Chapter 4
Guys i am trying to take Gopi bahu out of MM and let her enjoy some nice moments with Ahem out in the open.Hope you like it...
Ahem opens his eyes when he hears that his name is being called.Kokila stands near his bed and rubs her hand over his forehead.He looks at her and finds that she is still tensed.She asks him to take the day off as some important decisions need to be taken about Kinjal's wedding.He nodes and gets up to take a shower.
In the dining area,Ahem finds that the entire family is seated.The mood is grave.He looks around for the pretty face he has been dreaming about but finds that his view has been obstructed by the pallu.Kokila calls out his name and his mind stops wandering and he takes a seat right opposite to where Gopi is standing.
Kokila says that Mrs Mehta called her yesterday and requested that if they could agree to host the marriage in Hapnagar(fictional name) next week. Eileshji's cousin Dadi stays there and she is unwell and can't travel to attend his wedding.He is her favorite grandson and it is her wish to attend his marriage before she dies.Kokila says that their request if genuine but there are a few issues.(1) She is concerned how all the arrangements will be made in a new city with hardly any contacts in a such a short span of time.(2) Ahem has a new project that has started in his office.How can i expect him to be totally cut off from the office. (3) Chiraag Bhai has lately had high BP and sugar.How can i expect him to travel that far and we don't know if there are any good doctors there.She looks really sad.
After some thought Chiraag Bhai says that Kokila i know some people there and calls Hansu bhai who assures him that all the arrangements would be taken care of. He smiles at Kokila who smiles back and thanks him.He says that i will stay back and you all go for the wedding.This way Ahem's project will be taken care of and i will also not have to travel that much. Hetal says that i will stay back with you to which Chiraag asks her to go ahead and help Kokila.
Rashi listens to all this and think that "Why should she waste one week going to Hapnagar for Choti Kagdi?She would have to stay without AC and other comforts and Badi Kagdi will make her do all the work."She pretends to ponder and say with a heavy heart that she will stay back and take care of papaji. Jigar also volunteers to stay back.Koki is happy that atleast the troublemaker is off her back and adds that if any problem is there,Rashi can take help of her dear mother.So she kills two birds with one stone and has both Rashi and her mother off her back.
Meanwhile Kinjal's mind is working overtime that how she should get out of all this drama.She calls Umang but he does not answer.She goes to her room and sleeps.
Koki calls Ahem and Gopi and tells them that a guest house has been booked there and Koki, Hetal and Kinjal would share one room and Gopi and Ahem need to share a room.She requested them not to argue as she wanted to keep an eye on Kinjal's health and wanted everything to go smoothly.Also she did not want any questions to be raised about the status quo between Ahem and Gopi.
Then everybody gets super busy making all necessary arrangements.After one day they all start their journey in a Sumo car with Ahem driving for the destination.Baa too accompanies them.Chiraag Kaka sends four workers to help them and tells Ahem that all necessary arrangements have been made and gives him contact details of five people who could be contacted for any help in case of need.
Hapnagar was a five hour journey.They started on Sunday morning five o'clock and the marriage was on Sunday.The sky was still dark when they started.Kokila was seated in the front seat besides Ahem.Gopi was seated in the back and Ahem was happy that the pallu had not come out and through the mirror,he could steal a few pretty glances. Kinjal was sitting between Gopi and Hetal and wanted to jump outside the car.Ahem wore his aviators so that he could relish her face with his eyes and she would not bring out the pallu.Kokila was happy that Rashi and her mother would not create unnecessary trouble for her.Baa was sharing her journey tid-bits and everybody was enjoying. Ahem wanted Gopi to say something as well but she was being a good listener and was enjoying the view.Parag was teasing Koki about how docile she was when she got married to which Koki got embarrassed.They were generally having a gala time before they decided to stop for breakfast at a dhabha.
