Part-13
Part 13-1:
"Shes lying" Ahem was in his cabin(lunch break) thinking about her last dialogue. At First he was shocked then surprised and now unconvinced. "She lying to me so i can sympathisize with her".But when Ahem remembered her turmoiled face and her eyes he thought nobody could act such perfect. "Anyways how can a person be without making decisions not major but minor decisions are made." Ahem know that in his house his mom takes all the decisions behalf
of everyone so she definetely wont leave her DIL in exception. But what abt her childhood. Here Ahem was convinced she was lying because he too had a sister and a cousin, kinjal rarely had a clash with him but jigar and him were always in clash regarding thier toys. Of course Ahem always won and never have to sacrifice his taste unlike jigar who gave up easily anything Ahem liked it saying "I know Ahem bhai will let me share and play with it", which never happend
in their lifetime. Ahem never shared his things because he was proud to get their ownership due to his and his mom decision. Moroever the toys his mom would gift him were more precious to him for sharing with anyone. So back to gopi, she too have a sister and one look at rashi was enough to know she is not the one who would sacrifice her likings for her little sister. He knew some or other time she had to make a decision regarding like where to go for holdays or atleast
what flavor of ice cream she would like to eat etc. "No one can escape such small decisions not even her!!" But still he was not so convinced as the previous times. "why am i thinking about a little statment of her. Why do i care?". He knew he cared because not because for her but for himself. What if she really dint learnt to protest then he was all these days was blasting a timid girl as his target of anger. His already locked guilt would excess more and this was the last thing Ahem
wanted. Ahem was determined to know the truth tonight and hoped that for this time he should win. Ahem was battling with his mind the moment she entered his room. He could see the last night incident even made a impression on her. She maintained more distance from him from her normal distance maintaining. Also not even once she looked at him after entering the room. Ahem completed the previous day task of explaining her the english words meanings and started with
the sentences. He was happy that he gave words as homework the previous day instead of sentences. "She came up with a half compledted notebook for words, god knows how many books she will finish off for sentences." stop diverting urself Ahem thought "how to raise the subject with her". He planned to learn whether she was lying or saying the truth by engaging in conversion but now Ahem was troubled to start a conversation."She's not even asking her daily question (aapko
kuch chaiye) to start the conversation. Ahem noticed that she will leave at any time now as todays lesson was completed. "I need a topic where she cant even think about lying and for me to easy to find out." So defenitely her childhood is out of question. A topic which involves his family and a decision to be made by her. Gopi noticed that Ahem was watching her since her first step in his room "kanaji, is he still angry at me, i should have never accepted his proposal to study.
Now this is taking a toll on him". Ahem constant glare was making her nervous so she turned away from him making her back facing him and quickly continued with her lessons in order to escape from the room. Then she heard his voice "why did u say yes?". Now she cant avoid him so slowly she faced him puzzled because she cant make a thing out of his question. Ahem knew with a half a question he would get her attention and mentally praised himself for coming with a marvelous
idea to make the truth come out. "She can never lie to me to this question as he can know the truth within seconds!!" Ahem spoke "Why did u say yes to marry me? I mean why did u made a decision regarding marrying me among all the other suitors.". He knew everyone had to take a decision regarding their marriage. He too decided to marry Anita and later even tried to convince his mom but failed. "Not everyone are forced into marriage like me. She too must had some reasons to accept me".
Ahem was waiting anxiously for her reply. Gopi was surprised with the question and also with the tone. It was the first time he asked a general question to her gently. "But what to answer him!!". Ahem was observing her and noticed that she seemed confused. This was not the reaction he expected. Minutes went by but she dint answer. Ahem temper rose again" Why cant u even answer a simple question?", he snapped at her. Gopi looked up frigthened and spoke "maaji choose me".
Her reply rosed his temper more "How convinient answer, of course only my mom can choose a gawar like u for me. Dont know what she saw in u. I bet u acted all this innocent and docile in front of her when she came to see u rit!!" Gopi remained silent tears briming in her eyes. Ahem scolded himself for getting involved with her and decided to leave the topic. "No i should not. What if this is one of her tactics of irritating me so that she can hide the truth and cover her lie. Ahem u have
to do it today no mater what!!".Ahem spoke "do u still need time to think or can u give me a reply now" in a mocking tone. Gopi simply replied "maaji choose me".
