SHOT-3

Gopi then saw the time and it was 5:00 p.m. She has a little time to get ready and on the top of it she has to take extra care of her appearance as someone special was coming.

She went to her cupboard and picked up a light pink chudidaar as someone special once told her that she looked cute in pink. She smiled to herself and went to get ready.

She came down with a wide smile on her face. Kokila put a kala teeka on her. They heard a car sound and so she grabbed the aarti ki thali from Urmila's hands to welcome her jijju..

She stood rooted to the ground as she reached the door; there he stood dashing as ever in his black suit. His lips automatically curved to smile as he saw her in front of him.

The driver got the mechanic and car got repaired in no time. Aham took the driver seat and raced the car towards the destination and in less than half an hour he got there.

Jaane kab tham gaye yeh kadam

Ek uske ke hi ghar ke paas mein

He was restless still he reached there but now he was feeling little weird to walk in, to face her. What would he say to her??? Would he be able to confess to her this time?? A lot of questions were getting raised in his brain.

Raasta, bhoola mein apna raasta

All of them washed away the moment he saw her. He recalled how once he told her she looked cute in pink and here she was ready to kill him with her beauty'.

At that moment, it seemed like only both of them existed there and rest got faded away. They were trying to sink in the fact that they finally got to see each other'.

A week of separation seemed like ages to them. Their eyes were lost in their silent communication unknown even to them'.

While both of them were lost in each other the family stood there super pleased with the silent communication going on between the two of them. They were eagerly waiting to witness this since morning''

Hetal made the first move as she didn't want others to make notice of that'

"Ahammm'.."

She called him lovingly holding out her arms for him'

"aunty'"

He held her in a bear hug. He was more of a son for her and she loved him a lot.

"beta' teri maa bhi hai yahaan'" Kokila faked anger.

(Son..even your mother is here)

"Lekin mere liye pehle aunty'" He said smiling'

(Yea but first its turn for my aunt)

Kokila turned away when he hugged her from back.

"aapko toh bas ek din miss kiya lekin aunty se toh mein ek saal baad mil raha hoon'"Aham said smiling.

(I missed you only for a day but i was missing my aunt since a year)

"Teek hai..teek hai'waise bhi meri beti hai mere pass' tu jaa apni aunty ke pass'"

(It's ok... anyways I've my daughter with me.. you can be with your aunt)

Kokila said walking to Gopi..

Lalit and Balraj joined them. He hugged them both and gave them the good news. They congratulated him and praised him a lot. He was then sent to guest room to get ready as all the youngsters were going out.

Aham was driving the car and eying Gopi through the mirror in the front. How badly he wanted to make her sit beside him but luck didn't favor him.

Some guests turned up in the end moment and they had to invite them too. All of them decided to go to a movie. He hoped at least there she gets a seat beside him.

They walked into the theatre and since there were 10 of them, they got the whole row for themselves. Gopi was in the front so she took up the first seat with Rashi beside her.

Aham went in crossing their chairs asking them to move as it'll be easy for people at the end to get seated'. As they got up to move he felt delighted hoping Gopi would take the seat beside him but his happiness lasted for a moment as she settled somewhere in the middle.

He cursed his fate. Everyone was settled by now. With two of Kinjal's cousins' on his right and Jigar, Rashi, Gopi etc on left. He tilted his head a little and saw Gopi was beside an unknown guy, one of Elesh's friends.

He knew she was feeling uncomfortable so he just signaled her to move but she assured him that it was ok. But after a minute it struck her may be he wants her to sit by his side.

So she just asked Jigar to swap but due to their ill fate, Rashi moved in Jigar's place offering her place to Gopi. Aham felt like banging his head to the wall while Gopi cursed Rashi.

The movie started and Jigar n Rashi were passing comments and laughing ignoring Gopi who was between them. Fed up of them, Gopi asked Rashi to swap so that it'll be easy for them to talk.

Jigar signaled her to move. Both of them decided to tease their siblings a bit as it's very rare that they get such wonderful occasions.

