Chapter 6
Gopi had been working really hard to ensure Sarah has a memorable time at the party and she made sure everything was perfect before she went to get ready. When Gopi came back after getting ready she noticed that most of the employees had already arrived and she went and stood by the door to receive the others with a smile on her face.
At the Modi residence everyone was rushing to get ready as Aham was breathing down their necks. He had been ready and waiting for them for the past 30 minutes and he was getting more and more impatient by the minute. He was thinking why on earth did he have to tell angel that he would be bringing his whole family? They were the ones who were making him late now and he could not even leave without them. As no one was making an appearance he lost his patience and shouted.
Aham: Mom, Dad, Chachu, Chachi, Jigar, Kinjal! where are you guys? Hurry up we are getting late!😡
They all rushed downstairs when they heard him shout they were all confused about this behaviour of his except for Koki and Hetal as Koki had told Hetal about Gopi and how she calmed jai down.
Koki: Arre munna humein theek se tayyar hone to do.
Hetal: Haan dikra you know how we like everything to be perfect before going out, then why are you rushing us? Party mein koi tumhara ka intezar kar raha hai kya?
Aham became red as he did not want them to know he was impatient to meet Gopi.
Aham: No chachi... I was thinking that it does not look good if the boss arrives late himself.. bas issi liye..
Chirag: Bas issi liye? Why have you gone all red then?
Jigar: Haan bhai I've never seen you blush before.
Kinjal: Kahin sach mein koi aap ka party mein intezar nahi kar raha?
Aham got defensive and said: If you are all done with your investigation can we please leave now? I don't want to be late.
Saying so he went and sat in his car and waited for everyone else to get in their respective cars before he started driving towards the hotel.
Gopi was still at the door welcoming the employees in when the Modis walked in. Aham could not stop staring at her as Gopi looked gorgeous in a white sari and the simplest white gold and diamond jewellery she could find as she did not like showing off.
Gopi walked to them with a beautiful smile on her face and welcomed them all in.
Gopi: Good evening Mr Modi, namaste maji. And she bent down and took Koki's blessings.
Aham: Hello angel. I must say you've done a wonderful job with organising this party. Everything is perfect just the way I would have done it. Let me introduce you to my family. Mom, chachu aur Jigar ko to tum jaanti hi ho. Yeh mer chachi hain Hetal, chirag chachu ki wife. Aur chachi this is angel my new pa.
Gopi: Hello madam. Mujhe nahi pata tha ke Jigar sir is Mr Modi's brother.
Hetal: Hello angel, tum mujhe madam nahi chachi bula sakti ho. Koki thik keh rahi thi, you are truly an angel.
Gopi blushed when she heard this: Thank you chachi and Jigar sir aap to mujhe appoint kar ke bhul hi gaye. Aap ek baar bhi mera haal puchne nahi aye?
Jigar: Woh kya hai na angel I heard Aham threatening some young men at the office to stay away from you aur mujhe maar nahi khani that's why I've stayed away as well.
Gopi became all red hearing this and Aham jumped to her defence.
Aham: Shut up Jigar. Please don't take him seriously angel isse sare hue jokes karne ki adat hai. This is my dad and my younger sister kinjal.
Gopi took parag's blessings and hugged kinjal(she is very sweet in my FF).
Kinjal: It's so nice to finally meet you angel. Mom has been talking about you ever since she came back home today and I was dying to meet you.
Gopi: Thank you Kinjal. It was really nice meeting you all. Hope you enjoy the party.
Gopi's phone rang when she was chatting to the Modi's. It was Sean saying that he had arrived with sarah.
Gopi: Mr Modi sean and sarah have arrived.
Aham: Mom angel and I are going to welcome sarah and her husband. Agar kissi bhi cheez ki zaroorat ho just give me a shout.
Koki: Theek hai munna.Tum dono jao.
Both Aham and Gopi walked towards the hotel reception to welcome sarah and sean. As soon as they were out of earshot Gopi looked at Aham and burst out laughing and Aham just smiled at her as she was the only one he could never get angry at.
Sarah was surprised when she saw Aham and Gopi together at reception.
Aham/Gopi: Hello sarah.
Sarah: Hello sir, angel meet my husband sean. We came here to have dinner.
Aham: Nice meeting you sean why don't you guys join us then? We came here for dinner as well.
Sarah: No thank you sir we would not like to intrude.