Part13-2:
Ahem shouted "what's this maaji choose me drama. Of course she chose u and thats the reason u r sitting in front of me as my wife and not (Ahem was about to say anita but caught himself. Dont know why but Ahem wanted gopi to be the last person to know about anita.He felt guilty to talk about anitha infront of her, so he changed the sentence in mind saying) not ur sister. He saw a flicker of change in her expression but immediately she had her head down.Ahem immedialtely knew he had said
something which gave away her expression. He repeated his sentence in mind and the only thing which can change her expression was her sister name. Ahem felt ashamed of taking her sisters name. He was talking about her sister in front of her as a option to be his wife. "where did my manners go!!". Of course any girl would react on thinking her sister in her place."Her sister!!",some business instinct of Ahem told he was missing something here.Ahem spoke "rashi is ur elder sister rit!".gopi looked
at him and nodded."why does ahemji behave differently sometimes!!"Ahem spoke "generally people will look matches for elders in the house then why did ur relatives look matches for u!!", "unless"Ahem thought within himself "unless the match was for rashi herself but gopi took her place". Ahem can imagine the scene, a clumsy rashi and a perfect gopi"of course my mother wil choose this gawar, she is perfect at household!!"But still Ahem felt a piece missing. He decided he need to know about his
marriage now. He looked at gopi and demanded "i want to know how our marriage is fixed so speak truthfully because i can ask mom regarding this matter!". Ahem hoped she wont catch his lie. He can never ask his mom regarding his marriage, she is too sharp and would definelty get suspicious. Then thought "who am i kidding, gopi catching a lie, impossible!!". Gopi though totally confused immdiately started narrating the story and finally concluded "maaji came and placed a kangan in my hand and
choose me and we got married". she spoke innocently. "second blow" Ahem thought "i was thinking i was forced into this marriage but what about her! She dint even got a chance to say her opinion.!". Ahem was unable to even look at her now. Always he thought her as a thief and gold digger but the real reason was she never ever dreamed of marrying him."what would she say if she had a decision to make. OF course yes!! He was Ahem modi after all!!".Ahem knew his guilt was ready to eat him up now
Gopi was watching him.She saw his expressions changing every time, surprise, anger, proud, guilty. Ahem knew that he was confusing her.But watching her confused dilemma face, he felt a sense of enjoyment "
sadist". Confused Gopi left leaving Ahem in a very dilema state like the previous night. Finally after spending a sleepless night Ahem concluded gopi was saying the truth. Now it was his responsibility to make her stand up and to take decisions."But why should i care!!". Ahem knew he had to care
because Ahem was afraid what will happen to her if she was left alone. He knew that she have to take tough decisions in future regarding their marriage so he would teach her to voice out her opinion. That night Gopi entered the room and Ahem started imediately "Today i am going to teach u the value of education.True education gives self confidence which gives ability to handle the situations in life. In future u may face situations where u have to decide rationally. Real sense of education is put to pratice.
If u keep on mum at every situation people can take advantage of u. so try to voice out ur opinion, no body wont kill u here if u reason out. It will boost up ur self confidence. All these things are also essential in ur education." Thus Ahem continued till he lent out his super baashan of brain washing gopi. Ahem was so impressed with himself. For the first time he talked normally with gopi without any anger or irritation. If he was happy with himself, Gopi was a sight to see. Her eyes became so wide with surprise
that it seemed to be popping out and her mouth formed a complete 'o' thinking some flies might have entered into her mouth. "Family problem", Ahem thought. Gopi stood staring at Ahem making Ahem feel uncomfortable. Now he realized how she might have felt when he stared at her continously the previous night. Ahem thought" Its time to bring her down from her dreamland"."Dont stare at me like a dumb idiot!! Did u understood want i want to say?"Ahem shouted at her. Gopi immediatley snapped out and
shuttered "ji". "K then let me test u", Ahem thought about a simple situation where she have to choose "yes, suppose i have a ice cream and chocolate what would u like?". Ahem felt so stupid asking this question,"God, no one should have a idiot wife like her!!". But Ahem dint know that his determination of making Gopi confident will be a blow for him everyday. "Speak out, what do u like ice cream or chocloate!!", "Ahemji!!",Gopi said timidly "what are those?" (third blow, This time Ahem mouth dropped down)
Part13-3:
