I beg to differ with you on this one Ramas.
I was in India for good 25 + years of my life and now I am in US.
What Saloni is doing, from my POV and my experiences so far in my life will be treated as meddling in somebody's affair in India as well in US/Canada or for that matter any part of the world.

After what Padma told Saloni, ( again a surprise why would she do that ) why did Saloni go to meet Shubhra's FIL. He listens to Shubhra, she should have sent her. I know, a few will say how come a DIL can ask FIL about this, then what right does Saloni has to ask him about all this.
I am not against Saloni helping Shubhra, but i am not convinced at the degree that Saloni gets involved.
When Shubhra was having issues with Neel, it was justified because, Saloni knew Neel and his father and Neel gave due respect to Saloni.
When it was Tara and Jiji issue it was justified , because Jiji was directly effecting Saloni and they shared the same house.
But now, Shubhra had a good intention to make the family happy ( she is trying to be Saloni for once )
but the ways are wrong.
If your husband is not talking about the father, before u involve your sister in the issue, would u not wnat to know the reason. Shubhra never asked any body why, she only asked them to get OK.
So , somehow after all this blabbering, I am still not Ok with Saloni getting involved
