Chapter 7
Gopi started eating her dinner as soon as she said this and Aham smiled and started eating as well. None of them noticed how all the Modis were starring at them. Koki, Parag, Chirag and Hetal were looking at them with a smile on their faces where as all the young ones were starring at Aham as if he had suddenly grown a second head. Koki gestured everyone not to make any comments as she knew if they started teasing Aham and Gopi she would keep her distance from Aham and she did not want her munna to suffer because of their silly jokes. She could clearly see that Aham really liked Gopi and she did not want anyone to say something which would jeopardise Aham's love life as she calls it.
After dinner everyone was having a chat when Jigar and Kinjal started feeling bored. They asked the DJ to put some nice romantic songs and asked everyone to join the floor for a dance. It was Koki's idea as she wanted Gopi to dance with aham.
Aham was discussing business with Chirag and Gopi was talking to some employees in a separate group. Koki walked to Aham and said
Koki: Munna tum yahan bhi business ki batein kar rahe ho? Party mein aye ho at least enjoy yourself a bit.
Aham: Mom aap bhi na. Acha tell me how do you want me to enjoy myself?
Koki: Woh dekho angel wahan kissi se baat kar rahi hai. Go and ask her for a dance.
Aham was taken aback when he heard this and was wondering why he did not think of this as it was the perfect opportunity to get closer to his angel. He kept standing there starring at Gopi and smiling to himself. Koki controlled her smile and tapped Aham on his arm.
Aham blushed and said: Theek hain mom, I'll go ask angel for a dance since you are insisting so much.
Gopi was chatting with one of the other employees when someone tapped her on her shoulder. She turned around and saw Aham looking at her nervously.
Gopi smiled and said: Yes Mr Modi?
Aham looked in Gopi's eyes: Angel... Umm... Dance?
Gopi smiled and took Aham's hand and they both headed towards the dance floor and started dancing. Aham noticed that Gopi was still smilling to herself and asked
Aham: What is so amusing angel?
Gopi looked at Aham and smiled mischievously: You were nervous to ask me for a dance right? So cute!
Aham blushed and said defensively: I was not nervous angel and men are not cute.
Gopi: But you looked really cute when you were nervous Mr Modi.
Aham pulled Gopi closer and put both his hands around her waist. He thought she was a perfect fit in his arms and Gopi was thinking that she has never felt this safe and at peace before in her life.
Aham: Tum mujhe Mr Modi kyun bulati ho? Please call me Aham angel.
Gopi: You promised that you will not treat me differently from your other employees right? To main aap ko aap ke naam se kaise bula sakti houn?
Aham: That promise is valid only when we are in the office angel and only during office hours. After office hours na main tumhara boss houn aur nahi tum meri employee. Office ke bahar to tum mujhe Aham bula sakti ho na?
Gopi looked into his eyes and said: Ok lekin sirf after office hours.
Aham: Aur hum jab akele hon tab bhi tum mujhe Aham bula sakti ho. As long as nobody hears you I won't be treating you any different from them right?
Gopi smiled sweetly and said: Wrong! I think you are pushing your luck too much now Mr Modi.
Aham smiled and winked at Gopi: It was worth the try angel aur yeh kya? Phir se Mr Modi? You are making me old yaar!
Gopi blushed: Sorry... Woh... Ummm...
Aham smiled seeing her nervousness and he knew that Gopi had feelings for him aswell but she was not aware of them yet.
Aham: I'm waiting. Bolo na. Mera naam itna bhi mushkil nahi hai. A four letter word Aham. Itna simple sa naam hai mera. (He said teasingly)
Gopi blushed even more and said: Aham!! Ab khush?
Aham: Bohot. Main tumhein batana hi bhool gaya, Sunday ko hamare yahan pooja hai aur tumhein zaroor ana hai. Sirf ana hi nahi hai balki saari tayari tumhein hi karni hain, tum meri p.a jo ho.
Gopi: Main zaroor aoungi and I'll start the preparations from saturday itself. Aap ne kissi ko bataya to nahi about my real identity?
Aham: Nahi bataya aur batauga bhi nahi. Mujhe pata hain you told me all this because you trust me completely to main tumhara bharosa kaise tor sakta houn? Main Jigar ke saath har baath share karta houn lekin yeh baat main nai usse bhi nahi batayi. Both your secret and you are safe with me angel.