Gopi was thinking "Kanaji, Ahemji is tryiing so hard to make me speak up, but everytime i open my mouth he gets so mad(gopi misunderstood Ahem's shock as anger). It became a dialy routine in her life. Ahem asking a question, she giving a most unexpected answer, Ahem remains dumb while gopi continued her studying and rush out of his room.Though gopi felt uncomfortable in his merciless glare she liked the attention Ahem was giving her now-a-days.Gopi could not help it but she always remained in her
dreamland now-a-days."Kanaji, pls give me the strength to follow Ahemji's instructions so that i can make him happy"."Dint ate a chocolate in a lifetime!!" This was the constant thought of Ahem from the day gopi asked him its meaning.Though Ahem dint ask gopi the reason but it dint stop him from remembering her words."This girl ruined my perfect plan. Why does she have to always answer an unexpected answer giving me a blow everyday making me a monster. Ahem was afraid to even recollect his past behavior,
"if this girl is speaking the truth then i will be the worst person in the whole universe for treating her like dirt".This was Ahem's biggest weakness, he cant watch anyone suffer unnecessarily. "K Ahem modi, all the words though truth or lie points to one thing, u cant love her so atleast respect her and try not to treat her like dirt. She's a bit educated now so hope that she wont perform any silly mistakes in future!! Infact I think she already learnt her lesson because now-a-days i dont hear any commotion in the house like it used
to be due to her mistakes. No matter what she deserves some respect now!!". "Gopi bhabhi!!", jigar called her, "Deverji, jai shri krishna" gopi spoke "bhabhi, pls wish me. tomorrow is my presentation so if my pyaari bhabi wishes me it will be a good luck charm for me".Gopi spoke "pre..pre..presentation?" "woh bhabhi we just repersent the views in form of pictures made by us"and jigar explained her the procedure. Gopi was surprised"Deverji, on the wall how can u see pictures","Bhabhi we project it, the walls are pale colors
like exactly to be in Ahem bhai's room!! waise bhabhi let me tell u a secret regarding Ahem bhai!! He have the worlds most worst choice in representing his pictures, not even once in a lifetime he choose a perfect color for his presentation but nobody in the office dare to point out to Ahem bhai sometimes just papa guide him for major meetings. I think thats the reason why Ahem bhai always be tensed with his work because he takes a lot of time to decide and also to rectify. Anyway bhabi, wish me luck".Gopi dint like her Ahemji being
poor in any aspect. "devarji, hope u have a successful day tomorrw". "Thank u bhabi and by the way pls dont tell bhai that i ranted him out!". Gopi was surprised at his last statment and jigar gave her a knowing wink. "Deverji, gopi spoke timidly "woh...mein..." jigar knew what was coming "bhabhi pls, i dont want to listen about rashi again!!". "Lekin devarji rashi ben told the truth, it was me who left the shop and.." "Bhabhi nobody knows the truth not even u" "Lekin devarji!!" "Yeh kya gopi vahu.." kokila entered the scene "phir shuru
ho gayi. how many times i have to tell u not to think about ur sister. She got what she deserved and whatever happened only due to her. Jigar took the right decision and I am with him so stop worrying abt ur sister. Samji gayi". Kokila gave a scolding look to gopi and thought "e ladki ko aab me kaise samjau, the person whom she loves is the main responsible for her disaster relation". Ahem's full concentration was on his laptop but at the coner of his eye he knew she was watching his laptop time after time. This was irritaitng him.
"gopijee, phir se lapton dhone ki ichha paida hua hai kya(do u want to wash my laptop again)? Ahem asked sarcastingly.Gopi looked frigtned and shook her head. Ahem started working with his laptop and repeated in mind "give her some respect, give her some respect". He again saw gopi was looking at his laptop. "whats her facination with the laptop". For an instant Ahem thought of slamming the laptop to the floor "Why should i slam my laptop if she was looking at it?"
Because u r not liking the laptop getting the attention which she used to give u!!"shut up"Ahem thought. "why are u looking at my laptop continously?".Gopi was bitting her lip and was looking really nervous. Ahem sensed she wanted to tell him something. "kya bhaat hai. kuch kehana hai!!". "ji...woh...woh...ye...woh...nahin"."god"Ahem thought"my whole lecture dint have any effect on her!!". Ahem shouted "ab kaho" Gopi immediately spoke out "ji woh e aapki pre..presentation color tik nahi hai!!". A deadly silence filled the room. Ahem eyes shot up and was looking at gopi in shock. Before gopi lost her gained courage
she spoke rapidly "ji woh devarji have told me abt the presentation and told that the walls color resemble to ur room so that color(dark green with blue font) wont suite. Aap white with green use kar sakte hai. It will look good". Gopi finally let out a sigh. Her mind was so disturbed since jigar told her that her Ahemji lacks presentation skills. She dont want her husband to get humiliated in frontof anyone. "Mere Ahemji bohot perfect hai"she thought. Ahem was still looking at her silently in shock and gopi was glad that he dint shout at her.