Aham: You are coming with us and that's final.
The foursome walked towards the party together and sarah was stunned when she realised this was her farewell party. Everyone came to meet her and she was overwhelmed with all the good wishes she received. She was made to cut the cake which was specially made for her and Gopi went on stage and took the mike right after.
Gopi: May I have your attention please? Hey sarah I know we met each other very recently, 2 days to be precise but we have bonded really well and now you one of the very few special people in my life. I wish you, sean and your little one all the happiness in the world and I have a little surprise for you and I really hope you will like it.
Gopi started the slide show of pictures of sarah from all steps of her life from when she was born till now and she made a sweet and cute comment of each of them. When the slideshow ended she gave sarah a huge card which all the employees had signed along with some gifts from everyone. Sarah was so emotional that she started crying and hugged Gopi really tight. Gopi hugged her back and calmed her down. Everyone had gone back to enjoying the party and Gopi made sarah sit on a nearby chair and took and envelope from her handbag.
Gopi: This is a small gift from me and my family sarah. Please accept it.
Sarah opened the envelope and was really shocked. She did not know how to react and seeing her like this sean took the envelope from her and read it. It was a letter which said that the Singhania's were sponsoring Sarah's and Sean's child's education from when he starts nursery till he graduated. It had details of a joint account for Sean and Sarah where the money had already been deposited and the letter was signed by the CEO of SGC Gopi Singhania. Sean could not control his tears anymore, he would have hugged Gopi if he was allowed to but he knew he could not since she was Royalty. Gopi understood his feelings completely wipes his tears and held both his hands.
Gopi: Did I ever tell you that you don't look good when crying?
Sean: No that's because you've never seen me cry before.
Sarah: I have no words to thank you. You truly are an angel.
Gopi: It's alright you guys now stop with the tears. Sean has always protected me with his life. Can't I do even this much for your child?
Aham who had seen the letter as well was once again very proud of Gopi and he did not know he could love her even more.
Aham: Now it's my turn to give you your gift.
Sarah: But sir you have already given us so much.
Aham: All this is from the employees Sarah. This is your real gift.
Sarah took the envelope that Aham was handing to her. She opened it and found gift vouchers for a whole nursery from the most expensive shop in London. She burst out crying again and Aham hugged her and calmed her down.
Sarah: Thank you so much sir. I've never met nice people like both of you before. May god bless you both and may all your wishes come true.
Sean: Thank you so much Mr Modi. You both have given us such a big surprise.
Aham/Gopi: It's ok guys. We wish you all the happiness in the world.
Aham: Why don't we all have dinner together? I'm starving! Sean did you bring what I asked you to?
Sean: Yes Mr Modi, I gave it to your head chef.
Aham: You guys start having your dinner, I'll be right back.
Gopi: Lekin main yahan ka khana nahi kha sakti Mr Modi, so i'll wait for you guys here.
Aham starred in Gopi's eyes: I asked your personal chef to prepare your dinner and sean brought it here. I would never let anything harm you angel, trust me.
Gopi looked into Aham's eyes and smiled: I trust you Mr Modi.
Aham: Sab ke saath baitho main abhi tumhara khana lata houn. Ok?
Gopi nodded and went to sit with the Modis along with sean and sarah. Everyone started eating and Koki noticed that Gopi did not have a plate in front of her.
Koki: Tum nahi kha rahi ho angel? Tumhara plate kahan hai beta?
Gopi did not know what to say. Just then Aham came with two plates of food and gave one to Gopi and said "Here you go angel" and sat next to Gopi. All the Modis were shocked as this was the first time they had seen Aham bringing food for someone. The man who never even poured a glass of water for himself just brought a plate of food for Gopi.
Gopi noticed that Aham was having the food which he ordered for her as well. She smiled and said "thank you Mr Modi".
Aham said quietly for only Gopi to hear: No worries. Let me eat first, if i'm still ok after a minute or so tab tum khana ok?
Gopi smiled broadly: Usski koi zaroorat nahi hai. I know aap mujhe kuch nahi hone denge. I trust you.
Gopi started eating her dinner as soon as she said this and Aham smiled and started eating as well. None of them noticed how all the Modis were starring at them. Koki, parag, Hetal and chirag were looking at them with a smile on their faces where as all the young ones were starring at Aham as if he had suddenly grown a second head.
