Diya thanks, your comment makes me go back to the epi when aham came for dandiya dance.
i will try to make their romance as interesting as the suspense.

Chapter 20

Though Gopi had been an adopted daughter, she never felt it. She was showered with love and care. Her parents fulfilled her wishes even before she thought about them. There was one thing which she hid from them. It was her love for Aham. She was not sure about his feelings for her to express it to her parents. So she suffered silently. There was no pain greater in the world than the pain of doubt, doubt where the person dear to your heart loves you or not. Gopi experienced it, lived it. But on reaching home, seeing Aham, Kokila and Parag, she came back from hell.

On seeing her Kokila came towards her and said: beta we were waiting only for you. How are you?

Gopi: I m fine maaji. When did you come?

Kokila: we can a couple of hour before. I have a surprise for you. By the time Arjun and Smrithi had realized who it was and were giving meaningful looks at Aham and Gopi. Gopi asked them to shut up and not to do anything rashly. Gopi came to know that the Modi Family was there to celebrate with them. Aham had been awarded the best businessman of the year award so Kokila had planned to take them all on a tour. Everyone was exited and even before Gopi came it was decided that they will go to an beach side resort which the kurana's own for a week. They had planned to start the next morning. Suddenly Hansaben suggested that Arjun and Smrithi join them. Though they were like an extended family, Arjun thought that it might be uncomfortable since the new members might not like them to intrude. So both of them were reluctant.

Aham blew down their objects and it was decided they will start in the morning. Hansa Ben called Arjun and Smirthi's parents and got their permission and everything was settled. During the whole scenario not even once Aham looked at Gopi. This made her sad. She could not bear it; still for the sake of her family she continued to be happy. She did not know that she was watched by one pair of eyes, the shrewd eyes of Kokila never missed anything and it did not miss the suffering of Gopi.

That night after supper every one sat talking about the preparation and planning what they can do for a whole week. Just then Gopi came to Kokila and hesitantly said to her, maaji I want to talk to you about something. Immediately the place was silent. Gopi felt Aham becoming tense. Kokila smiled and said: what is beta? Is it something very important? Do you want to talk here or in private?

Gopi: I can say it here itself maaji. Do you know maaji I was never angry with you. From the beginning I knew I was not a kurana, yet my parents kept me happy. They did everything for me, except talk about my parents family. So I never found a way to tell them. Even before you told the truth about my father and you, I knew it.

Everyone was shocked. Kokila found her voice and said: how did you know?

Gopi bought out a cassette player and said: maaji this was given to me by my parents on my 18^th birthday. I was with my father Chirag's lawyer. Just listen to it.

Hetal was a good singer. So whenever she found time she used to sing and record songs for her daughter, so that she will not disturb during work hours. On that particular day when she was recording a special song for Gopi, Chirag burst in and told everything about Kokila and the truth and they decided to start home. The whole conversation was recorded without their knowledge. When the cassette stopped, Kokila was in tears she hugged Gopi and cried her heart out. She promised gopi that she will always be with her and will not allow the shadow of sadness to reach her life.

The morning dawned with lots of excitement. They took their private jet to their destination. The seating arrangements were made in such a way that Aham and Gopi found themselves next to each other, particularly in the last seat. They were uncomfortable. Gopi felt that it had been in other situation she would have been happy, but now she felt aham tensed sitting next to her. She stole a glance at him and saw him reading a book. Frustrated she closed her eyes and fell asleep. Slowly her head rested on aham's shoulders. the practice of control which aham had prided himself fled through the window. He felt that all he had wanted was to be with gopi. To have her so close and so innocently sleep stirred those feelings her tried to control. He thought to hell with control and put his arms around gopi and covered her with a blanket and closed his eyes. This is how kokila found them, sleeping peacefully in each other's arms.