"Ahemji only said to me to voice out my opinion, so maybe thats the reason he is not shouting at me!!". But poor gopi dint knew that silence is followed by a storm. Ahem eyes became furious and his nortrils flared. "what nonsense u r talking" Ahem shouted at her forgetting the fact that they are meeting secretly. Ahem stood up unable to control his anger and even gopi stood up frightned at his anger "ji..mein.." Tears started to roll on her cheeks. "chup ek dum chup. what are u thinking about urself. Do akshar kya pad liye tum khud ko gyanni
samjhne lagi ho(after learning a few words u started thinking urself as a scholar).mujhe advice dene chali ayi. who asked ur damn advice and who r u to tell me. Tumhe dost kya kehadiya tum to shir par chadne lagi ho(u r sitting on my head because i called u as my friend). Galti meri hi hai. I was foolish to think u r innocent but i knew it all the while u were acting in front of me. Tum kabhi bhi sudar nahi sakti. dont show me ur face again. Samji. get out, get out of my room rit now. jaun yehan se" Ahem thundered on gopi. Poor gopi dont have
words to say and left the room extremely hurt.
Part 13-4:
It was meeting time and Ahem was nervous. As out of habit he went to show his presentation to chirag but at that moment chirag went to site. Ahem's ego came into his way when jigar came to help him. He refused his help hoping his kaka would arrive soon. But chirag arrived preciously on time for meeting. The meeting started immediatley and it was Ahem;s turn to present his presentation. Until now none of his office members were unable to impress the clients as Ahem knew they lacked the subject wheras he lacked presentation skills. Ahem took
a deep breath and thought "whats done is done! I have to do my best now". Ahem started his presentatin not once looking at his prepared points.This was Ahem's style of presenting. Ahem knew that he presented well. Now everyting depends on his prepared presentatin. The room went quite silent for a second. His kaka eyes were wide with surprise and jigar eyes truly shot up, a look at utter disbelief. Slowly the clients smile turned into wide smiles and nodded appreciately and everyone clapped at his presentation. CHirag looked happy and jigar proud. The deal
was finalized and the remaining formalities will be performed in the next meeting. Everyone congratulated Ahem and left the room and slowly for the first time Ahem turned to look at his presentation.It was in white background with green color font and for the first time Ahem felt proud with himself and also for his wife.Though Ahem felt mad at first when gopi told his flaw. Later he realized his mistake. How hard he tried the past 2 days to make her speak out but when she did tried to speak out he blasted her advice. Ahem can imagine how hard for her to
muster the courage to speak infront of him(Ahem smiled to himself).When his anger cooled down, he realized that she would never opened her mouth if his presentation was decent. For the first time AHem felt gopi as his equal. A person he can rely on. A person he can look for support. Gopi looked lika A person similar to his mom.Gopi was broken down."why does i always open my mouth in the wrong time. Ahemji was right, who am i to judge his work. What does i know about his work. I have ruined everything. When he was finally talking to me in a polite
manner, finally stated to pay attention towards me, I ruined everything. Mami was always right. I can never match upto him. No matter how hard i try his world is different than mine is. Now i have lost the only chance to see him. If Ahemji is happy without me so be it , i wont come to his path again." Gopi was about to proceed to her room when she encountered jigar."Bhabhi, tanks a lot... it was ur support that made my day today. My meeting went just perfect. Tanks a lot bhabhi". Gopi simply smiled at him and jigar knew that his bhabhi was upset. He decieded to
cheer her up "Really bhabhi, i am saying the truth. Ur my lucky charm. And u know another strange incident occured today. Ahem bhai's presentation was a super hit!!".Gopi's head snapped up hearing this. She felt elated hearing that her Ahemji got the project.She was really feeling nervous for her Ahemji. Gopi spoke "such devarji!!" "Haan bhabhi its true and u know what the miracle is!!. Ahem bhai todays presentation was excellent. Dad told me, bhai have not even consulted him but his presentatin was perfect today with the color combination of white and green."