Finally Gopi was beside him. Aham couldn't help but pass a sigh of relief while Gopi looked on wondering what's wrong.

Both of them couldn't really concentrate on the movie, they kept stealing secret glances of each other. They were passed a pop-corn packet to share and both of them had enjoyed silently brushing hands against each other, eyeing each other occasionally. They sat for an hour but couldn't really watch the movie.

Gopi took out her mobile and started to text while Aham kept wondering whom she was texting to.

He was little bit possessive when it comes to her and he did prove that a lot of times when they were in college.

Aham's parents moved to Delhi after his school while Gopi's family remained in Surat. Gopi missed him most during those days. Although they visited them twice in a month, still Gopi missed those meetings during the lunch break, cycle-riding with him till her place etc

Fortunately, Gopi got seat in Delhi University and later she came to know that it was the plot of both their parents but didn't mind as it was those moments of spending time with him which made her realize how special he was for her.

Aham's joy knew no bounds when he heard that Gopi would join them as she got admitted in the same university as his. That meant he could re-live all those old moments like they spent in school with her.

Gopi was a year younger than him so joined as a junior. She used to go to college with him on his bike and both of them secretly enjoyed the rides a lot' Since, she used to come with Aham, no one ever ragged her except for a small session by and his gang that too just a sort of interaction.

Aham never happened to be friends with girls except for Gopi, she was the one and only one. Girls be it juniors or seniors envy her as she used to come with him and also happened to be his best friend. Although they didn't do anything like a couple it was taken for granted that they were one.

Once he saw her with a guy who happened to be her classmate. They were chatting while walking and he seemed to crack some jokes which made Gopi laugh. Aham boiled in anger to see Gopi laughing like that'.

Gopi walked into the library bidding the boy good-bye while the guy was coming back smiling.

As he was passing by them, his best friend Karan stopped the guy sensing Aham's jealousy.

"Oyi'seniors ko dekhe bhi kahaan jaa raha hai'idhar aa'"

(Where the hell are you going even after noticing that your seniors are here)

He called him showing his seniority.

The guy walked to them and stood like a statue.

"abbey aise kade hoke kya dekh raha hai'wish kar.."

(Now.. why are standing like a statue? Com'mon wish us)

He shouted.

"Good evening Sir' Good evening Sir'"

He wished both of them.

"Good'ab ye bata tu college kisliye aata hai'"

(Good.. now tell us why do you come to college)

Karan asked him angrily.

"Sir..college toh padne ke liye.."

(Sir.. i come here to study)

He said meekly.

"Jab ye baat pata hai' toh tu kar kya raha hai'."

(When you know that, what were you doing?)

Aham asked angrily as if ready to beat him up any second.

"Meine kya kiya sir???"

(What did i do sir?)

He put up an innocent face.

"Abhi tak kuch nahi kiya' isiliye toh zinda bach gaya' ab aage bhi kuch mat kar' samjha'"

(You did nothing till now that is the only reason why you're still alive.. don't you dare do anything..understand)

Karan warned him knowing Aham's jealousy being his childhood friend.

"ab yahaan kadha kadha hume kya dekh raha hai'jaa..'

(Now..why are you staring at us? Just go...)

Aham shooed him off.

He walked away confused not knowing why he was scolded. Later in the evening, he saw Gopi walking along with Aham and getting on his bike.

Now he understood what the matter was' He ran over to them. was about to start his bike when he appeared in front of them.

"Good evening sir, woh mujhe Gopi se baat karni thi'"

(Good evening sir, I want to talk to Gopi)

He said.

Aham looked at him horror. How dare he come to him and ask directly that he wanted to talk to Gopi. He looked at him as if he'll rip him off any moment.

"Hi Umang kya hua?? Kya baat karni hai??"

(Hi Umang what happened? what's the matter?)

Gopi asked getting off the bike.

"I just wanted to ask you something Gopi.."

He said mustering courage as he could feel Aham glaring at him fiercely.
