@ Tam oothapam: It is made with Idly batter. U make it thick like pizza and top it with onions, cummin seeds, Ginger etc.,

I call it a Desi Pizza.

Hey mom...
Sorry was out for a while... was checking on my mails n stuff that were accumulated coz of holiday season...

well uttapam is a thick Dosa made after Idlibatter is alittle more fermented... we sometimes put raw onion and nicely cut chilli on top and cook it on a pan... its kind of pancake for us... only that the batter is a mix of Rice and green gram with a little fenugreek to give it a different taste