Gopi head snapped up in surprise. It was her choice was colors. "kya..."she asked surprised. "haan bhabhi, its true even we are totally shocked when we saw his presentation. Just imagine Ahem bhai and a perfect color combination. Tell me bhabhi aap ne meri chugli to nahi ki hain na(u dint told bhai about me, did u?).Gopi laughed and jigar joined her and in an instant a voice put break to their smiles. "Gopi" shouted Ahem. He was coming towards her ,really mad. Gopi and jigar stood frozen to their places. Ahem came storming towards them, gave a killing look to jigar
and without stopping just took hold of gopi's hand and dragged her away with him. Jigar was really shocked first at Ahem behaviour and slowly his face lift up in a wide smile. Jigar knew his Bhai very well. Everyone knew of Ahem's temper but only jigar,kaki and kinjal knew Ahem's great possessive attitude. Ahem cant bear to share his things with other persons though how close they maybe. Jigar knew this attitude because since from childhood Ahem never even let jigar and kinjal touch his toys. Kinjal never minded to play with them being a girl but Jigar was the one to
suffer. Often jigar was facinated with Ahem toys but he never let him touch them. Jigar even this day remember the tantrums Ahem threw when he saw his things in others people hands. This was the reason Ahem stored every little thing in his room and the reason no one dared to enter his room. Ahem's possive attitute not only ended with his toys but also attached to persons too. Kinjal suffered mainly due to Ahem's possive attitude towards his mother. He never let kinjal go near his mother and always sulked for days continously if his mother ignored him for even a second.
Kinjal too got adjusted further and this was the reason she bonded with hetal well rather than kokila becuse Ahem never let her share their mohter's love. And gradually kokila too being well aware of his attitude gave her full attention to him alone. Jigar thougt" Poor gopi bhabhi. Now its her turn now".Jigar could bet this was the reason AHem became so mad. He simply cant see his wife laughing with her devar."Bechari bhabhi, how confused she will be with Ahem bhai attitude towards her now" Jigar felt very happy that finally Ahem bhai accepted bhabhi as his part of life
and thought atleast one son of this modi clan is happy with his partner(remembering rashi). Gopi was scared to death by looking at Ahem. He was also scared that someone might notice them. Ahem was burning with anger and jealousy. How happy he was the previous moment and thought of sharing the news with gopi. He wanted to watch her surprise reaction, her smile, her happiness. He wanted to share his happiness with her but Jigar spoiled everything. For the first time he wanted to share his feelings with someone but he already ratted everything out spoiling his surprise.
Ahem was heading towards gopi's room to share the news and to tell her to come to his room for education as he knew that she wont come by herself because he asked her to do so when he saw the entire conversation of jigar and gopi. He dint know why he was angry but watching gopi with jigar was enough to flare his anger. Ahem dragged her towards gopi's room(Ahem previous room) and throwed her at the couch. Gopi tuned towards him after falling on the couch. Ahem looked really mad,eyes red with anger, smoke coming from his ears and nose, mouth clenched tightly and
his whole body was shaking with anger. HE went and locked the door and gopi immediate thougt was he will slap her again. "Kanaji of course he will get mad at me as i laughed at him with devarji!!". Ahem stormed towards her and stood in front of her "who am i gopi"he spoke with anger.Gopi dint dare to reply anything. Ahem asked again "who am i to u?". "ji my husband"gopi told stammering. "really, i thought u have forgotten the fact and u need to be rememberd" "Ahemji!!" "chup ek dum chup, dont utter a word now, i m ur husband and not even once u felt comfortable enough
to share ur thougts with me whereas u were so comfortable with jigar that both of u are laughing at me". "mujhe maaf kardijiye" "nahin milegi maafi. i wont forgive u. I wanted to be the person to share the news with u. I wanted to be the person to first person to tell u about my meeting. But as i can see u have already have informer about my daily activities.Ruined my entire plan."Gopi was shaking now frightned and confused as she cant make head or tail of Ahem's talk. Ahem came towards her and grabbed her arm and pulled towards himself. Gopi looked at him really scared. His face
was really close to her face and her arm in his iron grip. "Listen clearly and understand very well now."Ahem thundered stressing every word" Tumhari duniya sirf main hoon. Ur day will start with me and ur day will end with me. from now onwards ur world will consits of two people, me and my mother. whatever u want, u have to ask me or my mom. From tomorow onwards u will spend time with me and me alone. Ur every attention should be towards me and my mom. Ek bhaat achi tarah samjlo, ur mine and u will be mine only.". Ahem finally let gopi's arm free and pushed her back on
to the couch and throwed a packet in her lap saying "and this is called chocolate." Ahem stormed out of her room leaving a entirely confused gopi. Next day evening both Ahem and jigar came from office and Ahem asked about koki because in the morning kokila told Ahem that she would attend some pooja. Hetal replied that koki will return soon. Ahem and jigar were proceeding towards their room when the door bell rang. Both of them turned in time to watch koki enter the house followed by none other than "RASHI" jigar breathed out!!!
