I watch Saat Phere sometimes, it's a good serial. The only thing I'm confused is that I read somewhere Saloni is like discriminated & part of the reason is because of her skin color, since she has a dark complexion. The thing is, don't a lot of Indians have dark complexions, so why discriminate? & I'm not trying to sound racist here, but why is it such a big deal being "white?" People with dark complexions can be beautiful too.

I think you got it wrong, i checked on the net... "Jamadar" is a person who is from a lower middle class society such as sweeper/peons. I think you meant "Zameendar" I found out that Zameendars in olden days were landlords who treated the lower class/poor ppl badly. And that includes discriminating in skin color.

Yeh agree saloni is the biggest example! It is old thinking people in hotter contrys naturally slightly tanned than in the uk whenever i go on holiday i get darker so its not big deal so why make it.... I am really light than rest of family to me it makes no difference ! I am asian and want to look asian!!
