Sorry I was late in posting the update. I wasnt well so i couldnt. I will try to post whenever I can so please bare with me. Thank you again for the Wonderful comments.

Part 6

It was early morning and Kamna got up and was busy organizing some papers in her temporary room for the hospital to take in the evening. On her way downstairs she saw Mohan walking by with a couple of baskets and stopped him

Kamna: Mohan, how is Shyamu kaka doing? Is he taking his medications on time?

Mohan: Bhabhiji, he is doing a little better than before. But bapu is ziddi when it comes to medication he doesn't listen. Radha is very adamant and doesn't like any nonsense nowadays. She keeps on telling bapu all day long to take his food and medication properly.

Kamna: That's your wife for you then. Your father is lucky to have you and your wife to take care of him.

Mohan: Well we have you to take care of us. I wish I was here though when the incident happened. I could've stopped this and protected both bapu and Gopi bhabhi.

Kamna: How can you when you were doing a job for me in Purana Delhi. Besides your Aditya bhaiya did come home for a bit and sorted it out.

Mohan: But still bhabhiji, we will have to answer to Ahem bhaiya about it.

Kamna: You don't have to worry about that. Whatever needs to be said myself and your Aditya bhaiya will deal with it.

Just then the doorbell rang and both looked towards the door. Kamna looked at the time and thought who could have come so early in the morning.

Mohan: Shall I go open the door?

Kamna: No, I'll go myself. You can continue your job.

Kamna went to the front and opened it. She was surprised to see Ahem standing with his luggage waiting to be received.

Kamna: Ahem, you?

Ahem: Jai Shri Krishna di. (They hugged each other)

Kamna: Jai Shri Krishna. How come you are here this early in the morning? The plane from Rajkot leaves now at this time to get to Delhi.

They both came into the hall and sat in the living room.

Ahem: Woh, di I took the train last night to get here. You said you needed me soon so Mom said I should leave in the evening and no time would be wasted.

Kamna: what you have to be shitting me!! You, the great Ahem Modi came with the train to Delhi!! You have got to be joking.

Ahem: No di I am serious. Dad bought me the best seats on the train. It had everything I wanted even though I am not 100% accustomed to it.

Kamna: well I have to say that you guys always seem to take your dad in the wrong light. See what he has done for you. I hope you said thanks to him.

Ahem: I did. Papa was so amazing I had to say thanks.

Ahem looked around the home and saw that many decorations and renovations were complete just very little touch ups seem to be left. But his eyes very mainly looking around for Gopi. Anger started to resurface on him. He started to remember the conversation he had with Rashi last night and he couldn't stop himself from asking Kamna. He felt he had to know why Kamna hid this news from them.

Ahem: Di where is Gopi?

Kamna: Oh Gopi, that poor soul is still sleeping...

Ahem: What she is still sleeping? Why? Why are you letting her sleep after what she has done? Why are you calling her poor soul?

Kamna: Calm down Ahem. I know you are anxious to see her but give her another hour, bechari worked so hard yesterday and I haven't seen anyone work like her.

Ahem: Di you are missing the point. You are letting her sleep like that after the mistake she made and on top of that you are calling her bechari.

Kamna (confused): Ahem what are you talking about? Why are you being so angry?

Ahem: You know what I am talking about. (he stood up) Why did you hide it from us? You could have told us what she did instead you hid the whole thing.

Kamna (stood up and looked directly at Ahem): Woah there gadhe. I cant even understand what you are talking about Ahem. Either talk clearly and properly because you are talking to your big sister or just shut up.

Ahem stopping talking for a minute to clear his mind before talking. He knew he had to talk calmly because if he didn't he would be in a huge mess.

Ahem: Di why didn't you tell us or at least tell me that Gopi was responsible for causing Shyamu kaka heart attack? Di that gawar is my wife, don't have a right to know?

Kamna: What? Are you insane? Gopi caused kaka's heart attack? What the hell are you saying Ahem?

Ahem: Di I told you clearly what I said. Why are you still confused?

Kamna: I am not confused Ahem. I am just wondering if you are actually that retarded. You have just totally confirmed to me that you don't have a brain.