Gopi: I trust you with my life Aham. You are the only one I've ever felt this safe with. I've never felt this way despite being surrounded by my family and bodyguards all my life. Issi liye to I've never taken any chances and I never let anyone near me. I always felt the need to stay alert lekin jab bhi aap ke saath hoti houn I feel very relaxed and protected.
Aham really wanted to hug Gopi when he heard her say all this but he controlled himself as he was more concerned about her reputation than his. He tightened his grip on her waist instead. Gopi starred into his eyes and understood how he was feeling without him having to say anything and she tightened her grip on his shoulders as well.
None of them wanted to leave each others arms when the music stopped but they reluctantly put some distance between them and smiled at each other. Gopi realised that she had fallen in love with Aham from the moment she met him that's why she could not bear to see him upset when rashi said all that stuff to him. That's the reason she ate the food which he brought for her without feeling that she was breaking the rules she has always followed. She loved the way he took care of her and always felt the need to protect her. She blushed and looked down as she could not look into his passion filled eyes anymore.
Gopi smiled and said: Main sarah ko dekh kar ati houn.
She rushed to where sarah and sean were sitting and Aham smiled and followed her. When he reached near them he heard Gopi telling sean to take sarah home as she looked tired and she will take a taxi home. Sean looked at her as if she had lost her mind and was about to protest when aham kept his hand on Gopi's back and said "don't worry sean you guys can go. I'll drop Gopi home but I need to take her to the doctor's first as she seems to have lost her mind"
Gopi: Excuse me?
Both Aham and Sean pretended that they did not even hear her.
Sean: Thank you for everything Mr Modi and please keep me informed about what treatment the doctor suggests for her.
Gopi: What treatment?
They ignored her again and she was glaring at them angrily.
Aham: I wish you both all the happiness in the world and don't forget to let us know when the little one arrives. I'll call you tomorrow morning and tell you what the doctor said about angel sean.
Once sean and sarah left Gopi faced the other way and crossed her arms. She did not believe these two, they called her crazy? And they kept ignoring her as if she was invisible.
Gopi: I'm not going with you Mr Modi.
Aham: Yes you are Gopi and I'm not taking no for an answer.
Koki arrived just then and asked Aham to drop Gopi home as it was late and she should not travel on her own. Gopi bent her head and followed Aham quietly after taking koki's blessings as she could not say no to her.
As soon as they reached the car Aham grabbed Gopi's arm, turned her around to face him and backed her against the car door. He leaned really close to her and said angrily
Aham: Tum pagal ho gayi ho kya Gopi? How could you even think about travelling on your own in a taxi this late at night? 😡Agar tumhe kuch ho jata to have you ever thought ke mera kya hoga? Mar jaunga main tumhare bina.😭 I love you angel apni jaan se bhi zyada.
Tears were flowing from both their eyes non stop by the time he poured his heart out infront of Gopi. She hugged him tight and started sobbing.
Gopi: I love you too Aham. Main bhi ji nahi paungi aap ke bina.
Aham tightened his arms around her: Shhh pari.. bas bohot hogaya.. I don't ever want to see tears in your eyes.
Gopi: Pari?
Aham: haan pari.. Woh pari jo mujhe Singhania Hotel mein pehli baar dikhi thi jiss ne pehli nazar mein hi mera dil chura lia. Meri pyari si pari..
Gopi blushed and hid her face in his chest: to phir aap ne mujhe Gopi kyun bulaya?
Aham: Because you made me angry. Phir gussa dilaogi to phir se Gopi bulaounga.
Aham raised her face up and wiped her tears. He then kissed Gopi's forehead and she blushed and closed her eyes. Aham planted soft kisses on both her eyes, cheeks and the corner of her mouth whispering sweet nothings to her. "Open your eyes pari, look at me" he whispered.
Gopi opened her eyes and starred into Aham's passion filled ones. He bent down and kissed her passionately on her lips. Aham's arms tightened around Gopi's waist and his hands went to her back pulling her closer to him. Gopi's hands went up to his hair and she pulled him closer as well and they forgot everything and kept kissing each other till they were out of breath. They both were breathing heavily when they pulled apart and Aham hugged Gopi and planted a kiss on her forehead.
Aham: I love you baby.
Gopi blushed and hugged him tighter saying "me too"
