 30th December 2011 episode he recognised what he had done by allowing Gopi to fall down, she had developed a believe that she was incapable of walking, and he said to Gopi I'm sorry, I'm very very sorry, and he couldn't stand to hear her take the blame this time and he went off into the bathroom (possibly to let out some tears), he was so consumed with guilt the next day, the flashbacks he was having, of the fall, Doctor Joshi's words and Rashi's words, all playing on his mind...so our man has changed.

Most definitely he also needs to have flashbacks of the whole year of ill-treating his wife and make amends, if it means Gopi leaves him for a short while, then let it happen.

But also in the fan fics that I like, Aham doesn't loose his macho demeanour, because us girls don't want an absolute wimp as a husband, for a man to be successful in business, respected he must have just a little bit of arrogance, not too much, just enough and I want the CV's to get that balance with Aham, yes his pining for his wife, yes they are showing us lots of scenes where he cares for her but I want him to retain that essence of Aham Modi.

So true. Our Ahem is sensitive and apologizes when he knows it is his mistake. Remember that scene where after taking back her vows he asks her if she needs help in applying the medicine...and there are some other instances too...where when he knows she is right or has done something nice...he does try to be nice to her but before, there was always something that came up which gave him a wrong impression. Ahem has been misled in the past. But we can be sure that when he realizes that she was wronged by her own and his own sisters respectively...he will try make it up to her.

On the same note I want to add that I am a little concerned for him. The guilt of letting her fall accidentally was so much that he was in a daze for so long...what will happen and how will he cope with his own guilt when he finds out that he was so cruel to an absolutely innocent Gopi. I just hope the creatives manage to display the strength of Ahem's character even then. The guilt for the fall really broke my heart. Though I want him to regret but I doubt an Ahemeholic like me would like to see him break down completely. I really don't care if he takes revenge on all the people who wronged his wife...but I won't be able to stand it if he has a bigger breakdown when he finds out that she took the blame on herself for someone else's mistake and even his own cruelty(remember the fast breaking)

It is on the creatives to maintain the rhythm. Let us all hope the future of the relationship as beautiful as the present.

Cheers

Fab post Traxy !!

Lets just take the hair washing example - I find Ahem so out of character on that somehow.. its unlike the image they created for him... I just hope the creatives don't muck up a good story just to grab a few eye balls..

There are too many unresolved issues between them so this seems a little superfluous .. there were options, he could ask her wash it later.. ask the maid to help.. or Rashi.. drive her to a salon.. but this isnt normal, given the *confused* status of their relationship and we being just as oblivious of Ahem's feelings as Gopi and maybe the creatives as well..

Somehow this is a huge step and it came too soon and unrealistically too !!

I completely agree with you. Though as much as I will enjoy the hair washing scene, it will be so out of the character of Ahem Modi that has been portrayed so far as an arrogant yet sensible business man. Ahem massaging Gopi's feet is more practical, but washing her hair in the room is a trick of CVs to grab more viewers. But I don't want to complain on any precious Gohem scene. I am bit greedy abt that.