Ahem: Di, I have a brain. Gopi doesn't have a brain. That illiterate gawar has no shame sleeping around like while she caused kaka's heart attack.

Kamna: Who told you all this rubbish you stupid dimwit?

Ahem: Rubbish what rubbish? Gopi herself told Rashi on the phone and...

Kamna: RASHI...Rashi told you this?

Ahem: Well obviously if she had the conversation with Gopi then she...

Kamna: Rashi lied to you. Gopi never spoke to Rashi for 2 weeks so what makes you think she would say this to her now?

Ahem: Rashi lied to me but why would she?

Kamna: I don't know Ahem since you don't have a brain you couldn't figure it out why, you just decided the easy way out. Since Gopi has a brain she wouldn't make a mistake in calling anyone but you first to tell if something happened.

Ahem: How are you sure that Rashi lied?

Kamna: I just gave you the first 2 reasons. The third is Shyamu kaka didn't have a heart attack, he had a stroke. So that kind of tells you right out that she lied. Don't you think I would tell you especially if something happened?

Ahem: No you seem to trust Gopi more.

Kamna: Huh! That says a lot about you. You don't even know how to trust your own. You just believe whatever is word of mouth. I was going to tell you something important regarding Gopi that you needed to know but I don't think that you deserve to know anymore.

Ahem now felt ashamed for not trusting his sister. He put his head and couldn't look at his sister anymore.

Ahem: Di I am sorry. Please forgive me. I just said all this mostly out of anger I should have been calm and thought about or maybe asked properly instead of getting hot headed.

Kamna: Hmm. (Not happy tone, more disappointed tone) Anyways even if you don't deserve to know about Gopi you are still her husband I am have to tell you no matter what. Will you listen to me first without any interruption and say whatever you want afterwards?

Ahem: Ok di I promise.

Kamna took Ahem towards the garden and stopped near the mandir and started to tell what had happened.

Kamna: I brought you here instead of the living room because I wanted to tell you privately I don't want anyone else hearing this.

Ahem: Is something the matter?

Kamna: Let me finish first ok. (She waited for Ahem to let her continue) Ahem, three days ago Gopi and Shyamu kaka are helping the workers with a room. I was in the house for a while but I went out to run an errand at the hospital. Three boys from the neighborhood had entered the house when the guard was away for a while. They started messing around with the things in the home and had gone upstairs. Kaka went to pick up a call from Adi who was on his way here and saw the mess. Adi was upset that some people got in called the police and told kaka he was coming. Kaka went to look for where the boys had gone. Gopi had gone up to get the clothes from the rooftop balcony and it was raining, she was completely soaked by the time she came down. She met the boys in the hall; they started to misbehave with her in their drunken state and ...

Ahem: What they were misbehaving with Gopi?!!! (Ahem was shocked that some boys misbehaved with his Gopi)

Kamna: ...well kaka made it to where she was after she started screaming but they started to beat him up, luckily Adi made it home and found them running after Gopi and caught them. The police came and took them away and Adi has already filed a legal case for them. (looking at Ahem's reaction) I came home and found kaka in a bad state. He was bleeding a suffered a huge stroke. All he kept doing was looking at Gopi... I am sorry Ahem I should have told you earlier but it all happened so fast. If Adi didn't come home at that time I donno what could have happened.

Ahem: and the workers were just staring? They couldn't do anything?

Kamna: I don't know Ahem, Adi told me most of what happened and Gopi was in shock the whole day. She was crying for your Mom, she just was so broken up I had to hug her to make her stop. But my hug wasn't enough for her she needed more than my comfort. She needed you.

Ahem: di why didn't you call me then I would have flown here right away?

Kamna: I wanted to but Gopi said no it would disturb your work. She thought about you and your work more than herself. I...I am...

Ahem (holding Kamna's arm): Di its ok. You tried. Where is Gopi? I need to go see her.

Kamna: She is in your room. Up the stairs, right side last room.

Ahem: thanks.

Saying that Ahem ran up the stairs leaving everything else behind to go see Gopi. He had this uneasy feeling that Gopi needed him desperately.
